Congratulations LJ!! And welcome to Harry!

Mummyslady hope that you have some good news for us soon!

Gonnabe glad that LO started to move again! Really hoping that you get your HB.

Goodluck Blue!! Really excited for you and looking forward to your birth announcement! Good luck!

Ladystealth WHAT? Patrick Swayze has died?

FairySparkles · 15/09/2009 09:00

Morning everyone - just quickly popping in (have distracted dd with Mr Tumble for 10 mins so I can get on here!!)
Have had a quick look at the stats thread to see who's had more babies - Congratulations to all of you that have
Good luck Blue

Haven't had chance to read any other posts but I'll try get on again this evening for a proper catch up

Hope your all ok and not getting too impatient - I certainly am!! Lol

Minshu · 15/09/2009 09:11

Great news on the disco-dancing baby, Gonnab - these things (DCs) are sent to try us

It's going to be another one of those waiting for news days, isn't it? Good luck to blue and sos.

Thanks for setting up the post-natal thread, bexaa - can I still join if I have an October baby?? (I reckon 3rd Oct, DP reckons 27th Sept, due date 22nd - hope DP is closer).

Dreamt about my lady garden (or forest) last night Perhaps I should have an attempt to deal with it before going swimming this evening...

It is sad about Patrick Swayze - such a fighter through his horrendous illness.

Here is the link to the post natal thread for those who have popped although you have to keep us company here as well you know.

If you started out on this thread then of course you can still join the post natal thread if you go over to October. We have shared so much it would be a shame to lose anyone now!

Shame about Patrick Swayze and Keith Floyd.

Am sick of everytime I call someone or they call me they ask if there are any signs yet ffs I am not due till Saturday and with my track record I will be keeping the appointment with the hospital next week and be booking an induction!

TigerFeet · 15/09/2009 10:26

Good luck Blue and I hope SoS is cuddling her baby as I type.

StayFrosty I think the equinox is 21st, next Monday. Not long now

I've had an awful night's sleep, I woke at around 2ish with dull aches and pains, nothing productive but uncomfortable enough to stop me sleeping. Finally drifted off about an hour before the alarm clock went off . Never mind, dd is at school now so I'll probably get my head down for an hour or two in a bit.

Very sad about Keith Floyd and Patrick Swayze.

Minshu · 15/09/2009 10:28

Autumnal equinox is the 22nd this year, SF. Perhaps MiniFrosty will turn up on EDD? It would be truly astounding if MiniMinshu turned up then, too

My family, and DP's, are being quite sensitive about asking how I am, rather than for any "signs". SILs on both sides went overdue by 2 weeks, so they know not to push it.

Going by my lumpy tummy, baby's bum is substantially bigger than it was a week or so ago. Hope that doesn't mean her head is, too...

Wish I'd watched more of Keith meeting Keith last night, now, but Keith Allen looked like he was in danger of getting uncharacteristically sycophantic, so had to turn over.

Minshu · 15/09/2009 10:32

Crossed posts, TigerFeet. I've had a couple of nights like that, after boasting that I'd been sleeping so much better since finishing work! Hope you manage to catch up with your sleep - at least DD is back at school now.

Snowfalls108 · 15/09/2009 10:33

aw that's gutting about Patrick Swazye.

Good luck to those of you with movements.

Persuaded DH into a bit of a tumble last night, and my mucas plug went straight after!
Progress at last.

Nothing happenend since though.

BabyLady · 15/09/2009 10:40

Hi all, congrats to you LJ. Great weight!

Good luck to all those experiencing twinges

I am going to go visit the post natal thread but I will pop back in from time to time until we can all be together again on one thread

I've had to start putting the washing up bowl on the draining board to wash up, as I can't comfortably bend to reach it in the sink.

Reckon there will be more boys named in honour of Mr Swayze than Mr Floyd. No offence to anyone who likes the name Keith (have known several Keiths - all lovely men), but Mr Floyd wasn't that keen on it, himself... Far prefer Patrick, but then, I'm having a girl, so my opinion doesn't matter.

TrixieBelden · 15/09/2009 10:57

Welcome, little Harry! Hope SoS is doing well, and blue76 too.

Having been diagnosed with PEP (polymorphous eruptions of pregnancy, google at your own risk, it's vile-looking) I've been given some much stronger medication and am waiting for the hospital to tell me they have a bed free to I can be induced. I'm 40w5d, have had bloody show every day since my sweep five days ago, but the contractions I had last week have slowed right down. Delivery should resolve the PEP, which is more excruciating than I can describe. Have almost entirely forgotten there's a baby coming -- all I can think about is getting rid of this ITCHING!

Minshu · 15/09/2009 10:59

Oh - desperate symptom spotting coming up. Baby has had marked increase in hiccuping episodes over the last few days. Surely that must mean her diaphragm is shaping itself up for imminent breathing activity?? [hopeful emoticon]

Minshu · 15/09/2009 11:05

Poor TrixieB - sounds horrible! Fingers crossed for an imminent birth!

TigerFeet · 15/09/2009 11:07

Oh poor you TrixieBelden, I had that last time round but it came on after dd was born. It was the most horrendous itching I have ever experienced. It was all over my body apart from my face and it made me utterly, utterly miserable. You really do have my sympathy.

Glad it's not just me that's reading everything into every little twinge and movement

I notice the worktop marooning thing most when I'm washing up... I always end up with a wet bump because I have to lean over it and get all unbalanced and end up sloshing water everywhere.

My baby isn't hiccuping but she is pushing her legs out a lot.. I keep telling her that if she'd just bloody well come out then she could stretch her legs as much as she liked... but is she listening??... it would appear that she can be as resistant to being told what to do by Mum as her big sister can be at times

LadyStealthPolarBear · 15/09/2009 11:29

Trixie, hope they call soon, good luck.
Yes, this baby has been hiccuping lots too - never heard that it's a sign of labour though but I can hope
Well my fingers have swollen up too now, I am going to look like the michelin man by the time I finally give birth!

LadyStealthPolarBear · 15/09/2009 15:01

aargh well just had a checkup and apparently the baby is happy and relaxed where it is

Ds was 4 days overdue. By now I'd been having contractions for a day, and DS was born tomorrow evening (iyswim).
Lol at the den not being dark enough - I hate it when that happens!

Me too Stealth, other than dd was born early tomorrow morning (iyswim)

Feels like a real milestone. This pregnancy is now longer than my last one (probably)

I'd be sad too SF. I think it's a shitty thing to do tbh, to pass on something you've had from someone else, without checking with them first. We've been lent some stuff this time and I wouldn't dream of giving it away.

mummyhill · 15/09/2009 16:14

I think I would be upset too sf.
I have just been offered some baby stuff and the first thing I asked was do you want them back or can I pass them on to someone else when I have finished with them.
