JamesDavidsMum-Sorry to hear about your pg worries, glad all seems well now. Lots of get well soon viobes to your DS. I'm v envious of your range stove

Devils Ethiopian stew recipie is towards end of the last thread

Bella yay for your last day!

Didn't sleep well last night(stressing about not getting everything ready in time). Had same problem today as yesterday when I fall asleep on sofa-woken up by hammering from next door. Retired neighbour is lovely but very into his woodwork. He's clearly making something as he didn't stop hammering for 6 flaming hours yesterday-I could even hear it through headphones when I had the hypnobirthing cd on. Slept downstairs for part of last night and the hammering woke me up again this morning-he's still at it now. Went to bed (bedroom at front of house)only to find house opposite is having work done and there is a man weilding a pneumatic drill. I could cheerfully kill both of them at the moment, I'm not good when I don't get my sleep!

DH and I are decorating the bedroom tomorrow and I'll feel so much better when thats done. We're then going to put up the jungle stickers in the nursery which should be fun. Have a good weekend all x

PS-due on 30 Sept so updated stats list

Ooh, meant to say - I'm up to a 36H now too (oh the joy), from a pre-preggers 34DD. Got a twin pack of nursing bras in M&S for 25 quid. Seems to be a very limited choice out there in such mamoth proportions!

Can I recommend hot milk www.hotmilklingerie.co.nz/ bf bra's, they're a bit pricey but well worth it, (also would wait to purchase an expensive bf bra until your baby is about 6 weeks old, your size will have stablised by then.)

I have the 'Ruffle my Feathers' Cami and it's lovely.

dh and i are getting a take away tonight as a treat, i can't wait. i have heartburn just thinking about it tho!

i'm off to iron my nightie that i plan to labour in. don't think i've ever ironed a nightie before!

roll on the weekend - happy friday everyone

lixanismapolium · 18/09/2009 15:54

Just adding my date to the list ... it's starting to get exciting now! I so so so want my lo to come early, partly so that we can meet her at last and partly to get rid of all these pains! It sounds like quite a few of us are suffering - I didn't know SPD was so common. Also have carpel tunnel and a problem with my jaw that makes it keep clicking all night - so painful. 3 weeks to go ... bring it on!

Is anyone else having an absolute nightmare choosing a name? Started to get a bit stressed anout it now, but at least it gives me something to think about when I'm lying awake for hours at night!!!!

Already feeling slovenly by spending day watching tv, sleeping and (re)organising hospital bag, haha.
Baby has moved from ROA to LOA during the day, and in the process I think is pinching a nerve somewhere in my groin. My inner left thigh feel very painful to walk on...

You don't need to stop driving unless you think that you aren't safe to drive.

I never did go for a walk decided to sleep (20mins only) and open a box of chocolates from Hotel Chocolate they are delivered to my door once a month but I usually use them for gifts but decided that I needed them
I think they do a nice basket of goodies for new mums

I am feeling exhausted today and slightly under the weather.DC are being great and they are always so happy on a Friday.DH will be home with some sweeties shortly.

I managed to make them home made fish fingers and chips but have not achieved anything eles all day

BH picking up again, spd and piles lovely.I have been looking at lots of old photos and it does remind me how worth it all is.

boob thinking of you all. how are the other children ?

princessmel · 18/09/2009 17:59

Hi all
I was thinking we should have a new thread

theboob LOVELY photo's!!! So sweet and pink and squishy!! The cord exploding sounds shocking, glad it's all over and your home and feeding well.

Welcome newbees (and welcome back lurkers)

Sorry so many of you are suffering with spd. I have been quite sore this week too. Last night was especially painful.

I don't think there is an actual cut off point when you're not supposed to drive. I have always driven right up to the end. It is a bit harder to trun round and look behind now etc. If it's uncomfy and you can get by without driving then maybe stop untill baby is born. I need to be able to get out about!
Today, I wanted to go to get some pressies for 2 parties ds has this weekend, but just knew I was too too sore to go walking round shops. I took dd to the farm instead . The soft play though, so I sat and chatted to a friend while she played.

Recently loads of people have been saying how well/tanned I look. I have become quite freckly during the pregnancy! I suppose it's better than looking pale and ill

I have also heard that it's normal for 2nd and 3rd babies not to engage early like first babies. Last visit I had the baby was still not engaged.I am not worried about that.
I don't seem to be worried or impatient atall actually! Will be pleased when my pelvis isn't sore anymore that's for sure!

I am def going to be watching Strictly tonight, I love that show!

Things I am most looking forward to are feeding my baby, seeing all my 3 dc's together, pushing my pram (this is exciting as we didn't have a carry cot type pram before), showing baby off to all my friends and family!, being able to dress them and hold them. I love new baby necks!!

have added myself to the list. Really excited about there being more people on the Arrivals list soon.......

Had a lovely day today. DH took the day off and we went to visit a couple of nurseries, in readiness for when I go back to work (that doesn't seem so far off at the moment, but I bet it will seem like a lifetime away in a few weeks!) We thought it would be better to get it sorted before the baby arrives, so that we don't have to stress about it afterwards. Both places we saw were very nice (although I'm still and about the costs.......) but we struggled to think of questions to ask. The ratio of staff to children seemed good, and we looked up the Ofsted reports (which were satisfactory/good). We liked the way that the staff interacted with the children and there were lots of toys/activities etc. We're going to see another one next week, then register with our favourite and forget it about it for a while......

In between visits, we went out for a posh lunch at our favourite restaurant - something we think we won't be able to do so much in the next few months. It was lovely to just spend some couple time together.

He's popped off to John Lewis now (to take back the iCandy chassis, which doesn't fit the car seat adaptors properly. Grrrr) and I've baked some banana muffins. Not quite as healthy as the yummy looking Ethiopian stew, but I'm feeling at home on the new nesting thread .

No news on my baby yet. Don't think the head's engaged even, so expect it will still be a few weeks away. My mat leave is turning out to be more hectic than I expected - I've got engagements every day until next Saturday. Hoping that i might get a few days to myself after that.......

HC - I had the worst cold ever a few weeks ago, so I sympathise. Hope you feel better soon.

heylottie · 18/09/2009 20:34

Hello all
This seems to be the week for long time lurkers to add themselves to the group - room for one more? I added my name at that start then got shy... however my maternity leave started today, and I feel I can finally exhale!
I'll slowly catch up with everyones news and progress - in short this is my first pregnancy and it has been bloody hard with raging sciatica throughout.
Baby was breech but has now turned so am preparing myself for the big day. I have spent the whole pregnancy thinking I would have a c section so now I'm not I am trying to get my head round it!
Would be lovely to have some company in the next few weeks. Am 37 weeks tomorrow

All buiding work/wood work/ark building in the street seemed to stop at 2pm so had a lovely 5 hr nap. Thank God for Fridays!

37 weeks today! Hurrah! Had a work conference call at 2 am and another at 3.45, so feeling a bit dead to the world. Oh to be a first time mum and able to stay in bed this morning. Instead I have 4 yr old DD and the reception class guineau pig to look after - just mopped up the first wee on the couch of the morning lol

I have to drive over an hour to work and it is getting pretty uncomfortable, especially when there are feet tucked up inside my rib cage, so trying not to go into the office very much now.

Great photos theboob - can't believe how close we are all getting now.
