Hi ladies!

bigcar for you! The treatment you're getting leaves a lot to be desired... you'd think they'd treat you even better being a high risk patient grrrr as if you needed all the extra stress! Glad to hear LO is fine, though

silk it's absolutely reasonable to want to speak to your MW before making a decision re. HB. You're not wasting her time, that's what she's there for Hope you get the answers you're looking for in order to make the best decision for you Sorry to hear DD woke up so early (although he got to see her dad ), hope you get a better sleep tonight...

daisy great story behind your LO's name!! I completely understand you re. the friend front... I have very few friends here (friends friends, I mean), most of them are just acquaintances... It can be lonely sometimes, esp. when pg.

littleS great news on the uni front!!! Teaching would be great!! And the MA/PG possibilities sound brilliant as well!! I have no idea how big the baby is, the sonographers never seem to tell me, I guess it's because they've been worried she'd be on the smallish side rather than the big one Today I asked how big the head was and he said 31cm (circumference) but then he said that thing about the fluid and of course I forgot about the rest of the questions Anyway, both sonog and consultant said baby is measuring to date so I guess that means OK... (By the way, DH has just sent you an email )

effie I also want the sun back!! Please, ladies, tell me this was not all the summer we were going to get this year!!!

laura yay on placenta moving!!!

insy grrr at your MW not catching up on her appts!! You do have a replacement or sth of the sort to contact if you get worried about LO's movements, right?

hi ermin!!! mrsMC thinking of you! (((hug)))

Right, I waited for an energy efficiency inspector (sent by the letting agency due to some new regulations, bla) that was supposed to come between 12 and 6 and he never showed up... After my awful sleep last night I was falling asleep over the keyboard and was afraid of taking a nap and not listening to the door... Grrrr!!! I feel exhausted now... I hope that means I sleep the whole night! (insert hopeful emoticon)

The good news is that I only have the conclusion of the commentary left for tomorrow and that's it! (revision aside, of course)

Hope all Juners have a good rest tonight without too many trips to the loo, pelvic pain, heartburn etc

(((waves)))

insywinsyspider · 13/05/2009 21:53

I'm watching the forgotten children thing on channel 4 and blubbing at that - and its actually very positive - feeling quite selfish for having 3rd baby and not adopting

silk I'm 35 wks tomorrow, don't be put off by your MW, mine is ditsy and comes across as dismissive as she's seen it all before, sometimes I think they forget we're going through this for only the first or second time - I remember being v dismissed about my birth plan with a 'well of course you want a natural birth everyone puts that' so why include space for it on our preg notes???

bigcar sorry to hear you're having such a nightmare with hosp, you're right its only going to increase your stress levels!

daisy great you've got a name with such a special meaning - what is it??

on bedroom front I'm horny as and getting frustrated about bump getting in way, can't wait for baby to be here

MrsMcJnr · 13/05/2009 21:57

Hey ladies classic comment from my mother today "stop telling people you have 3-5 weeks to go, it's embarrassing, you clearly have days" If I had a euro for every time someone has said to me today that it must be soon I'd be treating myself to a pedicure I don't believe a word of it, people were saying the same to me at this stage with DS and I still had over 4 weeks of waiting to do! Feels like Christmas in the Mc household, MIL arrived with all my purchases and a million of her own I am totally overwhelmed and now too tired having looked at them all to put the fairy stickers up ... tomorrow!

Been thinking that I will need a nappy changing station in my bedroom as well as in baby's room as MIL will be in there for a while and also it is next door to DS's room so I suspect I'll want to stay at my end of the flat as much as possible so he doesn't get woken up. Any thoughts on this ladies?

MrsMcJnr · 13/05/2009 22:53

Insy ? Lyra and Lola are not that similar go for it! Interesting what you say about pg & toddler v toddler & baby, at the mo I worry about only having the one set of hands (and eyes!)

Ineedmore ? Sorry to hear DS is playing up. I?ve also heard that its harder being heavily pregnant with a toddler than having a newborn with a toddler but quite frankly I don?t believe it! My poor DS has been off sorts today, teeth I think No swelling in my fingers yet but in spite of that my rings won?t come off it?s one of the things I do worry about when I can?t sleep in the dead of night LOL at ?Operation get the baby out? that was me last time round, I told DH that it was his duty to provide me with the prostaglandin I needed and often I did read that it was best ingested via the stomach but talked myself out of that on the basis that surely a direct hit was actually better with DS I also had 2 pineapples a day after 38 weeks, and still can?t bare to eat it again!

Ermintrude ? my view exactly on the prostaglandin!

Tee ? I?m with you, an epidural scares me even more than any other part of labour. I?ve even put that in my birth plan, if things get messy, knock me out or give me a pudendal block but leave my spine alone!! I was woken up at 4am by some extremely vigorous baby movements, quite scared me actually.

Littlesarah ? LOL at your list, I hope your baby is listening to you! I do actually feel that mine could come now if she wants MIL is here, I have a nappy bin and I am 37 weeks tomorrow I like both sets of your names. I got a ?graze? as well as a 2nd degree tear last time. I am curious about the graze, ho do you get grazed?? I was quite upset in the night by baby?s antics and then my fears for her and asked DH for a cuddle, he told me this morning that he really liked the cuddle so am now wondering if he has been feeling a bit unloved too recently wow, how old is DD? I can?t believe they have to go through all this teething for them just to fall out again real vote of confidence in you from lecturer about teaching, well done you are you sure the fireman check is not a role play you have going with DH?

Effielou ? how mean of your bro to spoil name announcing for you 2 sleeps until you know your baby?s birthday my DH is also a boob man but knows that they are out of bounds and belong to the baby for a long while to come, he hates it!

Choccie ? hope your buggy is fine with your door and thanks for your thoughts on my DH also hoping tonight is a better night for you and that you all get some sleep!

Bunnymother ? hope the appointment went well. Sorry to hear about the bad sleep and the cramps. I didn?t have the cramps last pg but I am getting lots this time in spite of the milky drinks, tonic water and bananas! Thanks for your wise words on DH, I think now that he has been feeling left out we met a gorgeous little girl called Amelie today, the biggest brownest eyes and longest lashes ever! DS was very taken with her

Naat ? great news from the scan have you started packing yet for the move??

Silkcushion ? your DD sounds sweet

Great news Lauraloo

Bigcar ? go on, open the box!! glad the scan went well but really sorry to hear about even more shoddy treatment hang in there!

Daisy ? I?m with you on the irrational thoughts. Will try to get some time with DH soon.

bigcar · 14/05/2009 05:18

morning all

Up bright and early again Comfy just isn't something I seem to be able to manage at the moment.

daisy, no, not St Peters, we are right on the outer reaches of sw London. Lovely story behind your chosen name, brave lady to sail half way round the world with dcs in tow, can't have been easy, great love story! What a great idea for a gift for your dh, not seen anything like that before.

silk, I'll be 38 weeks on monday, so not long left now, just glad this isn't my first baby or I'd be totally in pieces rather than just totally off! I had dd2 at home and planned to have ds and dd3 at home (although it didn't work out that way) and can thoroughly recommend a hb, but it has to be something you are completely happy and reasonably relaxed about, precisely why you need to be able to talk it over with your midwife who knows your medical history, hope you can sort things out with her.

naat, depending on what measurements they gave you on your scan report, you may be able to work out an estimated weight yourself. On my notes it says Hadlock (BPD-HC-AC-FL), might be worth a google Hope you managed to catch up on that sleep, sounds like everythings moving in the right direction on the uni front!

MrsMcJnr, your mil sounds lovely, and to come bearing gifts too, hope that included some of your fave teabags! Glad things are less frosty with dh, can you get a bit of time alone together now mil has arrived and can babysit for you? I love pineapple and have eaten loads during the last few weeks of previous pregnancies, it didn't do anything for me as far as bringing on labour was concerned, just a good excuse to pig out on something yummy I can't have very much this time due to the gd

Thanks for all the kind thoughts ladies, much appreciated I find the whole hospital "experience" quite stressful. Depending on what time you get there you can queue up to 20 minutes just to get in the car park, with the spd, parking elsewhere and walking the last bit just isn't an option. The fun really starts when you gat to the antenatal dept, again I've waited up to 15 minutes just to get to the desk to book in on a few occasions. You then get to sit and wait on a nice hard chair, (twice I've been when there haven't been enough chairs and all the dhs/dps have had to stand) finally you get called to have your bp and wee tested and then back to the waiting room. Followed by another wait to see the midwife (usually a different one each time) who does all the usual checks, listens to the baby and has a poke and a prod and writes up your notes and sends you back to the waiting room again. Eventually you get called through to see the doctor, who inevitably will be one you haven't seen before and I'm pretty sure hasn't bothered to read notes and can't get you out quick enough and just really manages to tell you when you will be lucky enough to have to come back and go through this process all over again. And finally, back to that lovely long queue to book the next appointment. Oh and then of course you get back to the carpark to find you need a mortgage to get the car out! At best, they run about an hour late but I have waited over 2 hours before now. Again apologies for the rant, I just find the whole process quite ridiculous, so much for continuity of care And breathe.....

Here's hoping for some sun today, waves to all

Tee2072 · 14/05/2009 08:07

Morning ladies.

Well this is it, my last day at work! I am planning on doing a lot of web surfing while my replacement does my job!!

bigcar how annoying about your sonographer. And don't sweat the 8lbs thing. Scanning weights are notoriously inaccurate.

mrsmcJ I think I would have said to your mum 'sorry you're offended by my size, but I am not due for a few more weeks, get over it!!'

Hello everyone else. I'll try to catch up completely now that I'm off work!

8 more hours!!!!!!!!!!!!

mspotatochip · 14/05/2009 08:15

Bigcar are you at the royal surrey by any chance your antenatal experience sounds oddly familiar

LittleSarah · 14/05/2009 09:41

MrsMcJnr - Nice your dh said he loves cuddles, hopefully you guys can get a few more in now. Dd is five, starting school in August, tis madness I tell you, will be so cute when her teeth start going. I can't wait also to go out shopping over the summer for school clothes, bag, pencil case and stuff, I used to love that every summer.

But unlike you I am just not feeling ready, mentally or organisationally, for baby yet. Just need a few wee bits and uni to be OVER... no nappy bucket here! I did order my reusables though so they should be here by the end of the week which I am very pleased about. Have also found a nice (not to expensive) changing bag.

Naat - Your man is a lifesaver! Well done in getting your commentary nearly done, so nice to get work finished off isn't it? One more week for me... (Bloody repairmen, I hate that, don't get me started)

Tee - Yay on your last day of work! Are you planning on going back?

Bigcar - beautiful sunshine up North, has been all week... you've got to make the most of it in Scotland though, no doubt while you are all picnicking in the park in July I'll be hiding out in cafes waiting for the rain to stop.

All you lucky ladies with your home births at 37 weeks! I might have to complain to NHS Lothian... but then again we do get the firemen... anyway, I bet this one will end up being late anyway and I'll be wryly remembering all this early labour stress come week 41!

Daisy5 - Those books are fab, I am so getting one for dh's Christmas! Lol. I think I might do one for my mum too, she loves that kind of thing, thanks for the link!

Right, I am in uni so should be working really. Must at least get 45 mins in before class!

All is fine here, although poor dd getting a wee bit of exzma under her mouth, think I might take her to docs. She has always had a teeny bit of exzema (not as baby but as toddler) now and then on her arms, but so little it's just like a bit of dry skin really but I think if she is going to get it - even a little - on her face it might be worth getting some 'expert' help.

lauraloo09 · 14/05/2009 09:55

morning juners

Mum took a day off work today so taking her to a large shopping centre then off for lunch and then taking her to see Angels and Demons she loves those books so thought that would be a nice treat for her

tee on your last day of work, here's hoping it flies in for you x

littlesarah sorry to here about dd having exzma and it's quite nice here in the west of scotland this week has been great here's hoping DH will cut the grass today

mrsmcjnr glad things are a bit better with DH and hope you both can have some alone time now that MIL has arrived and lovely she brought stuff over for you

bigcar sorry didn't send my thoughts about your treatment yesterday I think thats terrible how they are treating you esp that you are classed as high risk x

To everyone i've missed i hope you are all well and have a lovely day
naat congrats on getting your commentary completed can you relax now or is that you getting ready for your move?

chocciedooby · 14/05/2009 10:10

Good Morning everyone

Miserable dull and rainy day here. Where has the sun gone????

I am starting to swell now. Ankles were up last night and have had to put my rings away. Sausage fingers...

Slept quite well last night (phew). Only took 2 trips to bathroom for a wee.

Have OB appt. this afternoon so MIL is collecting kids from school for the 1st time today. I get so anxious about things like this....I really need to learn to relax a bit more.

Enjoy your last day at work Tee. Mrsmc glad you had a nice cuddle with dh.

Bigcar that hospital experience sounds awful. Fingers crossed I don't have to wait that long today. I am going private but can still wait for up to 2 hours if OB gets called away on a delivery. So far I have been really lucky with my appts. though.

Hi Naat, Littlesarah, Insy and everyone else.

Is anyone getting really itchy abdomens? My legs have also been itching quite a bit. Going to mention it to OB later today.

Naat · 14/05/2009 10:50

Morning Juners!

Choccie good luck on your appt today, hope you don't have to wait at all! Yes, itchy bump and itchy legs and arms sometimes It's not constant but quite odd
MIserable day here as well... enjoy the sun littleS and laura over there in Scotland, we're not getting any these days

laura I hope you have a great day out with your mum, your plan sounds like a nice gift for her Yes, commentary will be done today if everything goes OK

littleS I hope DH is not driving you insane... I warned him! He gets so excited with this stuff I told him not to drive you crazy and start changing things! Let me know if he's not behaving Only one more week of work for you!!! (uni + research I mean) I'm also not ready mentally and organisation-wise for LO yet, I really need these 2 weeks (praying for it!). Sorry to hear your DD has a bit of exzema, I agree, have her seen by a doc so as to get rid of it soon.

tee it's only a few hours now!!! Freedom for tee!!! I agree, surf the web and let your replacement "feel the water"

bigcar thanks for that! I saw a lot of charts but never thought I'd be able to work them out myself I'll have a look! Really, your hospital is just I know sometimes you have to wait, we've all been there, but seriously? going in and out 5 times??? It's not long now, fortunately, hon But vent away as many times as you want

MrsMc so glad to hear about the cuddle I guess you've both been going through the same feelings... Hope things only get better from now on Glad to hear your MIL is there ready for the action . I'd suggest you and DH go out for a "last meal pre-LO" and get her to babysit Yep, packing started last weekend, it's only two weeks away! I'm soooo glad, though, really looking forward to moving (I'm mad, I know)

HI Insy Ineed effie and the rest of the juners!

Right, of course the nice inspector came this morning... I was awake from 4 to 5ish last night so when DH left for work I decided to go back to bed for a bit, only to be woken up by the letting agency telling me the inspector was coming in 30 min Oh well...

I'm with bigcar, comfy is just something that doesn't exist here these days... You'd think nature would let us have the last few nights in peace but no

Hopefully I'll finish the conclusion today and then tomorrow I'll just revise the whole thing and leave the general revision for the wkend while DH plays golf with a friend and that's it!!

Oh, my mum sent me an email last night saying she can come whenever I want before the move (she was sort of limited by the research before but it has been postponed until the end of June now) so it seems like she'll be here bank holiday Monday. That's not long now, is it? She's now in the States with my dad, they made the trip to celebrate their 31st wedding anniversary, and told me she's buying lots of things for the baby

Right, work work work now Have a lovely day Juners!!!

(((waves)))

bigcar · 14/05/2009 10:54

mspotatochip, no, St Heliers (sshhh though, I'm trying not to put anyone else off ) I've always had my care mainly through the community midwives before and couldn't think of anything bad to say about them, apart from the fact they are always so rushed but that's not their fault! Sorry to hear you had a similar experience, it gives you no confidence does it?!

littlesarah, how exciting, big girl school Dd3 is starting nursery the 2nd week back after half term (was supposed to be this half term but never mind!) going to buy her uniform was really exciting, although hard because she is so small. Doing it all the first time is really special, hope you both enjoy it If it's anything like last summer, we'll all be hiding from the rain. At least it's dry here at the moment! Hope the exzema clears up soon for your dd!

laura, hope you both have a lovely day out, sounds great

tee, yay for the last day

choccie, yes, itchy legs, belly and hands, for me it's where everything is swelling and the skin has got really tight and dry, moisturiser helps a bit but not a huge amount Definitely mention it at your appointment later as there are other things that cause itching but anything sinister usually involves itching all over. Hope your appointment goes well with minimal hanging around I'm sure your mil will be fine, my dd2 and ds would be so excited if nanny went to collect them from school, hope your dcs will be too!

Effielou · 14/05/2009 11:20

Hi Juners.

Just did a quick read-- will hae a better read later!

I think I mislead you Its only been 3 times that the "deed" has been done-since we found out we were pg- Much to DHs frustration- but he's doing well bless him!! I would like too but the SPD is just not sending thr right signals!! he just said he can't wait to get me drunk and get back to normal!! ( I'm more at ease with myself wth a few bevvies ) But with bf -it migh be a while for that one!!! He says its not fair, as he finds me and my shape stunning bless him!!

He took a "sicky" today hes very rarley sick but just needed a day off bad boy so when we drop Flynn of to pre-school- hes taking me for lunch a very rare occasion, as we usually have the kids in toe- so luxury and we pressie hunting for Imogens b'day next week--oh perhaps a couple of things for squiggle!!

I think I may pretend for a HB-- if firemen come!!!

ONE MORE SLEEP TIL I FOUND OUT THE DATE OF BIRTH OF SQUIGGLE-- YIPPEE!!!!!!!!

Chat later xxxxx Have a good day xx

MrsMcJnr · 14/05/2009 14:05

Bigcar ? hospital stress sounds awful, poor you Mil has 4 friends here this week (they are staying in an apartment) but next week when they have gone and she comes to us DH and I might get some time alone

Tee ? yay! Almost a lady of leisure!!

Littlesarah ? 5 wow so young to lose teeth! I know what you mean, I love buying stationery, even now I can see you still have a few things you want to have got done before your baby arrives, and then you?ll feel ready!

Lauraloo ? have a lovely day with your Mum

Choccie ? hope all goes well at your appointment

Hey Naat ? sounds like lots of good progress with you

Effielou ? enjoy DH?s duvet day

chocciedooby · 14/05/2009 17:43

Took ages to get on to MN. Must have been a technical problem or something for a while.

Appt. went well today. All ok. BP fine.
Had my Strep B swab. Wasn't expecting OB to take it today so was taken a bit by surprise. Had not fully prepared my "Lady garden" but hey ho. It's done now. He used a long cotton bud type thing and it was over in seconds but I was a little sore afterwards. Maybe it was because he had removed some cob webs from down there! .

Baby weighs about 6lbs 6ozs right now so I am expected to have at least an 8lber!

bigcar · 14/05/2009 18:14

choccie, me too, gave up trying to get on in the end, thought maybe someone was trying to tell me I spent too much time on here Glad your appointment went well, think I'd prefer not to have any warning about a swab! Hope the pain eases soon.

effie, hope your dh is feeling better Tomorrow's the day then, how exciting! It's my ds birthday next tuesday, he'll be 9, at the moment he wants me to take him to the park with his friends to play football and rugby think he might have to wait if that's really what he wants, I wouldn't even manage the walk to the park, let alone the running around!

One of the mums at school today told me I was blooming and had lovely rosey cheeks, didn't like to tell her I was having a bit of a hot flush At least it didn't rain, usually it waits until about 3.15 and then absolutely chucks it down

bigcar · 14/05/2009 18:36

naat found a link on another thread here, doesn't give you an estimated weight but gives averages for a lot of measurements.

daisy5 · 14/05/2009 18:38

ermintrude - yeh, you had to click on Feb 09 and then turn the pages using the >>. I have seen a few books but that one really touched me....so beautifully done. Thanks for the info on perineal massage. I might give it a go although I suspect I will get bored quite quickly.

naat - yes, it is the close friends who've known you through thick and thin that you kind of need at times like this, when I'm a chubby, unattractive, blob, who forgets everyone's names, forgets lots of things, struggles to string a sentence together, has constant headaches, is tired and looks quite grumpy. You need the friends who just laugh when they see you looking like that and give you a big hug.

mrsmcjnr - People tell me the same, that it must be a big baby or come soon and that I look 'term' but then the midwife checked my fundal height today and it's showing 3.5kg now with likely 4kg (9lb) baby which seems quite normal for my stage given it is my second. Glad to hear MIL may be able to give you two some 'space'.

littlesarah - glad you like it. Jessops do them too, different software and slightly different books, but I was very happy with Bob's Books. I'm glad you liked it. It truly was the best present ever. DP cried and he isn't someone to cry.

effie - I would be excited too if I was you.

insy - I wish I was horny but only rarely have the urge. I get quite worried that our love life has taken such a bad turn. It wasn't nearly so 'lean' last time. But already having a dd doesn't give us much time to 'develop' the urge.

bigcar - oh, I think I now which one you mean. I've not heard a thing about that hospital. My current hospital (in the north west) is supposed to be good until you give birth, but then apparently the midwives simply vanish into thin air. It is reassuring that they focus staff on the birth, but I wonder if I can really get out in 6 hours if they are thin on the ground!!

Well, today I am officially FULL TERM. 37 weeks. I cried with relief that I had made it to this point after a mc at 12 weeks last year and at least one suspected chemical pregnancy, at the age of 42, and having spent the last 18 months either suspecting I was pregnant, getting over a miscarriage or being pregnant - I am sure I will erupt into tears when little Fraser (that is our chosen name insy) is born.

Midwife appointment this morning. After 2 months of Fraser being in the perfect position, and even being 4/5th engaged at 35 weeks, his head has now popped out and is 'free' and his spine is up against my spine. I had noticed the kicking patterns changing for the first time in ages. The midwife suggested I sleep on my left side.

Hospital bag almost all packed now

I've just looked through DP's diary and it appears the best time to give birth, to ensure we aren't interrupted too much from his work is Friday 29th May at 7pm. What are the chances heh?

oh, someone took a quick piccie of My Bump in the studio. If my link doesn'st work just click on my name and go to Daisy's photos.

Naat · 14/05/2009 19:12

Hi ladies!

daisy gorgeous bump!! 37wks today!! Fingers crossed for LO to arrive at that date and time If you can, do a bit of polar bear position every day now so that LO gets out of the OP position Oh yes, you said it so perfectly re.friends... Here when I meet my "friends" (they're married but "childless") I feel I have to sort of measure my "baby-talk" as I'm afraid of either boring them as they don't look excited at all, IYKWIM. So, most times I just update them about the basics and just shut up but the feeling of you not being able to share properly is there... And, as you say, we feel so vulnerable, so grumpy sometimes for no reason... and you need those big hugs...

bigcar Thanks! I'll look at that link now. LOL at the school mum... lovely that she said you were blooming, though It doesn't matter if it was a hot flush, hon

choccie great to know appt went well and that LO is fine. Did you ask about the itchiness? at your doc not giving you a tiny little notice before the swab! Hope it's not sore anymore...

effie hope you enjoyed your day with DH! Only a few hours to know when squiggle is coming!!!

Right, over here I'm glad to report the commentary is done!!! Tomorrow I'll revise it, gather the whole thing and leave it ready for August, when I'll have a look at it again before submitting it. Such a burden off my shoulders, Juners!! I was feeling so down about not being able to do it before LO's arrival...

(((waves)))

Naat · 14/05/2009 19:15

Oh, daisy, DH took a (nude) pic of the bump the other day in B/W but I was to show it to you all!! You're a professional!!! and this was a home-made thing!!! I'll see if I gather courage and upload it

silkcushion · 14/05/2009 19:34

Daisy I can't see your picture I'm afraid.

Choccie - @ cobwebs. I think my lo will come out covered in dust

bunnymother · 14/05/2009 19:47

Evening Juners!

DH is off playing soccer and I need a rest before doing more chores. Bloody insomnia had me awake between 2 and 6am this morning. You can imagine my mood this morning - I was petulance itself. Poor DH... Am sure I will get all muddled up, but here's an attempt at responding to all of your chat!

MrsMcJnr - so happy to hear you and your DH are enjoying some nice romantic time again. Hoping there's more coming your way :O) I love pineapple and ate some the other day, with zero effect. Maybe I just need to eat lots, and more often . Thanks for kind words re Amelie. Haven't told DH, but am starting to really think about that name. Even watching the movie tonight while he is playing football...

LOL at suggestion that really what we need to do to bring on labour is to give oral sex! I have to take my hat off to the man who got that idea circulating!

Tee - congratulations on your last day at work! Freedom starts now!

Bigcar - what terrible care you are receiving , don't blame you for ranting!! Vent away, I think we all appreciate how rubbish this must be for you.

ermintrude - how lovely to tell me I am a natural - thank you! Really kind of you! Between you and I, I felt a bit emotional after he went to sleep (err, slight tear) as so relieved. Didn't realise how much I am hoping to be "good" at handling babies!

Naat - isn't that just typical that the inspector arrives not when scheduled, but when the planets have aligned allowing you to sleep . Our postman can also sense when I am asleep, and brings packages that need signing for at that time

Insy - am chuckling at you being so horny (but in a sympathetic way). I can't watch anything emotional. Even rubbish, obviously cheesy programs have has me in tears.

Efie - wonderful that your DH telling you that he finds you so stunning . Bet you had a fantastic day

Is anyone completely aligned w their DP/DH re sex drive? My DH seems to find me even more attractive pregnant (I am genuinely baffled) so the love continues, but my God I am a sight. Not to mention the logistics...

LittleSarah - wonderful news re potential to teach at your Uni - you must be thrilled to hear that!

Daisy - that Bob Book is gorgeous, what a wonderful present! No wonder your DP was so touched. Its got me thinking of something for DH, which I know he would just love. Your bump looks beautiful, by the way, and am so happy for you that you're full term after such a journey!!

choccie - my rings have been discarded, too, due to frankfurters instead of fingers. And I get an itchy stomach sometimes, too. Seems to depend on what I wear (range of clothes I can fit into is narrowing rapidly, by the way)

Laura - hope you had a great time w your mum

My appointment went really well - baby measuring the right size, BP and sugars all good, and am no longer anaemic (not sure how, given lacksadaisical approach to iron supplements, but not questioning it). Have put on 18kgs [gobsmacked emoticon] and MW told me that's fine/normal . My God, am I going to have a time of it losing this weight!! Also, baby has engaged so am on the way. I can't believe we are all going to be having our babies very soon. Perhaps one of us in the next week or so - how exciting (slash terrifying..)!

Hope all you lovely Juners have lovely evenings ahead of you! ((waves))

Well that's me done with work! Got nothing from my coworkers, not even a card. Not surprised, but very hurt. One boss didn't even say good bye or good luck, just dashed off to a meeting. And they wonder why morale is in the toilet around there.

Hi all,

Tee- that's awful what absolute knobs they are.. Jusy think ha ha ha you're well away from them for 9 months!!!

Daisy - I can't see your pic either, the room ones are there but nothing new.

MrsMc- Glad to hear relations are thawing, and hopefully you'll get out next week for some couple time.

All of you managing to embark on any kind of amoroius encounters I am very and the sheer logistics of it all now, with sleep being awful the dd's waking early and dh not wanting to hit the baby on the head, means we haven't done anything for a V long time although dh still comes to give me a kiss and a cuddle good night (he stays up watching crap TV).

We have had pretty good weather for the past week and the predicted deluge of rain has just not happened ( It was cloudy with a few spots at lunchtime) so I keep waiting for the heavens to open but nothing yet.

Naat- must be the day for unannouced visits our plasterer turned up at 0800 (non pre-school day so no-one apart from dh dressed) to say I'm here to crack on with the garage, "oh oh right says I....." running round like a headless chicken trying to getting into something slightly less revealing. Oh and well done you!!!

Bigcar- really sorry to heare about you crap care, hope things improve on the big day( maybe that's where they are focusing their resources

Doris - your little girl does sound adorable, though, how gorgeous to be able to pack the bags together.

Silk - your little girl also made me smile, esp since you couldn't understand what she said - so funny!

Tee - sorry to hear your farewell was so mismanaged. As Doris said, you are well rid of for many months to come

God, now for the vacuum cleaning... [hates it emoticon]
