I can deal with the sickness and eating, (getting used to it now, made a lovely shepards pie last night and then decided na i'll have a sandwich!) but i am really getting annoyed at my sleeping. Was looking forward to having a good night sleep last night and i was waking and sleeping, I woke up one round to find myself routing through my sock drawer and brough a pair of socks to bed and cuddled them!!! (what is going on!) the i woke to use the loo! and the i woke and i was starving!
THE JOYS

george32 · 19/05/2005 10:08

MINNIE1 · 19/05/2005 10:40

ebbie22,
Is the pain still as bad?

ebbie22 · 19/05/2005 10:44

Yeah unfortantly,it does come and go but is worse at 3pm and then nearly unbearable from 7 onwards...
Have got to clean the house etc,no peace for the wicked eh xx

MINNIE1 · 19/05/2005 10:48

èbbie
You poor thing, Could you get a 2nd opion or go to your local maternity unit? Have you had a scan?

dramaqueen72 · 19/05/2005 12:03

george, glad they fit and you can now relax
ebbie, the more you describe it the more i think digestive kind of pain, esp afternoon/evening time, is there anything that relieves it? hot shower on it? fizzy drink/burping? hot water bottle? i think if its still hurting you should call up epu -in tears- nad ask for second oppinion.
I am only eating 'real' food. no sweets or anything iwth 'flavours' - salad, fruit, brown bread, cereal, more fruit, and whilst this sounds like some great health kick, its actually all i'm craving. cant bear 'fake' smells or tastes right now iykwim. strawberry icecream tastes disappointing, strawberries taste fab.....
I am thinking GIRL again for me this time round, anyone else got an inkling? not a 'want' but a gut feeling.

expatinscotland · 19/05/2005 12:06

sipping fizzy water here. felt sooo rough all evening last night. nibbling contantly is a huge help. have just scoffed some roast chicken.

MINNIE1 · 19/05/2005 12:20

dramaqueen72,
I have a feeling its a boy! but a boy girl i dont mind as i wanted this sooooo much. Would it be a bad thing to find out??

LunarSea · 19/05/2005 12:30

I reckon boy again. dh has one brother, no sisters. His father had 4 brothers, no sisters. His grandfather 8 brothers (I think - lots anyway) and no sisters. If I have a girl MIL and FIL will want to know who the father is!

Nemo1977 · 19/05/2005 12:39

i think boy again dont know why think cos some stuff is soo similair to with ds. But i dont mind cos if we have a girl dh has said thats it but if i have a boy then i get another go..lol so either way im happy

MINNIE1 · 19/05/2005 12:41

Would anyone find out?

george32 · 19/05/2005 12:42

I'm always complaining about there being too many boys in the house (2DSS are here at wk ends plus DP) so I have a hunch its going to be a boy.
Would love a girl , the house is crying out for something pink!!

Just eating a halloumi sandwich and it's just dawned on me that I don't know if I'm allowed to eat it - anyone know? Then again, the more I eat of it, the more I'm going off it so perhaps if I just steer clear.

george32 · 19/05/2005 12:43

I don't want to spoil the surprise by finding out earlier.

Nemo1977 · 19/05/2005 12:45

we will find out cos we found out with ds and it made him more real so we could bond.

expatinscotland · 19/05/2005 12:46

not finding out. it's the policy not to tell here and i can't be bothered stumping up for another private scan unless necessary.

Nemo1977 · 19/05/2005 12:47

can we eat fresh cream..like in store sundaes..in tescos the other day they had this fab looking banana boat and ive been craving it since..mmmmmmmmm

scully · 19/05/2005 13:14

not sure about processed cream but I think I saw somewhere that halloumi is ok.
we aren't going to find out either. really liked having a surprise last time.
feeling really rough today, very hard to look normal at work and function with any usefulness
almost friday though

beckymumof3 · 19/05/2005 14:08

We are going to try to find out this time - have asked before but policy at one hospital was 'no' and then with our 3rd the cord was between his legs so we couldn't see (little mite). You never know we might actually find out this time

Personally whether its your 1st or your 3rd I find the whole thing of having a new baby a big enough surprise as it is! I don't think knowing the sex in advance would make any difference to our feelings on the day.

Foodwise I am the same, just grazing all day. I've gone off most fresh veg (!) and chocolate too. I just want to snack constantly - just had a few lovely baby beetroots! yum.

No instinctive feelings about the sex either - having had very strong feelings the wrong way for both no.1 & 2 i've given up now.
