Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

Oh girls, not good that we're all feeling so sicky eh.....still be over with in another 4 weeks or so!
Munz I had booking in at 8weeks....am 10 weeks tomorrow, roll on the end of 1st trimester! and sickness!!

baggybear · 02/08/2005 19:52

Cadmum - you have hit the nail on the head!! If i have a twinge or pain i think I worry, but if i stop having twinges and pains i worry!!! If iam sick i'm fed up, but if i'm not i'm sick with worry!!! I've still got 6 weeks before a scan so i've got a long, long wait...

Cadmum · 02/08/2005 20:09

Sorry baggybear...

I am feeling more worried; expecting to see blood when I go to the loo. I suspect that it is normal to worry when I have played this game 3 times but it is seriously doing my head in. As I said earlier though, I have never had a miscarriage where I bled so I don't know where this crazy fear originates...

Sorry for being blue...

Hope everyone else is well (but sick enough to fell pg! IYKWIM

baggybear · 02/08/2005 21:14

I'm so sorry cadmum . I've just gone back and read thread. I can understand now why you are more worried. If it helps to talk, i'm happy to listen. I know I'm quite new to this, and you now and trust other MNers over me but I'd like to think I could give you a good pair of ears to bash

Cadmum · 03/08/2005 01:23

Thanks baggybear... I reallly love MN for the supportive mums. Am in tears again...

I am probably just over-reacting as I am still really sick and so tired that I can barely function.

poppyh · 03/08/2005 07:44

Hope all is well.
Cadmum and Anchovies especially.I keep having big worries about miscarrying as I did in May.But got to stay focused and positive!!Have the worst migrane ever.Had it since 5pm yesterday. Is it safe to take paracetomol?Ive been laying on the sofa whilst Dd watches cbeebies. Its been the same 4 2 days.Feeling guilty.

anchovies · 03/08/2005 08:13

Morning everyone

Am a bit scared today as dh has gone back to work. He was made redundant almost 2 months ago but went for an interview yesterday and got the job and they let him start today. First day on my own with ds, started badly as he got up at 6am - how typical!

Hope you are feeling better after some sleep this morning cadmum. It must be so hard for you with everything that has happened in the past. When is your scan, it's soon isn't it? I am really thinking about you.

Poppyh, sorry to hear you're not feeling well, it is fine to take paracetamol but it doesn't even touch my migraines! Don't feel guilty about the cbeebies thing, I think almost everyone on this thread with little ones are doing exactly the same thing! Ds is enjoying it I think, we cuddle up under a blanket on the sofa and eat biscuits!

Morning! Hope everyone is doing okay today.

Anchovies - I hope your day goes fine and without hitch. take it easy. But it's good news that your DH has a new job

Cadmum - Thats what MN is all about for me; being able to talk to people and get support without judgment. I love it!! Hope you got a sood nights sleep and are feeling ok today.

Poppyh - Sorry to hear you have a migraine. I hope it goes soon. I would love to lay on the sofa with DS and chill for the day - do you wanna swop!! Ha-ha!!

Well, I've got a pile of ironing the size of , well, i'm not sure what!! I desperately need to do some serious housework, but just haven't got the energy...Ahhhhh, never mind, it'll be there tomorrow!!

Lizzylou · 03/08/2005 08:30

Anchovies, great news about your DH's job! My little boy was up at 6am too! We'd just got him to 7/7.30, but he was so full of beans, banging on the door to be let out!!!!
Poppyh, I had a migraine yesterday too, think it must have been the muggy weather here, I had a Kool n Soothe patch on my head most of the night (which DS was trying to rip off!), but after a few wake ups with teething boy slept soundly through and feel better today, but bit achey and tender around my head and neck! I remember last time round how I would have killed for Nurofen!!!
Cadmum, try not to worry too much(so easy to say, I know!)it is normal to worry (I check every time I go to loo and worry that my boobs aren't sore!)but please don't feel too down!!!
Everyone else, hope you are feeling OK and have a great day........
I too am a CBeebies Mom at the moment, altho I am working from home today (I work Tuesday and Wednesdays) so DS is at nursery (hurrah!), the TV was straight on at 6am tho!!!

poppyh · 03/08/2005 08:31

Thanks Anchovies!Hope you are ok today.Have been up since 6 making tents on the sofa with DD.
Have taken paracetomol but know it wont help.Oh well never mind!
Hope you have a good day honey.Take it easy.

poppyh · 03/08/2005 08:32

Thanks also baggybear and Lizzy

Lizzylou · 03/08/2005 08:37

PoppH, have you tried the Kool n Soothe patches, you can put them on your forehead and/or neck (forehead helps me best)and they do help a bit (not as good as a massive painkiller!!!), they are most chemists/Spars etc....I keep a stock in now, when the weather is humid I really suffer from headaches and migraines.........

baggybear · 03/08/2005 08:37

Can I ask you all a question? I feel I know you all well enough now to ask this ! Does anyone else have really bad wind or is it just me??!!??

baggybear · 03/08/2005 08:45

Was that a really bad question to ask??

Lizzylou · 03/08/2005 08:46

Like you wouldn't believe Baggybear!
Thanks heavens I work from home mostly!!!!

baggybear · 03/08/2005 08:47

Thank God for that, Lizzy!! I thought there was something seriously wrong with my insides!! Even my DS's are looking at me in disgust!!

poppyh · 03/08/2005 08:47

Just realised Ive got a kool and soothe in the cupboard! Thanks!
Babbybear, in answer to your question, no its not just you!!

baggybear · 03/08/2005 08:50

Phew!!!!

Lizzylou · 03/08/2005 08:52

I'm glad we are all in the same boat (it'd be jet propelled b the sound of it!) re: wind, I was worried!
I scare DS all the time with my "outbursts"!!!!

baggybear · 03/08/2005 08:55

LOL!! Lizzy!!! Well, I have pretty impressive expulsions at the best of times (got Crohn's disease) but I've outdone myself by far!!!

Oh, isn't it nice that we talk about these things together!!!!!!

munz · 03/08/2005 08:58

AN - i'm so sorry for your loss honney. (((((hugs)))))) I was v v lucky after my M/C I managed to fall straight away althou someday i'm not so sure it was a good thing (don't get me wrong i'm ecstatic) but the additional fears are there.

BB - wind yes v bad, DH is now calling me smelly bum lol.

POP - migranes - when I had one I rang the m/w and she said it was safe to have parocetamol (sp) 8 in 24 hours only but I only needed 4 and was all fixed up with a long sleep.

anchovies - glad your DH has a new jobs hope all goes well for u both. and you keep that beanie safe!

cadmum - these hormones are horrid arn't they (((((hugs))))) all your fears are perfectly normal. ((((hugs)))) hope they don't settle in too much thou.

things here are good, sen most of the family, have little cousins visiting today, had lots of ooh are u PG questions so far managed to dodge them all. mum's starting to get more excited, feeling v good at the minute not much hormones (but then i didn't notice them b4) sickness comes on about 10.30 ish am but if I eat then it's OK until tea time when I have to eat again - so really on hol stuffing my face! had a burger king yesterday at 10 am, lol, and have developed a love for the smell of the butchers! lol
