Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

I feel slightly better today too, although my dd keeps waking me up at 5.30am which isn't helping! I haven't managed to find a heartbeat with the doppler yet either, so that combined with the sickness easing ( will it last?? ) has got me jittery about the baby being okay. I signed up at the surgery today for antenatal care, so just waiting for the MW to phone me, and she'll do a home visit sometime in the next couple of weeks. I'm homebirthing again hopefully, so should get all my antenatal appointments at home - worth signing up for HB just for that! It's the same MW as last time too, and although we didnt' really "click" atleast we know each other, and when I tell her I'm declining initial blood tests she'll appreciate why and not kick up a fuss.

poppyh · 26/07/2005 16:37

No this is my 3rd and final!!

Cadmum · 26/07/2005 16:43

Welcome poppyh: Never say FINAL...

RosiePosie · 26/07/2005 16:46

Hi Poppy. . and Daisy,

This is my third and final too. How old are your other two? I have a ds aged four and a 20 month old dd.

Cadmum · 26/07/2005 16:46

Rosieposie: Did you have a doppler last time as well? How early were you hoping to find the HB? Curious for 2 reasons: 1. I would like to rent/buy a doppler for peace of mind and 2. I have a tipped back uterus so I have never heart the HB before 13 weeks and in the case of DS1 was sent for a scan because nobody could find it at 17 weeks. (Thank heavens I was so young and naive that it never occured to me how bad a sign that could be!)

Cadmum · 26/07/2005 16:47

Oops! Posted too early!

Meant to add that I hope you are just being given a break from the ms as opposed to it being a bad sign...

poppyh · 26/07/2005 16:48

Thanks everyone!
I have a DS who is 11 and a DD who is 2 years.

Jackstini · 26/07/2005 17:11

Hi Poppy & Daisy & Auntynon

Wow we are getting so many more newbies on here - It's so relaxing to know we have more brains to pick when ours are not working!
I am due day after you Daisy

LL - how was your appt? have you got a good m/w?

Is anyone else suffering from a complete lack of interest in food at the moment? I just don't fancy anything and have lost another lb can't believe I am thinking " I want to be fat!"

RosiePosie · 26/07/2005 17:17

No, this is the first time I've had my own doppler - as this is my last pregnancy I'm indulging myself. I have heard people say they have got a heartbeat before nine weeks (I'm nine weeks today ), the instructions say from 10-12 weeks though, so I'm not panicking really! That must be worrying, not finding a beat, but I guess atleast you know why now. I can't remember when the MW's usually find it though - do they listen for it at the booking in appointment?

poppyh · 26/07/2005 17:29

Im not interested in food atm either.I feel really sick most evenings.Hoping I will start to feel better soon.

Frizbe · 26/07/2005 18:15
