Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

OP posts:

Thanks Frizbe... I generally agree about the weird dreams being a part of pregnancy. I just couldn't shake the feeling that something is wrong. Sorry for being all doom and gloom and thanks for the hug and the encouragement.

Cadmum · 16/07/2005 13:27

To be honest, I do still feel sick but my boobs hurt less and that seems odd since they only just started to hurt... OH the head-games I could play with myself here. Once again I am so grateful for MN. There is nobody else on earth that I could bore with this rubbish. Please bear with me. The insanity should subside in about 33 weeks (if all is still well) and then it will be overtaken by exhaustion!

munz · 16/07/2005 13:34

cadmum ((hugs)) it's probably just a few worries and nothing at all you should be too unduly concerned about. but ((hugs)) just the same. we all have day's like this so don't worry to much about it.

afternoon friz - how r u today? do u think the ginger ale's better than the busicuts then? was thinking of trying both for now thou it's just a nice peice of dry toast! -- how boring am I! lol.

had my choclate rasions (half the pack and now feel sick again althou this is cos i'm a pig and ate loads all together!) lol. Beef suet pudin for tea tonight and looking forward to it as I don't have to worry about the suet any more being fatty and blowing my diet!

Cadmum · 16/07/2005 13:40

Thanks Munz. Still feeling torn between being blue and over-reacting. I appreciate your kind words. good to know that you have had silly worries as well.

Assuming that I am sitll pregnant, I have my first 'long' ante-natal appt. (similar to booking in in UK, I think) on Wednesday (with the same crap GP cause I am a wimp...) and I will make it clear that I really NEED an early scan for the sake of my frail sanity.

Frizbe · 16/07/2005 17:27

Cadmum, I'm sure you are and still will be! we can discuss booking in apps together that day then, as I've got mine too! so dd's gona have to go to swimming lesson with Gran, which should be fun for the both of them Must say I highly recommend Aquababies classes, if you have any near any of you when your bubbas are born!

Munz, oooh Beef Suet Pudding, mmmmmmm can we swap teas please! We're having chilli chicken with potato gratin. Having a really good day today thanks, dd is starting to talk properly, and its making life soo much easier, we actually had a conversation earlier, all be it about jungle animals!
Must say I reckon the ginger ale is better than the bics for me, seems to work quicker, just keep sipping at it during the day, every time you feel a bit ick, and all seems to go away!

fishfinger · 16/07/2005 17:29

.

Chamomile · 16/07/2005 21:32

Hi everyone. I've been struggling a bit in the hot weather feeling clammy and faint but I'm feeling a lot better now it's cooler.
My sense of smell is really heightened. I dont remember this from before. Tonight I couldn't even eat prawn crackers for they smelt too fishy!

RosiePosie · 17/07/2005 08:48

I have a biscuit before I go to bed and a biscuit as soon as I wake up and that seems to get me through the night. I'm also nibbling on nuts and raisins, but I'm unsure about whether or not I should be eating peanuts - does anyone know? I'm feeling fat and wobbly already, because I've stopped doing my daily walk to my ds' preschool and back - I have SPD in pregnancy (pelvic problems) and so am trying to rest up as much as possible so as not to aggravate it too early on. Has anyone else suffered SPD before?

munz · 17/07/2005 10:16

morning all, well i've thoughrally managed to depress myself now - jumped on the scales last night and not a pound hevier nothing nada exactly the same as I was 6 weeks ago, I was hoping to have put at least a few pounds on my now even if it is all water! DH is telling me I should be happy and beanie's only 6MM anyways so it's not even that big, looked at my tummy last night in the mirror thou and er well it's started to sag over my kickers (not loads but u know) still it's all good I suppose.

how is everyone today?

marne did u get to the EPU?

Jackstini · 17/07/2005 10:16

Hi all - yes I have been out and about in the sun too. Big day today telling my parents (separately as they are divorced and both have new partners) will be first grandchild so hope they are both happy.

Was really worried about telling DH's brother & wife as they have been trying a while - plucked up the courage and turns out she is due 2 weeks before me and they had been panicking about telling us!!

Oneofeach - know what you mean about MacDs - HAD to have a fillet-o-fish on Friday. Ate it in about 3 seconds flat. mmmmmmm

Rosie Posie - have read (in a couple of the many books!) that peanuts are a no-no in case your baby has allergy and they are too small to cope with it? Not sure if true but steering clear in case

Desparate Housewife - glad you mentioned dishwasher, I have had no sicky feelings at all really until I started trying to sort laundry into colour piles on the hall floor - not a good idea!

I am also on the ginger ale - the fiery Jamaican variety with fresh lime squeezed in (I can always imagine it has the rum in too....!)

Boobs still sore too...

Am flying away for work tomorrow and not back til Thursday so hope everyone has a good few days and I will catch up then. Take care x

munz · 17/07/2005 10:19

cadmum - i['m sure u r still PG, althou am still tempted to tell u to move gp's.

Friz - ta for the ginger ale tip, I shall be getting some (althou will it give the game away in work?) the suet pud was lovely thanks (we actually only have a suet top but it was tovley all the same! chicken and mash today as DH's decided he doesn't want a roast dinner today.

cham - Is it just that particualr brand? I think some crackers are stronger than others arn't they.

munz · 17/07/2005 10:20

ooh jack - will be nice to go thru it with someone in RL - and u never know u mihgt both end up in labour at the same time!

desperatehousewife · 17/07/2005 11:25

hi everyone, glad everyone is ok-ish! How hot is it? Making me feel a bit sick. Didn't get to bed til 2am (very VERY unusual for me, I'm a strict 10.30pm girl!) as had a friend's 40th party. My 3 year old woke me up at 5.30am. That's 3.5hrs sleep - I feel horrendous today - DH says "Get used to it" aaaargh.

I'd actually forgotton just how vile those broken nights feel...and to imagine that I'm going to have weeks of them, and a 3 year old to look after, so no napping in the day when the baby is asleep.

I have to be honest, I'm having a right old panic today and thinking 'what the hell have i done?!'. Which I know is crazy, as we've all wanted to get preg so much, and i don't want to sound ungrateful - but just don't know how i'll cope!

munz · 17/07/2005 11:27

ie/ what can I teach a new born etc how will we cope money wise/emotionally. It's all part and parcel I think, and we learn to cope, i'm sure when the time come's we'll all manage just fine, doesn't mean we won't worry about it from now till then thou.

desperatehousewife · 17/07/2005 11:29

it's really just the tiredness I don't know how I'll cope with...

Cadmum · 17/07/2005 18:20

All is quiet here this afternoon... Hope you are all well.

I am trying to be less of a stess-case. Feeling dead-ill so that helps to reassure me.

madrush · 17/07/2005 19:50

Hi everyone, I've just found out that I'm pg and due 25th March. Feels funny to just be joining this thread with some of you on it for weeks already. I'm really excited, but anxious too as I had a m/c at 7weeks last time. Fortunately I already have gorgeous dd who is almost 2. Going to make a drs appt first thing tomorrow and see if I can get in to the early preg unit here to help calm my nerves.

Haven't been able to read all your posts so far, but hope to get to know you all better in the next few weeks.

munz · 17/07/2005 20:04

ooh hiya mad rush.

hope you get your apt for the EPU quickly, we're not v talkative on the w/e is all!

expressmummy · 17/07/2005 20:06

madrush · 17/07/2005 21:14

You're right about the heat, I can't decide whether I'm tired because of heat, pg or just too busy today (friends for lunch).

Oh well, back to work tomorrow in stuffy office with no air con. And I'll be too excited to do any actual work anyway.

and too impatient to just press post once oops

Cadmum · 17/07/2005 21:23

Welcome to the insanity, Madrush! You are in good company here as several of us are worried about having other miscarriages. Talk to you again shortly.

oneofeach · 17/07/2005 21:28

Hi Everyone and welcome to all the new posters. Yes I think everyone worries about m/c, especially in these first few weeks. I wish we could just fast forward to about 12 weeks when the risk is much smaller. I went to see the GP on Friday who was really lovely and congratulatory and made me feel very special. The m/w is supposed to be ringing me to the booking in at home hopefully. I don't want to tell DS and DD about it for ages - DD won't really understand (21 months) but DS (just turned 4) will be pestering me constantly asking when the baby will be here. I have at last been feeling really nauseous and I actually felt really happy about it!

Frizbe · 17/07/2005 21:35

Hi Madrush, welcome to the thread!

Cadmum, hope you feeling ok today?

Munz, I wouldn't worry about your belly hanging over your knickers! its gets lots worse from here on in and mine never quite went back from the last time and is looking a lot worse than yours now I can assure you!

Desperate housewife, don't panic! I'm sure it'll all be ok, I'm going with the theory that dd used to sleep a lot in the morning, and thus new buba should too, which means whilst dd is at nursery I may get a minute bit of sleep back? or am I just being far too optimistic as well?

Jackstini have a good few days away!
