fidelma ooh, sounds like you are on the way anyway. Things seems to be happening for lots of people now. wonder who will be first?

princessmel · 25/09/2009 15:43

Hi all

Ooh fidelma that soinds very promising

HT poor you with your asthma and trouble breathing and sleeping, I hope you get some relief.

tMI alert..
I am not sure whether something may be happening to me or not.
This morning I had some different coloured disharge on my pantyliner. Kind of (wall) plaster/cold tea coloured. But same consistency as normal dishcharge. Then I had some more at lunchtime.

I have also had a niggly feeling in my tummy all day.
And last night I had a few BH that actually hurt a bit. Not much, but more than usual.

I have just rang the midwife and first of all she said she thought it might be old blood or thrush. And if it carrys on to see the gp.
But when I told her it looked exactly like what I lose in the first few days of my period, she said she wanted me to keap an eye on it and call delivery suite. In case it's the start of blood loss.
She said it's because I am still considered as premature. Not 37 weeks till wednesday.

So I'll just wait and see...

Hope all you early labourers are ok. I wonder how DA is getting on?

Treats · 25/09/2009 16:25

Hi everyone. Have been trying to keep up with everyone's news, and it sounds like there's a few 'is it or isn't it?' labours starting. best wishes to everyone who's at the start of their labour and I hope you and your babies make it safely to the end without too much trauma. I've got my fingers crossed for everyone and can't wait to hear your news!

Nothing to report for me. think I'm beginning to get a few Braxton Hicks contractions, but just a tightening and nothing painful. Don't think that the baby can possibly be at all engaged yet - can't 'feel anything' in my pelvis. Which I suppose might mean that I'm still a few weeks away - or that it might engage suddenly just before I go into labour.

HumphreysCorner · 25/09/2009 16:39

I just feel uncomfortable and very tired. Hope we have some birth stories soon.

Ohmani · 25/09/2009 16:49

Gosh! These babies are keeping us all in suspense, it's so exciting to see who will be the first to announce the next arrival.
Good luck to you all!

Nothing happening for me, lot of pressure and discomfort round the pelvis area but nothing that resembles a contraction.

Kids back to school tomorrow after a weeks Eid holiday, and I need to go food shopping -joy!

Will wait with bated breath for any announcements over night.

Flamesparrow · 25/09/2009 17:03

Not been on in months I know.

Anyone got a list of the already popped?

I'm not due til 16th, but am already very impatient and want it out NOW. Not helped by midwife telling me it is 3/5 engaged and she can't see me making it to 40 weeks... now I have hopes up and frustration

It feels even lower today (the whole ball between legs feeling), and I am achy, but not contracty.

littlepea72 · 25/09/2009 17:22

Flame!! Welcome back, i was just wondering the other day about you, how have you been? Only theboob has had her baby so far, but it looks like there could be more over the weekend xx

Flamesparrow · 25/09/2009 17:32

I've been ok - depression came back nicely for a while, but I think we're now past that into just plain moody

I was expecting several early ones by now!!

KleineMaus · 25/09/2009 18:20

I also feel a lot of pressure very low down but have had nothing remotely resembling a contraction. Not even BH. Due on Sunday. Off to drop DS with granny and granda and then going for a curry. Wish me luck, it worked last time!

sammysam · 25/09/2009 19:32

Welcome back flame-glad you are feeling better now

Kleine-I'm due on sunday as well-feeling loads of pressure, lots of BH's and niggly period type pains. DD was a week late-wandering if I still have a week to go.....
Was your ds on time/late?

Made it through a very lovely lunch ate far too much! They brought a whole load of stuff-baby clothes, couple of things for dd and some LOVELY thick soft new towels for me to use post birth.....not that I will straight away being as they are cream-you can tell she hasn't had children!! Still was a very lovely thought and she did get cream because she remembered most of our towels are cream. Can't wait to use them!

Am hoping for a much better sleep tonight as after dd woke last night I was awake for 4 hours and the rest of the time every half hour or so I woke as I needed to turn over as my body was dead. I actually don't think it is too bad as at least i'm starting at a certain point of sleep deprivation so it should'nt be so much of a shock to the system when we have a newborn

I wonder if we have some more new arrivals........

HappyTangerine · 25/09/2009 21:12

Welcome back Flame! Glad you're feeling a bit better

Thanks littlepea saraheb and princessmel-managed to have a wee nap this afternoon

I think I've had a bit of a show tonight which was a pleasant surprise . DH left me an experimental stir fry he'd concocted this morning (with chorizo, hot chillies and ginger ). He warned me it was spicy but Good God, it took three glasses of water for me to feel my tongue again! Don't know if it was a coincidence but had what I presume was a small show about 2 hrs later(bit of a blob with pink streaks?). Not reading too much into it because I know things can take ages after that but good to know things could be moving in the right direction at last.

KleineMaus · 25/09/2009 22:12

Sammy ds was a week early, which makes me feel like I'm late already when I haven't even made it to my due date yet. Boo! Enjoyed my curry. Don't want to get my hopes up too much.

littlepea72 · 26/09/2009 00:07

Well done devils!!! Big baby boy....wonderful.

Lix, ive been like that all day, just thought i started really bad contractions, but it has turned out to be some of the worse wind ever...thank god the cat was in the room to blame ....sorry!

lixanismapolium · 26/09/2009 00:32

peachespaige · 26/09/2009 07:40

My goodness whats happened!
My PC is broken again so using dps.
theboob huge ongratulations
devils Amazing news!
Well done ladies!
For all of those having shows or contractions Im so excited for you all.
Both of my boys were a week early but Im not getting my hopes up.
Ill be 36 weeks on Monday.....so far behind you all,I fear I shall be left talking to myself on here.
The upside is that both boys are at full time school and nursery so the day is mine from 9.30 to 3.15 so actually the baby can stay put as I havent had this amount of time to myself for 5 years, its lovely having a quiet house!
My back is killing me, its the back of my pelvis really, it seizes up and is so sore, worse at night but otherwise I cant complain.
Everyone thinks this is another boy. I dont really mind Im just a bit fed up with blue! Id really like a change of colour, clothes, toys etc.
Well as you can tell lie ins are a thing of the past. Dp is downstairs with boys butI cant sleep.
Looking forward to more news.

jules888 · 26/09/2009 08:10

Congratulations devils hope you are well and thriving!

Hopefully I'll be joining you soon.

fidelma · 26/09/2009 08:29

Well done Devils I can't wait to hear all about it.

I have had period pains and lots of contractions throughout the night but not much at the moment.

We are off out with the children to collect conckers.Hopefully that may get me going a bit more.

Children had hot chocolate and shortbread for breakfast. (BAD BAD MOTHER)

I think I need to keep busy today.
