devils hope you feel better soon, there's nothing worse than being ill when you've got a small baby.
princessmel try not to worry about the lump, it's very common to have random lumps and bumps whilst bf, it's probably just a milk duct. No harm in getting it checked out though if you're really worried.
Thrush symptoms are for baby as littlepea says, white coating on the tongue or white spots. For mum some indicators are deep tissue pain in the breast AFTER the feed, and change in the colour of the nipples (ie. bright pink)
boob I'm also a fan of tommy tippee breast pads, although I don't seem to be using that many this time.
ruby my ds had terrible milk spots, he look like a spotty teenager for weeks, never found anything that got rid of them, they just went on their own eventually.
ht poor you, mastitis is horrible, remember to do lots of breast massage during feeds. Also it's a good idea to try different positioning, dangle feeding (the one where you're on all fours seems to work quite well)Also I have been running breastfeeding clinics for almost 4 years now and I have never heard anyone say that they have too express before a feed as not to pass on much of the AB's. The doctor should have perscribed bf friendly AB's so you should be able to feed as normal. IMO any expressing and discarding will not help the mastitis (in fact will probably make matters worse as it will make you more engorged)
newbee congratulations
jellytoz If you are bf she won't be constipated so won't need any water, check with your HV. And definately go to your post-natal group, mine was a life saver when I had dd1 and I'm still really good friends with the mums I met there.
Well, I think that's everything! Amelie is 7 weeks today
