Biccy · 24/06/2009 18:37

starshaker I'm so sorry. Thoughts are with you. xx

alibobins · 24/06/2009 19:01

So sorry

timmette · 24/06/2009 19:04

Oh no starshaker I am so sorry.

I think it's way too early to be having this whole csection birth debate - especially as many on here haven't even gotten to 12 weeks yet.

Are any of my scan buddies nervous about there scans tomorrow?

coffeeicecream · 24/06/2009 19:16

Starshaker I am so very sorry for you to go through it again it must be too painful. hORRIBLE.

liny · 24/06/2009 19:28

Thinking of you starshaker, all my best wishes and very sad for you.

starshaker · 24/06/2009 19:32

I just feel numb. Seriously considering being steralised. I couldnt go through this again

alibobins · 24/06/2009 19:36

timmette I'm so nervous about scan in the morning haven't been able to eat any tea. So many irrational thoughts are flying through my head. I'll probably pass out lol

timmette · 24/06/2009 19:37

Hi alibobins yes I have to wait till late afternoon for mine - will ask the gynae to take blood pressure after scan however or I am sure it will be off the chart.

crumpette · 24/06/2009 19:49

starshaker so so so sorry to hear your news. If this is number 5, please don't give up but do ask to see a real specialist in the area who can hopefully pinpoint a cause and potentially find a way forward for you. There has to be one recurring reason for the pattern and I think usually after 3 they do everything they can to find out why and to help you. So sorry

timette my scan isn't til 6.25pm! Am terrified, as I haven't heard a heartbeat or seen any evidence of being pregnant--- I really do worry it's not there at all or that my fall recently where I had cramps etc afterwards has caused a problem that will only be revealed tomorrow.

Hope everyone is generally OK?

I have skived work today

I haven't caught up yet haven't been on in a week or so, but just to add to VB/CS debate- I had a VB with NO PAIN RELIEF, and I am glad that I did. Terrifying, yes, I screamed and begged them to do CS or shoot me--- but the pain disappears as soon as your baby is born, and there are not all the nasty risks attached with caesareans. IT's major surgery and you can get a horrible infection. If there is a medical reason then yes it's necessary- twins or placenta praevia or breech etc- but if not, then it's risky. VB is good, after the event, you will be glad. Anyway, don't think about it yet!!! Too early! lol

lilacpink · 24/06/2009 19:57

starshaker I'm so sorry for your news, and for others who have received similer news. Last Oct I wanted to change the world to still be pregnant, would have given so much to not have lost it, never thought I'd be fully happy again. Please don't make any decisions now - esp. not about trying again. Do whatever you need to do to survive & heal. I still go on MC site on here when I think about Oct (which is less over time). I hope you have support in RL too.

crumpette · 24/06/2009 19:57

Just read previous page- phew so much to read! Elective CS is more planned, you get epidural not a general, incision slower more precise etc etc. I think most people with twins have a CS lottie and it's generally the safest way to get your babies out, but I have known someone who wanted a VB and pushed for it and was allowed to give it a go (she had a CS in the end) but it all depends on how you feel and also the positioning of the babies, in some cases one can engage properly and be delivered and the other can follow.
Sorry I'm rambling now.. ooh I'm hungry....

starshaker · 24/06/2009 20:00

when i go for my D&C they are gonna do blood tests to try and find out whats happening

Feel bad posting about it here

lilacpink · 24/06/2009 20:03

starshaker sorry I missed the part that this has happened before, I hope you have serious help at the Hosp to identify why this has happened, and support in the future.

timmette · 24/06/2009 20:04

no that's fine starshaker but did they not offer these tests after the 3rd.

Hi crumpette am also very nervous.

crumpette · 24/06/2009 20:05

Don't feel bad, please. That's what this is for, right? Please don't censor yourself, and please tell us how you are. You're still one of us got that? I posted on here about my DD dying earlier this year when she was 14mths and I think it helped me.
It's just so bad for you that you are having to go through all of this again. Can they do chromosomal tests and full blood screens? I really think there will be an answer for you somewhere and a way forward for you. If they are useless then I know some very helpful people who could help you- just say if you need help finding somewhere else perhaps more specialised than your hospital. There will be a reason, likely a recurring reason, and you do have a right to know. So sorry.

starshaker · 24/06/2009 20:10

no never been offered before

skidoodle · 24/06/2009 20:11

So, so sorry starshaker

lilacpink · 24/06/2009 20:12

Oops cross-posted.

Good, the Hosp should take this seriously. You can post on here. The truth is most of us haven't had the 12 week scan yet, so we're potentially in a similar boat. Also, we want to know you'll be ok.

crumpette · 24/06/2009 20:13

timmette so nervous! aaah

crumpette · 24/06/2009 20:19

starshaker I just want to hug you!! I have a sort-of-friend who had recurring MCs and now has 2 little baby boys. They did tests after 3 MCs for her. Her mum also had a history of MC- I think it is standard practice to investigate because it not only helps you but helps them in identifying risk factors and conditions. I live right next to a large specialist fetal medicine unit and I know they research it there but it should really be in every hospital please ask and let me know what they say because you don't deserve to go through this again.

starshaker · 24/06/2009 20:28

Its just really shit.

bethoo · 24/06/2009 20:41

starshaker so so sorry, really was hoping all would be ok. make sure that something is done and dont give up. give yourself time to recover not only physically but emotionally.

kittykat765 · 24/06/2009 21:10

Oh starshaker. Nothing I can add to all the other comments on here, but I am so sorry to hear what you have and are going through.
