So am I now the only one who hasn't had my baybee dildocam'd?

Ponymum I dunno, we also have a white glittery deer (two) but that's not so unseasonal is it?

cunty I'm not sure you're actually able to buy baubels not made in China these days.

I rode my horsey tonight and got absolutely pissed on - terrible terrible rain. I really think she's looking after me now, she's gone all dopey & docile and didn't even pull faces at the cow shed which was making Mooo type noises!

CurlyCasper · 08/12/2009 21:52

Mine was cammed but never dildo-cammed! dun frew da belly, it was

iggypiggy · 09/12/2009 09:18

ski I has had both on Monday - first bellycam then dildocam...

He said he only did dildocam cos he knows i like it to see clearer cos of the problems last time.

skihorse · 09/12/2009 09:29

iggy Did your husband watch dildocam? Would he like it more if it were a laydee doing it to you?

iggypiggy · 09/12/2009 09:32

yes - he watched didocam in that he was in the same room and watching the screen. He did say he got a bit 'what you doing to my wife' in his head for a fleeting moment... silly

givecarrotsachance · 09/12/2009 11:20

I got scan thru tummy which I was pleased about coz I'd not shaved my legs so didn't want to take my trousers off.

All absolutely fine [phew emoticon]. Bleed was from "bruise" on uterus, as they described it, prob from implantation, and I may get more light bleeding. Baby seems fine, good heartbeat. Measuring at 6+6 which is smaller than I expect, but they have a 5 day tolerance on that which takes it nicely within my calculations.

Burst into tears when she said all was ok which apparently is normal - if something is wrong most people just go really quiet.

What a relief Carrots!. So glad it was all ok. Did you get a photo of the ickle baybee to take home with you? Does LC know what momentous event is about to turn his world upside down? I got a horrible guilt moment last night thinking about how difficult it's going to be to go from a doted on first child to having a screaming newborn taking up all of your parents' time and attention .

It still hasn't really sunk in yet that I broke the butter dish (is that the correct usage? I missed that part of the thread!!). I must only be about 3 or 4 weeks and due around 22 August (I'm going to be a future champion of August babies!). It's been less than 3 years since I was last pregnant but I can't remember what you have to do now!

skihorse · 09/12/2009 12:24

rotts Let me get this straight, you're happy to get your foofoo out for a scanning but you don't want people to see stubble on your legs?

Twinkle Yes, the butter dish reference came from KimDeal when a particularly insensitive woman suggested that she had become pregnant by accident. Kim responded that dropping the butter dish was an accident, becoming accidentally pregnant in your 30s was just plain foolish.

I'm having a good day - symptoms seem to be departing a little which is slightly worrying but I am still getting those reassuring waves of nausea. I'm very unbloated today thank goodness and my belt is on its tightest hole, I was getting a bit stressed out about the whole weight thing.

givecarrotsachance · 09/12/2009 12:55

ski well I had the same concern when I went into A&E at the weekend (moral of the story being, shave your bloody legs, woman). In the end I was far more embarassed about the self-ironing scar still nice and vibrant on my tummy, which the lovely dog thought was from an operation, and the HUGE cut and bruise on my thigh from falling over in the bathroom the night before trying to avoid being weed on by a small, sleepy boy who refused to point his slightly-erect willy down into the toilet.

I think they thought I was being beaten up . Not that being beaten up is anything to grin about - just that I'm so bloody careless and accident prone that it's been thought before...

twinkle hurrah! You found us! So you already have a little twinkle then? How old? LC has just had a brother delivered to him courtesy of his father's girlfriend so that's going to be an experience. Father not phoned him since (getting on for a week now) . LC has already advised that he required two brothers and two sisters, so we have a way to go.

OH and also wanted to say, not twins, hurrah!

ski you'll be fine, it comes and goes as we all know, and good news about the belt.

skihorse · 09/12/2009 13:03

carrots "Lovely dog"? Did you go to A&E or a vet? Probably just thought you were a battered-wife, hence all the sympathy.

Ponymum · 09/12/2009 13:22

I am kind of glad I've not had dildocam. it all sounds a bit squeamish.

In keeping with the theme... I shaved my legs this morning! I think it's been about 2 months. But in my defence, I have been wearing trousers all the time. MrP is usually very tolerant of my grooming lapses but before he went away he actually recoiled in shock at the state of my legs. I don't think he realised that women's legs could look that hairy. So as he is back in a few hours I thought I better do the decent thing. Now I just need to do a bit of topiary work in the lady garden to tidy things up a bit there too. (Not that I'm expecting anything, I just don't want him to be more repulsed than he need be by my hairy, podgy beautifully feminine form.)

TwinkleToes76 · 09/12/2009 13:24

Carrots we have a two year old daughter, she is delightful but fiery and willful! At the moment I get enough sleep and nights out to enable me to remain a generally patient and reasonably good mother. Who knows what I'll be like when the next one comes - sleep deprivation almost killed me last time!

about LC's father, hope he hasn't noticed too much. LOL at wanting another 3 siblings though, poor you! Think number two will be my last! Re: no twins, hurrah for you! I have always thought I'd have them (I have several sets of identical ones in my family which is odd as they aren't hereditary) and always wanted them too until I had my daughter and realised what hard work one is on their own!

Ski hope your symptoms come back soon!

skihorse · 09/12/2009 13:25

Oh speaking of twins, I had a dream last night that at my scan there were 2 shapes on the monitor...

CurlyCasper · 09/12/2009 13:35

SFF has hereditary twins in each generation of his family. I always kind of thought it would be nice to get a ready-made family of four, but the more I read about knackering motherhood, the more I starting thinking "please, no!"

At our scan, after a while i said "Thank goodness there's just the one", to which the sonographer replied, "oh, I haven't checked that yet" Apparently my face was a picture as the blood drained away. But she rummaged around and only came up with a healthy ovary (for some reason she could not see them both ).

The baby we do have appeared so quickly on screen (as in, "it will take a minute for me to get my bearings" - minuscule pause - BANG - there it was), it would have been hard to believe there was another in there.

ski, I've warned you about dreaming... How do you feel about twins?
(SFF dreamt ours is a girl).

givecarrotsachance · 09/12/2009 13:48

Oh ski - dreams always come true

oh and dog doc. Duh.

twinkle awww, 2 is a lovely age. Mind you, LC is 5 and that's lovely, too. He was just adorable on Monday night when I felt like shit. I was 1/2 asleep on the sofa and he snuggled up with me, gave me his teddy, stroked me and sang me Christmas songs until I could take it no more was feeling better.

cassie apparently I'm the proud owner of two fine ovaries, which is nice.

poniez You've inspired me. My leg hair is about 2 feet long and takes a nice curl ITM. And I haven't tackled me pubes in about a year. I am a shameless shell of a woman. My child-to-be will be ashamed of me. My husband is probably relieved by the no-sex instruction coz of bleed .

For some reason, after getting diffed I decided to indulge in some de-fuzzing. I now wish I had not started, I have v sensitive skin and my pubic region now looks like it's been through some sort of horrific accident. And it feels horrible. I was praying they would not have to dildo cam me, for fear of revealing it and making them think I have some sort of disgusting disease (TMI?) So I shall be both hairy and tortured-looking for my first official ante-natal appointment. Lucky them!

givecarrotsachance · 09/12/2009 14:07

Oh waxing when diffed is BADD news. I remember getting totally de-gorillad when I was unknowingly diffed with LC and it was VV horrible (and I have V high pain tolerance). Waxing lady asked if I was due on and I said yes, 'course it happened that I came on, stopped, and hey presto had experienced my first implantion bleed.

Got to do some work, but for the first time this pregnancy I'm feeling right rare postive. I really, truly, honestly do have a little beating heart in my tummy! Fantastic.

Oh, and I've decided it's a girl. Boys just aren't this much trouble .

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 09/12/2009 14:15

Wax!? Never touched the stuff. This was a simple cream disaster. Never dared wax. I'm a sensitive redhead you know. And there's always something difficult about exposing ginger pubes . i actually want to find someone who does sugaring. But no-one is getting near me till it's all better anyway.

givecarrotsachance · 09/12/2009 14:38

Cream? Oooh I wouldn't dare try that kind of thing. Funny, eh :-) And, this is gonna sound weird, but ginger pubes would be lovely IMO. So there :-P

I did sugaring on myself. Hurt the same as waxing.

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 09/12/2009 18:11

Cream am SO allergic to that stuff... even the sensitive version... waxing is good tho.

TwinkleToes76 · 09/12/2009 20:09

I can't use cream either, gives me a nasty pink itchy rash. Do treat myself to a wax now and again when i have time and lots of cash but agree waxing in pregnancy is PAINFUL and is an experience I will not repeat. I have to admit that these days I am more often than not au naturel, out of laziness rather than feminist principal sadly!

skihorse · 10/12/2009 08:24

I find my bikini line easier than my eyebrows getting plucked. I have terribly sensitive skin on my face but you can drag mee around by my pubes no probs!

I did shave my legs at the weekend because they were getting a bit forresty. I suppose wee ought to take care of our legs whilst we're still in a position to be able to reach.

CurlyCasper · 10/12/2009 08:50

Last time I had my eyebrows waxed was a week before our wedding. She took half the skin away from just below one, and i was left with a big red welt. Savalon was my best friend that week - but I was horrified of the prospect of getting wed with a clown eye! I did have them threaded at one point, which worked but was weird. Thankfully mine are very pale so they're not too bad even when caterpillar size!

But I really can't find the solution for my bikini line - anything I do leaves me red and itchy. Might just resort to keeping it very short, without actually going near the follicles - and invest in a shorts-style maternity swimming cossie! Sounds like pregnancy is not the best time to have my first bikini wax!

LOL but wince at ski being dragged by pubes!

givecarrotsachance · 10/12/2009 10:16

I have the same problem with my bikini line. Looks ok for the first week, then I'm a mass of ingrowing hairs and pustules, which is nice.

I've resorted to a two-piece cossie with shorts at the bottom which covers most of it if I trim.
