Good morning people. I'm shattered even though only dd woke and that was once. I kept getting cramp though, it was horrendous and I ended up watchign tv for hours in night so I could be awake and preempt it.

Kalikaroo · 12/04/2009 09:55

Poor you Bronze - sounds like you had a rough night of it .

Have you got any chocolate eggs to eat for breakfast to cheer yourself up with?

brettgirl2 · 12/04/2009 10:18

So ladies ahat do you think?

I am annoyed with DH, because I feel it is his fault that it's my due date and no baby yet. Despite my bizarre ramblings he is smiling stoically and getting me cups of tea, easter egg, helping with nesting and generally being lovely.

However, he now wants me to get out of bed so we can go for a nice stroll somewhere. I'm looking forward to Tuesday when he's back at work so I can have some peace to wallow in my own self pity. AIBU? Or perhaps, am I going INSANE?

brettgirl2 · 12/04/2009 10:19

I'm not even overdue yet!!!!

Schulte · 12/04/2009 10:27

Aaaah Springy your birth story actually made me cry. Well done you. Well maybe I should give G&A a try this time if it's so much fun!

Bronze sorry to hear about your bad night it's not right is it, you should be able to have some lovely sleep before LO arrives!

Kali, great news about the show, you go girl!

Schulte · 12/04/2009 10:28

Brett - sorry but I think in this case you're being just a LITTLE unreasonable A nice walk might help things along Good luck x

brettgirl2 · 12/04/2009 10:40

Hahaha - you think? really? I'll go and have a shower I think

conkertree · 12/04/2009 10:50

congratulations to springy and rachel - will read the birth story later springy but great that the babies are here.

Juw - hope you make some more progress today. Well done for not being totally out of your tree with frustration.

Brettgirl - I know what you mean about signing up for 40 weeks - remember it being such an anticlimax to get to 1st august last time - it had been such a big date for the whole 9 months, and then - nothing. It will come though - promise.

Hope all the babies are doing well, and all the rest of us - it really isnt long to go now - lots of chocolate to be eaten for the next few days and some more babies surely in the next few days.

Happy Easter.

surprisenumber3 · 12/04/2009 11:25

morning all and happy Easter

Well I managed to get to sleep eventually last night and then woke at 3.30 with a really painful contraction ripping through me, my moaning woke DH. Paced around for a while and had about 3 more before falling asleep and being woken up by the next massive pain at 7.30! baby sticking pins in cervix since and regular tightenings but not as bad as last night. So no progress here really!

How are you doing Kitty?

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 12/04/2009 12:03

Hey Surprise! I'm about the same as you - lots of pins in the cervix, lots of backache, lots of achiness but no real pattern to them at all... it's darn annoying! I'm quite ready to go into labour now, thank you very much, because the thought of three more weeks like this are sooooo depressing...

Off to read Springy's birth story while bouncing on my ball...

soon2befamilyof4 · 12/04/2009 12:12

DD slept in till 10am! Lol. So we have all had a lie in which has made me feel a lot better.

Getting a bit annoyed with DH again - all he ever wants to do is stay at home and do nothing. Just wants to sit at home and watch TV all day. It isn't fair on anybody and all it means is DD gets bored and grumpy - so do I! And none of us end up with any fresh air. I managed to drag him to the park round the corner yesterday but after about 10 mins, max he was saying to head home.

WhatFreshEggIsThis · 12/04/2009 12:40

Hello all

Congratulations Rachel! Beautiful boy and beautiful name.

And Springy, what a fab birth story, well done you. Glad it went so well x

I have had a rubbish morning - DS1 managed to clonk Orbit on the head when doing a Superman dive onto the sofa, so I have spent the morning crying and checking Orbit for signs of concussion. I don't think he hit the soft bit, and Orbit only cried for a second, but I'm still being anxious mum

He's asleep now and I keep going and poking him to make sure he's responsive - he was awake for about an hour afterwards and was responsive, fed twice, could follow my fingers wiggling with his eyes, and didn't black out or throw up, so I figure he's probably ok? When I poke him he does his Moro reflex and stirs, so he's still conscious, right?

My next door neighbour is a GP so if I get worried I'm going to call on her, but I think all is well. Really hard not to be REALLY cross with DS1, even though it was an accident. And REALLY cross with myself, I should have moved away from the sofa or told DS1 to stop diving.

Can someone in charge of the list add 'aka Orbit Buttonhole' after Felix's name? I feel sad that it isn't there any more

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 12/04/2009 13:27

Congratulations Rachel! So happy the wait is over for you, and another ace name for the April babies

great Birth story Springy. Glad it was a positive experience for you even though it went a bit differently from plan.

To everyone who is overdue, or just plain fed up with being pregnant Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
COME OUT BABIES! NOW! Especially mine; I'm only a few days over but don't think she's EVER EVER EVER going to come out. Especially as I've hasd no bump droppage, show, Braxton Hicks, waters, period type pains or ANYTHING. Plus she is bunched up in one side of my bump (the right side) and has been for some time. Don't know if this means she is trapped, or breech, or what, but fairly certain she is not preparing a swift exit. I'm walking and bouncing.

Oh Happy Easter/Chocolate scoffing day to all

AKA Brilliant.

soon2befamilyof4 · 12/04/2009 15:58

I don't have ANY easter eggs! DD has a couple and MIL said she has some for us but not sure if they are just for the kids - I think she bought me and DH one last year. She usually goes a bit OTT too and gets lovely expensive ones {hopeful!}

Spent an hour driving round trying to find a car bootsale that was advertised for today but couldn't find it anywhere so came home. Really annoyed me as it was such a waste of time and diesel.

Off to take DD to the park now anyway to get us all some air and hopefully wear DD out as she fell asleep in the car when looking for car boot. Hoping she sleeps well again tonight!

PuzzleRocks · 12/04/2009 16:32

bloody hell

mathshoneybunny27 · 12/04/2009 16:35

hello all - still here

where is that website that names your baby strange things? I want an AKA too!!

mathshoneybunny27 · 12/04/2009 16:38

Puzzle I am fairly disturbed by that. Particularly the photo.

brettgirl2 · 12/04/2009 16:42

It's only 'allegedly' puzzle, I'm sure she wasn't actually as young as 5. The picture is still pretty scary.

So here to another 'me' post. Feeling much better than earlier - I think that conkertree actually summed it up pretty well in terms of the feeling of complete anticlimax. This is probably going to sound really materialistic but DH has just bought me a really nice necklace with matching earrings as a 'due date' present. Even though I'd obviously prefer the baby it's actually really helped to have something that marks the day a bit after all this waiting?

I have very similar symptoms to Kali and have done for about a week, so hopefully it shouldn't be too much longer.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 12/04/2009 16:42
