Morning ladies
369 so sorry to hear about the light bleeding - how stressful for you . Is your scan on Friday? They're right to delay the scan, as the early scans can be inconclusive and I know women who've been given bad news only to go back 10-14 days later and be told everything's fine, but the waiting must be agonising. Really hope it's good news at your scan.
Minicooper lol at your doc saying well done - like you've won a race or something! The 12 week scan does feel like a looooong way off alright...
Wilkos and Tigresswoods I've also been so knackered...I actually had a nap in the toilets at work yesterday afternoon . Only about 10 mins but I just couldn't keep my eyes open! I feel OK in the morning so I'm trying to cram lots into the mornings so I can take it easier in the afternoons.
Dophus glad that it's now official and hope your scan date comes through soon. I struggled to quit smoking over the years we were ttc (I'd give up and be good for months and months and then have one...which would turn into two...and then three...) and finally only gave up a couple of weeks before starting IVF. I know your pain!
Josie welcome and congrats . I know what you mean about wanting more symptoms - I was exactly the same when I got my BFP! It helps to make it real...
Blueydragon congrats and welcome to you too . I was at you falling asleep on your fellow commuter!
TLC glad the shingles worry worked out but I know what you mean - reckon we'll all be worrying until we have our babas in our arms (and then we'll have a whole new set of worries ).
Donttry I'd totally not want my baby born on my birthday! Nothing wrong with that (and good for the baby too not to have to share their birthday with anyone!).
DrSkid was chuckling at you nearly blurting it out . It's hard to keep it in and when you do tell folks they'll all be trying to remember things that seem suspicious in hindsight! I had an extremely suspicious conversation with a guy at work who's wife had their baby last year at the hospital that was our top choice out of the three we could choose from...he's the only person I know who's got actual experience there and I decided there's no real way to work that into a conversation so I was rather obvious (like "so, how did you wife like the labour ward at the Whittington? And the midwives? And the antenatal care?" - super obvious ). But he's discreet and is one of those new dads who's evangelical about parenting so I know he'll be delighted when I do go public...he was really positive so we've decided to go with that hospital so phoned the GP's today to get the referral going [eek emoticon]. Sorry to hear you're still suffering so badly with the MS . I've had waves and lots of dry heaves and retching but no actually vomiting and am now fervently hoping it stays at that.
Becky great that DS1 is potty trained but you must be so knackered with three and with morning sickness too.
CAFW so sorry to hear about your ectopic scare . It must have been so scary. Really hope the blood test on Wed shows that the HCG is doubling xxx
Chubbymummy it's so hard waiting for an early scan, but you're right to hold off until the school year ends...the longer you wait the more they can see and therefore reassure you . That's interesting about the heartbeat...I've got a scan next week (at seven weeks) so will now be hoping the heart is beating at that rate!
Dalrymps I am totally horrified by your doctor's reaction! How bloody dare she react like that . And to say that you'll need an epistomy - what is she? A GP or an obstetician? Bloody rude and ignorant. I bet she had issues herself so assumes that everyone else will struggle too...Hope there are other doctors at the surgery that you can see instead.
Meita Glad the next test was nice and strong too - it's lovely and reassuring isn't it? I've also been waking up early - anywhere from 5am onwards - sometimes I can get back to sleep but sometimes I just have to get up and potter around until it's time to get ready for work. Glad to hear that temping has worked for you - I'm a big fan of it - but when it comes to temping in pregnancy there's no need to keep temping as your temp will stay nice and high overall but it may occassionally dip, which can just stress you out. So the general advice is to keep recording your temps for 18 days post ovulation but after that it's not really necessary and may just stress you out.
Sorry for the massive post but I can't get on here much during the day (and am too knackered at night!) so wanted to catch up on everyone's news. Not much going on with me, still knackered, some waves of gagging/retching, and the usual sore boobs & bloated (though prune juice has helped with the constipation [phew]). I also have a complete pizza face...awful...haven't had skin this bad since I was 13/14 (feel like I should get some clearasil or something and start singing the grange hill theme tune!).
