Ladies, it seems that we do not know when to stop!
Here is another thread. Let?s hope it?s just not the tread that moves that fast - let the weeks fly!
I jsut have to work out how to link the old one now!

OP posts:

Supercherry · 01/04/2009 10:38

I couldn't find the old thread! Took me a while to realise it wasn't in Pregnancy. I blame the hormones. Got my booking in appointment on the 5th- cannot wait to get scan booked. Can't decide whether to find out sex this time round or wait for a surprise. The MS is wearing off, thank the lord. Still feel tired though. Seem to have developed PGP Waiting for a referral to a physio.

Hope everyone is blooming

LaraT · 01/04/2009 10:38

hi, i am currently 7+1 (i think) and also have dd (7 years).

I feel awful, so tired and bloated, much more so than the first pregnancy. Still, they say that every one is different

based on my calculations i am due on the 16th november, so i figure early or late, definitely a november baby lol

First appointment with midwife today, excited!

Koumak · 01/04/2009 10:41

Welcome LaraT and great you find it Supercherry
i have asked the HQ if they could put at least a link on the old thread so everybody could find us! Cant beleive we missed that we needed a new thread!

OP posts:
Supercherry · 01/04/2009 10:44

Hi LaraT, congratulations! Sorry you're feeling awful. I am waiting for the 12/13wk mark when hopefully we will start to bloom. I think that's what happened first time round anyway.

Naetha · 01/04/2009 10:53

Hiya there, can I join the club!

Just found out I'm pregnant. I can't for the life of me remember the date of my LMP, so I'm taking it as the 20th Feb, which makes the due date the 27th November.

Seems scarily close already!

I have DS who is 15 months and currently driving me up the wall (not his fault to be fair - MMR last week, teething and got a cold to boot).

So far, I don't seem to have any symptoms at all, other than lack of a period and a BFP! Long may this last as I suffered pretty badly with MS last time.

Nobody knows so far except for DH - when do I bother going to see/call the MW?

Got a wine-tasting evening tonight as well, with all my mum-friends. Not too sure how to go about it - will probably have a small drink and then pretend for the rest of the night!

Anyway, thought I'd introduce myself, so there you go

Hope everyone else is doing well and coping OK!

ursigurke · 01/04/2009 10:59

One day of no mn for me and three pages to read!
Newherehelp - I'm really sorry about your sad news. I hope you and your partner will get the support you need. Good news that the tube is still fine so I'm sure you'll be a mum soon.
iggypiggy - I'm hoping you are suffering from really terrible symptoms again and that your next scan will show you a grown bean. Try not to worry too much. I do not understand why they think they can tell the exact day you are on. I really think that, as later in life, there are some differences in size. Good luck for you.
Koumak - Well, I had lots of phone calls on Monday, if my GP finally managed to send that stupid fax (maybe I should just offer, I'll bring it to the hospital myself), they could have send me a letter yesterday and it could have been here today... which it wasn't. So I think, I'll call them again this afternoon if I do not forget about it. Maybe it is already in the mail and will be here tomorrow but I do not trust my GP at all.
katster37 - I think I told my boss and the colleague I'm normally working with in my 8th week and it was a good decision as my work includes carrying heavy stuff and standing for hours. They both really care about it and pay attention that I get enough rest and everything.

I'm feeling rather fine, I feel less sick than a couple of weeks ago (I hope it is only because my body is getting used to it and I'm already in week 10). Yesterday I had been working for 16! hours (ok, a break was included) - before you start to bitch about my boss, it was my choice, as I had done most of the planning and preparation so I wanted to be part of the succes, and it was a huge one - I felt quite ok, not worse than I would normal, maybe I just didn't have time to feel sick but I was a bit worried about it when I got home. So I was really happy when I woke up at 3am and felt terribly sick

Supercherry · 01/04/2009 11:25

Congratulations Naetha. I have a 14mth old DS so we will have similar age gaps. The thought is a bit daunting isn't it?

scarlotti · 01/04/2009 11:34

Hello all

Found the new thread! Shame we didn't manage to link to the old one in time - hope everyone finds their way over.

newhere so sorry to hear your news. Glad they saved your tube and hope to see you back on an antenatal thread soon. Thinking of you.

Went for our scan last night and all is going really well! Am 8+4 and that's what the baby measured (great news as the last one didn't grow properly before I m/c) and we even heard the heartbeat which sounded so strong. Had a little cry of relief afterwards. Feel a bit better but part of me still holding back my feelings just in case. Am hoping that over time the paranoia will go.
My ms has eased much more, but now I have heartburn so am drinking milk like it's going out of fashion!!

Laugs · 01/04/2009 11:46

Hi, can I join please? I am 6+2 I think. Estimated due date is 21st November. I have a toddler already, who is really tiring me out at the moment. I've been going to bed at 8pm quite a few nights, but will be having my special late night tonight for The Apprentice. That really is how exciting my life is at the moment.

I haven't read the other thread, but I hope you are all doing well. We haven't really told anyone in real life yet (except our parents) so it's nice to have people to chat to as the morning sickness fades and we become glowing earth mothers!

Does anyone else have a toddler (mine's 2.5) and how are they managing to keep them entertained while they get some rest? I normally have a very strict 5pm TV threshold, but it is getting earlier and earlier by the day. Thank god for CBeebies.

Koumak · 01/04/2009 12:04

I am trying to update the list. Almost there.

OP posts:
Supercherry · 01/04/2009 12:14

Congrats Laugs- I know what you mean about Cbeebies. Pre-motherhood, I was very 'my child won'tbe glued to the TV all day, we will do creative play, reading blah blah blah', now I relish those short moments where DS actually sits and watches TV for a bit. I lie on the settee and will him to keep still for more than 5 minutes . Oh it's hard being pregnant with a toddler, mines only 14mths but he is demanding. In a good way of course. I just keep getting different toys down. I get pots and pans out. The other day I took him up to his room to play while I lay on his bedroom floor feeling sick and tired. I count down the hours until bedtime.

Flumpity · 01/04/2009 12:17

hello ladies, found you! it is knackering with a toddler isn't it. god knows how i'm going to cope if nausea kicks in like last time. i'm already feeling a bit queasy (5w+6)and i seem to recall it started in earnest 7 or 8 weeks and got worse till 12 weeks. ugh. dd is 22 months and very full of energy. i think my dd is 26th nov but dd was induced 2 weeks late so maybe this will be a december baby! hope not. 42 week pregnancy wasn't fun. how is everyone else? do you manage to post from work? I can't unfortunately, just too open plan an office to get away with it.

Koumak · 01/04/2009 12:18

well done koumak

My ds is 3.3 but at nursery all day as I work full time. think I have it easier than you sahm's to be honest. During the early weeks when I felt dreadful I went home from work early and went to bed, while dh collected him from nursery. I could then get up at 6 feeling a tad more human. Am feeling better now at 8+5 so hang in there.

Koumak · 01/04/2009 12:20

Hi all and newbies,

newhere sorry to hear your news, thinking of you.

I too have a almost 3 year old son, and I am finding it very hard work at times. My MS is very on/off, yesterday was terrible i felt sick from the second i woke up til the second i went to bed. I work in an office in the evenings from 5-9 and I am finding that very hard at the moment. My MS seems a lot worse than with ds as I only felt sick for a couple of hours in the morning with him but this time round it's all day. I am very luck as I have a VERY good DH who does everything at the moment

newherehelp I'm so sorry to hear your news.
iggypiggy I hope everything's going to be ok.

I'm fining work quite tough at the moment. I teach teenagers and had to split up two lads fighting before 9.15 this morning. Only a few more days till the holidays and I can relax. I haven't told anyone at work yet. I'm not sure my male line manager would be very sympathetic. Roll on 12 weeks.

My nausea seemps to have relaxed a little (I'm 9 weeks tomorrow) but I keep getting really bad headaches.

katster37 · 01/04/2009 14:01

Wow, welcome newbies, I think the midwives are going to be pretty busy this November I hope...
Talking of midwives, mine just rang me for my booking in appointment! It's not until the day of my scan, so that's going to be a pretty busy day. Can't believe nothing happens between now and then - it seems ages away until May. Although I suppose we are April now so it's technically next month!
Becks my MS seems to be on/off too. Yesterday was terrible - I woke at 5am feeling sick and was retching all day long. TOday, I was sick once at work, got sent home and am feeling a)worried and b)guilty that I feel OK now. Although the lovely 2 hour nap may have helped.
Lemontop poor you. What year do you teach? Maybe you should tell your boss?

cupofteaplease · 01/04/2009 14:09

Hi all, well after my scan worrying me yesterday, I realised this morning that I really do feel pregnant! I feel really bloated around the tummy- my jeans button is not doing up easily! I still feel nauseous in the mid morning, and tired in the afternoon. So I am going to stop worrying, and just book in for a re-scan in 2 weeks. There is nothing else I can do and worrying will not help me or the baby

I haven't added my name to the list, because I've no idea of my EDD.

I told a friend via email last night as she and I are going on a hen weekend in 2 weeks and I need her to help me cover up that I am not drinking! She text me today to say congatulations and it felt really exciting- like this is actually happening!!

Heathcliffscathy · 01/04/2009 15:13

just taking myself off as i miscarried yesterday. sorry to have bad news on lovely joyous thread.

sophable - sorry to hear about your bad news. I hope you will get every support you'll need in real life.
cupofteaplease - very good that you are optimistic again and I wish you lots of ms
scarlotti - congratulations to your scan results. I think it is good for us as well to hear about good news on this thread.

I've just tried to call the birth centre at St Mary's again and again. As usual no answer. They definitely seem to have better things to do than waiting for my call. I think I give up for today and try again tomorrow if there is still no letter in the mail.

Koumak · 01/04/2009 15:58

How frustrating ursigurke can you not just "drop in"?
I know it is a long shot but surely maternity ward will have some sort of 24 hour antenatal service?
