Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

Good morning all,
Had my scan on thursday, all was ok, they gave me a later due date (21st). Was realy pleased to see a heart beat (thats all you could see).
Anyway feeling realy ill this morning, todays the day we are telling the step kids, not sure how they will take it. Hope you are all well apart from the morning sickness.

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 11:05

feel a bit down. Dont think Dh gets it at all!!!

Cadmum · 06/08/2005 12:49

mum2some1: I am so sorry. Try to put you rfeet up and get some rest. I had this with DS2 and was convinced that it must mean that I was having another miscarriage so I asked for and got a scan. All was well despite the spotting and my worry.

Really thinking of you. Hope it goes away soon. How are you feeling otherwise (physically).

Baggybear: What would be worse? morning sickness that wakens you at 4:00 am or being sick because of uncooked chicken? Could it be a tummy bug? Have any of your little people been poorly?

Munz: I hope that you are having a lovely relaxing time. Missing you.

Hello everyone else too!

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 12:53

I feel fine! just a little worried. nothing much there today. Never miscarried before so dont know what to look for! should i see midwife (not booked in yet)

Cadmum · 06/08/2005 13:06

Do you think that a midwife would see you? (I have only lived in London in the Uk so the answer for me was a resounding NO)
I just know that I felt so much better when I saw that things were progressing as they should be despite the spotting.

Sorry for not checking further down the thread before asking but have you been feeling sick yet? (Sorry it is only 8:00 am here so I still have bed-head)

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 13:15

No dont feel sick at all.

Cadmum · 06/08/2005 13:40

It is still early days...

Do you think that a midwife would see you?

Are you still spotting? Sorry if asking for TMI but is it red blood?

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 13:48

not a lot there now. (not been to loo,too scared!!)
It was brown yesterday then a little in a discharge!! sorry bit graphic!!!
Very little though. no pains etc.Never had morning sickness really

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 15:32

well just been to loo. a tiny bit but not much!
what should I do?

marne · 06/08/2005 16:17

I went to hospital a few weeks ago because of a bleed, they wer'nt much help as the could not scan me at the weekend. It depends on how good your hospital is, maybe it is worth going they might scan you! Good luck, hope all is ok.

marne · 06/08/2005 16:19

Forgot to say, i also had brown discharge and then fresh blood a week later but evrything was ok, hope all is ok with you, keep us posted.

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 16:20

even though it is very scant would you go to hospital?
Would have to wait till monday I think!

marne · 06/08/2005 16:30

Its up to you, they would probably give you a date for a scan on monday, they also made me take a pregnancy test. Some hospitals will scan you on a sat, how many weeks are you?

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 16:40

about 7 thats all!!!

marne · 06/08/2005 16:45

They should scan you if you are past 6 weeks, have you had any fresh blood or is it just brown? I was told brown discharge is ok but if it is fresh blood than go to hospital. Have you got any pains, if not that is also a good sign.

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 16:56

no pain. a bit of wind!!!

marne · 06/08/2005 17:01

Its probably nothing to wory about, if you get any bad pain then i would go. See how you are tomorow and then i would see the doctor on monday just to make sure baby is ok.

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 17:11

hope it is ok. just feeling fed up.

majormoo · 06/08/2005 19:12

well I went to GP on Tuesday as I had spotting and had to wait til Friday for a scan. So if you go to your GP, you should get a scan, but if it is the same everywhere, you may need to wait a few days for it.

You could maybe give NHS Direct a call and see if they suggest going to hospital???

majormoo · 06/08/2005 19:17

By the way, both the GP and the staff at the hospital told me it is very common in pregnancy and most likely it is nothing to worry about (and I had some bright red bleeding.) So it is probably nothing to worry about (easy to say!!)

mumtosomeone · 07/08/2005 11:10

thanks marj

coppertop · 07/08/2005 13:29

Hi everyone. I'm on dh's computer because the long threads are too much for my ancient computer.

Auntynon I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. Like everyone else I hope you are okay (or at least as well as you can be).

Cadmum and Mumtosomeone - I hope you both get some reassurance soon and will come and share your good news with us all. Good luck.

Anchovies - Fingers crossed for you that it will all turn out okay. xx

Majormoo - I'm so pleased for you that all was well.

I see I'm not the only one with a wind problem. I also seem to have developed an extra-sensitive sense of smell and believe me it's not a good combination! The acidy feeling has also started too. I've already got a big supply of Rennies to carry round with me.

I'm only 7+3 weeks but already seem to have a bump. I look about 4 months pg. Dh thinks I must have got my dates wrong but I'm 99% certain that I haven't. I did a test earlier in the month and that was negative. I got a BFP a few days later. There's a history of twins in my family but I'm sort of hoping that there's just one baby in there! I have a booking-in appointment with the community MW this week so hopefully she'll be able to help with some answers. Eeek!

baggybear · 07/08/2005 20:13

Hi all! Hope you've all been okay today.

M2S1 - I hope things are better this evening. I'm sure everything is fine, but hope you get some reassurance soon. xx

Coppertop - Don't worry! I seem to be expanding already and i'm not 7 weeks til Tuesday!! I'm def of my dates so I can't be further gone than I think. M-in-L thinks it might be twins as her horoscope mentioned twins in the family last week! And with 3 already that might be a bit of a handful!

munz · 07/08/2005 20:14

just quickly cadmum - glad everythings ok.

munz · 07/08/2005 20:19

ooh sorry cadmum thought u'd had the scan, just looked quick fingers crossed for tues for u.
