Hi again,
lissyglitter really sorry you're being so sick, I feel sick all the time but haven't actually been it, so can't imagine how bad you must feel!

I decided to pop in and see my friend this afternoon, and took her some flowers, she was really pleased to see me and she told me all about it, she is still very much in shock but is getting on with things. I'm really pleased i went to see her, she has text me since to thank me! So a big thank you for all your advice

We're going away camping tomorrow so am going to finish packing now, Happy Easter everyone and i'll catch up with you all on Tuesday!

southernbelle77 · 09/04/2009 17:46

I'm feeling really sorry for myself! I'm just knackered and feeling really sick today!! And noone here to moan to (well other than 5 children but they don't have my sympathy when I say I'm not feeling so good!) so just came on here to moan instead!!

Thank god it's bank holiday weekend and no more children (other than dd) to occupy for 4 days! Going to see dad on Sunday and will tell him. He lives out the country for half the year and only came back last weekend and wanted to tell him face to face. Already looking at booking his flights back so want to tell him in the slim chance he will go back later to be here when I am due to give birth!

southernbelle77 · 09/04/2009 17:48

Sorry for the me me me post!!

tigger glad you went to see your friend. I'm sure she really did appreciate it and it meant a lot.

Joycey29 · 09/04/2009 20:14

Glad it all sorted Tiger. I think you handled it really well.
Off to bed now as soooooo tired - also eating for England so looki like baby hippo but only way to stop feeling sick!!

BeckyBendyLegs · 09/04/2009 20:27

Hello all, there's a lot to catch up on. I've been out all day to a funeral, very sad, a ex-colleague of mine who was a commissioning editor where I worked. It was very moving though and a real tribute to him. I had to drive for 2 hours there, pick up my friend from Northampton station, drive for 40 minutes to the village, drive my friend back, and drive 2 hours home. So I am now uttery, utterly completely and definitely knackered.

I am so sorry for those of you feeling really rough today - morning sickness is just utter crap really, isn't it? I'm very lucky in that respect but I am worried that my symptoms are so mild. I've finally, finally got a scan date: 4 May. DH though has just informed me that's a bank holiday. Sigh! So perhaps it is wrong.

I hope the rest of you are ok.

travellinglight I am so very sorry to hear your news, big hug to you.

tigger you sound like a lovely friend to me

Off to collapse on a sofa now zzzzz.

LaraT · 09/04/2009 22:35

Wow, you guys talk a lot

I swear i was only gone for 2 days and it has taken me like 2 hours to actch up on everything

So sorry for everyone who's had bad news hope you all have lovely people around to support you x

pavlovthepregnantcat · 10/04/2009 09:42

got a bit of bloody discharge and some mild period pain along with the odd more severe pain. I am very worried esp as I can't get scan appt today .

cupofteaplease · 10/04/2009 10:20

Pavlov- have you rung your MW? Somebody will be working today even if it is not your usual MW. If you get any more, pop along to A&E so they can put your mind at rest.

I'm sure you'll be fine I have read LOADS of accounts on MN about women who have bled through their pregnancies, however, I can understand that you must be worrying right now.

lemontop · 10/04/2009 10:28

pavlov Is your doc surgery open today or is there a walk in EPU near you that's open tomorrow? It's really hard not to worry but it doesn't always mean bad news. I've had spotting on and off from 7-10 weeks with a bit of pain and pretty much every day at the moment and have been told 'it just happens sometimes'.

Hope you're ok. If the pain gets worse you can always go to A&E

pavlovthepregnantcat · 10/04/2009 10:55

hey thanks for replying all. I had spotting at about this time with DD, but still I think the worst! I spoke to out of hours gp who said not much can be done right now either way as epu not open. He said if pain is on one side along with bleeding, he would be concerned about ectopic, and I should call back, but in the meantime, rest lots and then see my own gp on tues who he will email today and he will book early scan to check things out next week.

I am sure its nothing, but its still startling to see and I just keep thinking, 1 out of 4, could be me this time? know that is negative, but cant help these thoughts. Anyway, we are going to go and buy some chocolate eggs, that will make it all better!

Ninjacat · 10/04/2009 12:19

This feels like a bit of a silly question but I have a pain in my left buttock and leg that feels like I have strained a muscle but I don't know how I could have done this.
Is there any chance it's related to the pg? currently 8weeks.

Fruitpastels · 10/04/2009 13:58

Ninjacat I had the same issue(around 8 wks) when I was pregnant with ds. I think I managed to strain myself by bending awkwardly. But it did ease with time. I'm sure it was pregnancy related and our muscles do relax when we're pg. I also had back problems in last pg. I'm just hoping my back will be better this time around.

southernbelle77 · 10/04/2009 15:25

I get sciatica (quite mildly) when pregnant and that causes pain in my buttocks and down the top of my leg. Maybe it's something like that? I wouldn't think it's anything to worry about though.

I have had a very lazy day today. I've not done anything other than sleep or lie on the sofa! Poor dh has been left to it really and has now gone shopping alone while dd and I lie on the sofa together! She's been watching tv while I do nothing! Had to get up to use the toilet so thought I'd quickly pop on here too!! Hoping I get a bit more energy for the rest of the long weekend as don't want dh to think I'm being a lazy arse bones all weekend long!!

Ninjacat · 10/04/2009 15:44

Thank you Southernbelle and Fruitpastels glad I'm not going bonkers.

BeckyBendyLegs · 10/04/2009 16:42

Hello everyone

Pavlov I hope you are ok. It is completely natural to think of the worst. Every twinge and I think 'this is it'.

I feel much sicker today, which is reassuring. I guess this is a result of my mammouth trip round Britain yesterday. I've got tonnes of work to do over Easter too so poor DH has been entertaining the DSs today.

I am only just over 8 weeks. Feels like an eternity until 12 weeks.

How many of you are going to be eating chocolate this weekend? I'm still totally off the stuff but might manage a token nibble.

LaraT · 10/04/2009 17:25

i think i'll be giving the chocolate a miss.

Other than cheese i'm only eating foods that dont taste of anything lol

bread, pasta, potatoes - all with cheese

Took DD to cinema this afternoon. was worried that food smells might equal MS trouble, but survived with constant sipping of sprite!!

pavlovthepregnantcat · 10/04/2009 20:03

Hey all! I am feeling ok, a bit tender in the stomach region but only the odd bit of mild cramping. I am hoping the lack of intensity is a good sign. The blood appears to be old blood, more vague brown blood coloured discharge (tmi sorry ) and it is not getting worse, although it does not appear to be stopping either.

neusea and tiredness, heightened sense of smell, dislike of coffee etc still prominant so again taking all that as a good sign [bsmile}

I have eaten almost an entire Lindt rabbit though, feel a touch sick!

cupofteaplease · 10/04/2009 20:41

Pavlov- glad you're feeling ok. Brown/old blood is a good sign.

Is anyone thinking of names yet? I'm hoping for a third little girl, and dh and I are thinking about pretty names for her! Of course, we will be choosing a boy's name too! I know it's a bit early, and I will feel more positive after my scan on Tuesday, but I'm enjoying the planning.

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/04/2009 11:16

Morning all!

Pavlov glad you're ok, I agree with cupofteaplease brown is supposed to be good sign as this indicates old blood rather than fresh blood. When I had a MC the blood was very red and flowed consistently for the first few days like a period.

I haven't thought about names yet. Too early for me! I haven't any scans or anything yet.

I had a near throw-up moment this morning, my first one! (Lucky me, I know.) I feel better now after a banana and a biscuit. Pregnancy is just such hard work!

I made DH watch Twilight with me last night. Has anyone read the books / seen the film? Great stuff. I read the books about a month ago one after the other in very quick succession.

pinkfizzle · 11/04/2009 11:38

Lara - I think bland foods are supposed to held with MS.

Good luck cup of tea with your scan. Names - well I'm not sure, what about the new Oliver baby "petal blossom rainbow"???
Talking about names, reminds me of what a judge making a 9 year old NZ girl a ward of the courts as she had been named "Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii" to enable her to be renamed.

Pavlov - hang in there, glad you are feeling ok.

Becky - I too am finding this pregancy stuff hard, and wonder what I have got myself in for, it is hysterical - wake up at 3am with involuntary loud dry retching, resulting in bathroom floor hugging which usually goes on until 5am, then from 5am to 7am severe nausea and very dry mouth.
Legs are dead or pins and needles mad.

Anyone dealing with MS while having little ones around had my admiration.

Happy Easter to Everyone! to those of you who can eat chocolate well go ahead and have an egg for me.

X

helips · 11/04/2009 11:45

Morning all, sorry to hear about your ms pinkfizzle, sounds horrendous. I've only felt a bit nauseus (sp?) so consider myself very lucky!

I have eaten so much chocolate this morning, I can't get enough of the stuff!

Have been thinking about names, girls names are easier and I already have a few I like, but boy's names are tricky. I remember last time me and dh struggling with boy's names. Need something to go with a Harry (my ds!) any ideas lady's?

beckybandylegs I love a good book, are the twilight books any good? Going on holiday soon so need some book inspiration!

helips · 11/04/2009 11:47

Oh, and forgot to say, hope you are ok pavlov have lot's of rest (and chocolate), are you going for a scan to put your mind at rest?

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/04/2009 12:04

Pinkfizze poor you - bathroom floor hugging is not fun. I'm relatively lucky so far in the MS stakes. I'm supposed to be taking my DSs on holiday on Tuesday for three days - they are so excited I can't let them down (we're just going to stay in my dad's caravan by the sea).

I wonder how Piper and her twin beans are, and EasyEggs too with her four other DCs to look after.

I wish they made cheese Easter eggs - now I'd go for one of those!

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/04/2009 12:06

helips I'd recommend twilight and the other three if you like escapism, they'd make great holiday books. They aren't works of great literature by any means but I couldn't put them down! My niece recommended them to me. They are teenage books really but addictive.

katster37 · 11/04/2009 19:56

Am trying to type from dh's iPhone am not v good but just wanted to say happy easter and check in.in Cornwall on holiday til Mon and so nice here!

Pavlov I am thinking of you and hoping you're ok.echo the others re brown being old blood.

Ms sufferers hang in there!we are in a tiny b and b with paper Walls was so paranoid puking my guts up at 7am!

Will catch up properly on Mon but enjoy Easter eggs tomorrow if you can stomach them!
