Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

desperatehousewife · 24/07/2005 10:08

hello all, hope you are having a good weekend and not feeling too grim!

How many of us have told people? I have told EVERYBODY - takes everything I've got not to stop strangers in the street and tell them!!

anchovies and rosieposie - so sorry about the being sick/feeling really sick still...what a nightmare for you. Over half way there though, until trimester 1 over and should be feeling more normal...??

I have had no more dodgy d'charge since last night, but now have little shooting, stretching pains up my abdomen. Hoping this is normal and part of the whole thing stretching down there, but am worrying slightly that it's something more sinister. Will phone midwife on monday morning and see what she says I think.

Have to be honest, been doing more physical stuff than I would like/normally be doing at the moment. Had builders in for the last god knows how many weeks, and they finally went on Thursday, so all weekend been putting the house back together, which is why i was doing hardcore hoovering as the dust was about an inch thick everywhere.

Good luck everyone for next week.

munz · 24/07/2005 11:48

morning girls, well today's a bad day for me, i've actually been retching which I've only had b4 with the migrane, head's ok thou so will tidy around and crul up on the sofa with a christopher eccleston film! - or jonny depp! hmm!

dhw - we've told parents only and ppl we work with here none of out family know's yet, althou it's gonna be all I can do not to tell everyone next week when I go home as my cousin who's g/f of 3 month's is due in feb has announced it to the whole family already and they're getting married as well in 2 weeks - like that's gonna last! (well i'll be v surprised if it does, I'll support him u understand but I know him and there's not much between the ears bless him!) so as I say all my strenght will go on not telling everyone and hoping that I don't puke up everywhere as I don't think I could swear the family to secracy and I don't wanna blurt it out when i'm there cos it will look like i'm just saying yeah and so am I sort of a thing.

anyhow been to tesco's and got 2 big bars of choc and 2 cream slices so when i'm feeling a touch better this avo i'll munch them - I guess what doesn't help is not eating properly is it anyhow got some ginger ale so off to have a glass of that.

hope everyone else is doing OK thou.

coppertop · 24/07/2005 12:18

Can I sneak in and join you all? I haven't had time to see the doctor yet but got a BFP last week. I have 2 boys, aged 5 and 2.6 and it looks as though no.3 will be due on 22nd March.

I've been feeling sick for just over a week and just want to sit down all the time. I've gone off chocolate already so maybe it's not all bad.

toothyboy · 24/07/2005 12:41

Hi Coppertop - welcome!! So how many weeks are you? Can't remember who it was but someone else was waiting for others who were due towards the end of March!

Anyway, lots of us are feeling sick and tired at the moment, so you're in good company!!

coppertop · 24/07/2005 12:52

Thanks for the welcome.

I think I'm about 5+3 weeks but will hopefully get more accurate info from the doctor/MW. It's amazing how much I've forgotten from last time round.

toothyboy · 24/07/2005 13:00

I'm finding it's not that I've forgotten, it's just so different. I loved being pregnant last time - absolutely sailed through, with no nausea, no problems, just a little bit of tiredness in the early days! This time I'm feeling generally queasy all the time, and can't rest as easily with a 2 yr old badgering me all the time!! Oh and no cravings last time (gutted), and still none yet, although I've already decided I'm going to make them up - just haven't decided what yet!

munz · 24/07/2005 13:03

CT - hiya and welcome, yes there was one of us after more recuits fro the latter part of march! can't remeber who thou we'll have to ask achovies v nicely to do another stats list. hope you're sickness doesn't last for too long.

tb - how r u doing today?

munz · 24/07/2005 13:03

u know at the minute mine's for fruit (apples in particular weird!)

toothyboy · 24/07/2005 13:04

I'm OK Munz, having just said I'm queasy all the time - actually feel fine today! Ds has just gone to bed so am deciding what to have for lunch! How are you?

Janh · 24/07/2005 13:06

coppertop!!!! congratulations! (and to everybody else of course )

(I was just being amazed that there is a March thread and that there are 300+ posts on it already so was having a nosy )

toothyboy · 24/07/2005 13:07

I've just been thinking that there'll soon be an April 06 thread and we won't be a novelty anymore!

munz · 24/07/2005 13:07

hmm not bad thannks, i've decided to et proper butter this week - afterall i'm gonna get fat anyways! lol. sickiness has worn off for the post part, now I just can't be arsed to do anything - althou oliver's on uk living at 2 so I might sit and watch that with a blanket - god i'm so lazy when i'm home alone!

munz · 24/07/2005 13:08

I know tb - then we'll be like just ending our first trimester - can't wait for that personally - blinking sickness!

it's dead odd isn't it 300 posts on here already! we must be a talkative bunch when we get going!

Janh · 24/07/2005 13:09

And there are so many of you on it!

It'll be the heatwave last month you know...3 of mine were born in April, I know all about it

munz · 24/07/2005 13:10

lol, ah and there was me thinking it was cos of the summer solcest! (sp) lol. apparently an extra fertile time of the year! he he he besides which there's loads of PG woman around here right now as the lad's have just come back from Iraq so theres a mini baby boom!

toothyboy · 24/07/2005 13:11

Ds was born in an April - you could have a point there!

coppertop · 24/07/2005 13:21

My secret's out at last, Jan.

Jackstini · 24/07/2005 19:37

Hi all,

Friz - my conference was in Orange County, California. Very nice but only had 36 hours there! Just found out I have got to back in 4 weeks to host a buyer visit. I am guessing my secret may have to come out then...

Munz - You don't know how tempting the wine was! I surprised myself with my willpower.

DHW - I have also told everyone I know - far too difficult to keep the news in (maybe because it's my first?) I had those wierd pains you mention too - my doc said it was just the baby/placenta etc 'embedding' and it was fine

CT - Hi, welcome & congratulations! We are a talkative lot so you will have lots of company

Cadmum · 24/07/2005 20:05

Munz: Sorry that you are also feeling wretchedly miserable. Only 5 more weeks or so. I can barely drag myself around the house today without feeling like I am going to be sick. Charming, really!

Jackstini: Would it be better if your employer knew that you are pg before your next trip? Hope you are not going to be as sick as some of us are by then.

My first scan (viability/dating) is on August 9th and I am feeling nervous already... Silly, since it won't do me any good to be anxious.

Hope you are all well and enjoying a nice week-end.

Frizbe · 24/07/2005 20:10

DHW that's good news, glad all seems ok now!

Jackstini, nice! I guess your flying around will be curtailed a bit soon tho huh...do you get longer out there next time around?

Cadmum, yes I'm two timing and posting on both threads, but I'm not the only one!!

Munz, how's the ale going, is it working? or did JO do it for you?

Hi to eveyone else and welcome to coppertop! Hope your all having a great weekend, even if it appears to be a wet one now.....

majormoo · 24/07/2005 20:16

DHW-I had some browny discharge followed by pain with my DD in the early weeks, and everything was fine.

We had friends staying this weekend, and I think I managed to hide our secret by clinging to the same glass of wine for ages and then drinking water (which drunk friends assumed was white wine!!!).

We have told my sister, DH's brother and a couple of friends, but planning to keep it secret from everyone else for a while. Though my sister reckons I am already starting to get a bump-unfortunately I think it is probably just flab.

toothyboy · 24/07/2005 20:19

I also spent Thursday evening clinging to one glass of wine! It was my MIL 60th birthday and we all went out for a meal - lovely. I did drink a smidgen of champagne though - she would have really noticed something was up if I'd refused the champagne!!

munz · 24/07/2005 21:08

no friz - I didn't get around to JD today instead I watched CE

ahem anyhow!

how's everyoen feeling. ooh the ginger ale worked a treat thanks friz have bought 2 bottels just incase was dead impressed, also managed to only have one of my cream slices - I think teh other one will be eaten tomorrow thou! ooh I'm so naughty! lol.

jac- yes probably best to let your boss know u're PG just incase as it were.

I really don't know how u girls are managin not to drink when it's in front of u! we have dad's 50th b'day next week and the whole family's going, I was going to use the excuse that i'm the driver so I can't drink - althou yes they'd think it odd I didn't have at least a sip of wine. (best not thou as one sip and i'm well away!)

cadmum - hope all's well with your scan I'm sure everything will be fine, but u'll have to let us know how u go, hopefully they'll see a nice strong heart beat.

right then, i'm off to oggle CE again and have nice dreams about him! lol!

toothyboy · 24/07/2005 21:12

I actually find it quite easy not drinking when I'm pg - at the moment I just picture the baby (about 2cm or whatever) next to the size of a glass of wine and there you go - can't touch a drop! Different matter with champers - but that was in the name of keeping the secret!!
