Idreamofbeanie I totally sympathise, I've had enough of waiting as well. A couple of ladies from my antenatal class have already had their babies - and I was the earliest due date there . Impatient, breathless and tired.. And I'm also getting the "Enjoy the peace/you won't know what tiredness is until you've had this baby etc etc." I've just about managed to stop snarling when I hear that one-most of the people that say it are aware that I was driving down to London at 2am and getting home at 10pm, 3x times a week for 2 whole years and was waaay beyond tired for most of that.
Are long walks supposed to help? I'll give it a go but my ankles seem to swell at the drop of a hat at the moment so can't go very far. Resurrected the exercise ball so will start bouncing on that and have hit the rasberry leaf tea/capsules.
sammysam meeting with caterer sounds v productive, did you get to do some tastings? I think you should-all in the name of research you understand . Glad it's not just my nausea/morning sickness and heartburn back although it feels a bit like a cruel joke at this late stage!
ruby good luck with the reflexology
KKKaty-re the carpal tunnel, try a wrist brace, your gp can prescribe one. I have to wear one intermittently (I used to do a lot of rock climbing and have broken both my wrists twice) and find them to be a big help at night. Its my right hand thats worse as well in this pg, I've had permanant pins and needles in my thumb for the last 5 weeks!
I think it was a thread on mumsnet I read where someone had a great comeback for the "Any news yet?" endless questions. Whoever it was got fed up and started saying "Yes, I can see the head" to anyone that asked. Think I might try that out on my mum tomorrow...
One last thing-a reminder to keep up with the pelvic floor exercises (because I keep forgetting) x
