So the baby blues are back with an evil vengence, have spent the large part of this last week feeling horribly anxious and depressed, crying a lot and have completely lost my appetite No real reason for it all, Annalise is a lovely baby, even though she sounds like a wheezy old dog when she sleeps thereby depriving me of any sleep, but she's back over her birth weight and feeding well, but yet I end up in uncontrollable floods of tears, wishing I could just run away and hide. Hope hormones balance back again, and this doesn't turn into post-natal depression...
Anyway,
happytangerine glad to hear that the hypnobirthing worked for you, at least up to point. Try as I might I really couldn't breathe through the contractions (possibly as there was no build up just nearly full intensity from the start (and I wasn't induced either!)) so bravo you. I hope that next time we'll be both be able to breathe our babies out!
Happy belated birthday wishes HC and peaches! hope you both had fun!
Happy 'Birth' days to wibblydibs, smallone, KKKKaty, Sammysam, Sugarkane,
smallone so sorry to hear that birth was really hard for you, lots of hugs and kisses, many of us empathise enormously with the intensity of the experience. Let us know when you have the courage to post X
sammysam glad you had yours in the birthing pool, I was sooo keen on a home water birth, but when it came down to it, I was in the pool for about an hour but was no-where near as effective at pain relief as the birth ball (since midwives were only letting me have paracetamol!) good to hear another successful homebirth on the thread
good luck with the induction, idreamofbeanie doesn't have to end in a c-sec, so hope it goes smoothly for you
x
treats glad to hear little DD has bad some treatment and is settling better. How exactly did you get Lambeth to register her so fast, we have another week until our appointment! Or are you in Wandsworth? Anyway, great that things are looking better for you.
