Ladies, it seems that we do not know when to stop!
Here is another thread. Let?s hope it?s just not the tread that moves that fast - let the weeks fly!
I jsut have to work out how to link the old one now!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ursigurke · 07/04/2009 19:44

iggypiggy - I've only seen your post now. I am so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope you will have lots of support. Good luck for the future.

chocotastic · 07/04/2009 19:54

Iggypiggy, I'm really sorry to hear your sad news. I have been keeping my fingers crossed for you all day, so sorry it was bad news.

Ninjacat · 07/04/2009 20:02

IggyPiggy I'm so very sorry to hear your news. Be kind to yourself and take care.

ursigurke All advice for pregnant women seems to contradictory, doesn't it? I do hope you get to see your sister but I suppose airing on the side of caution saves any panic later on.

beckybendylegs I've had three early scans at the EPAC but that's because I had a suspected eptopic.

My GP said that it was up to me to contact the Midwife but that they didn't have the phone number!!! Tracked it down through the local hospital in the end.

I suppose it's just a question of waiting now. I swear I never felt this sick with my first DS ugh!!!

BeckyBendyLegs · 07/04/2009 20:11

iggypiggy we must have posted at the same time. So sorry to hear your news. I've been there, it is very sad. Big hug to you, take care of yourself xxxx

southernbelle77 · 07/04/2009 20:16

iggypiggy I'm so sorry. This is such a hard time and make sure you take the time you need and I hope you have lots of support to help you through this.

scarlotti · 07/04/2009 20:20

iggypiggy so sorry to hear your news. Take good care of yourself.

pavlovthepregnantcat · 07/04/2009 20:21

iggypiggy - sorry to hear your sad news

PootleTheFlump · 07/04/2009 20:26

I'm so sorry iggypiggy, thinking of you x

turtle23 · 07/04/2009 20:30

iggypiggy-So sorry to hear your news. Look after yourself. xx

turtle23 · 07/04/2009 20:31

BTW all... I have had chicken pox three times. I was exposed to CP when I was 3 weeks pg with DS and was terrified. It was fine, I didn't get it a fourth time, but...eek!

pedalmonster · 07/04/2009 20:41

Joyce29 - a friend of mine had this problem as she moved to Australia! Technically - if you are planning on resigning and moving countries, then NO. What she did was took 12 months maternity leave, the earliest that she could which I think is 11 weeks prior to due date. she then went to Australia, to "visit family etc" ... no one from work really checked. Then at the end of the 12 months she resigned. She came back to visit and then went back to work to discuss etc and resigned, no-one was any the wiser that she had been living in australia for a year!
If you are being relocated due to work - that is a different story. If your contract is still here in UK then you are still under UK laws, so you should still be eligible for materity pay.
Note - -this will not work if you are claiming Maternity Benefit (if you are not employed).

ursigurke · 07/04/2009 20:42

turtle23 - You are not helping I was just convinced it would be fine because I found several homepages (quite serious ones) saying you can only get them once. I distinctly know that I had them as a child. I guess I have to call the GP tomorrow. I just hope I won't forget it.

pedalmonster · 07/04/2009 20:50

iggypiggy I'm so sorry about your news. I was in the same situation early February; i know what you mean about expecting the worst, but it is like a final blow when you are lying there with that probe up your fanny listening to someone say "i'm sorry".

I hope you manage to work through this; and on a positive spin, if you have an MC it is more likely to have a good pregnancy next time (the dr told me, but i dont have stats).

But don't feel that you have to rush yourself through this. We are all thinking of you - pop back some time and let us know how you are getting on. xx

PS and please eat a huge plate of contra-ban smelly cheese for those of us craving it!

katster37 · 07/04/2009 20:53

Oh IggyPiggy I am so sad for you. I really hope you are OK and that DH is being lovely. I echo pedalmonster - eat a giant bowl of camembert, brie, parma ham and wash it down with a delicious glass of white wine.
Take care of yourself and big hugs. x

scarlotti · 07/04/2009 20:59

usigurke I know a few people who've had it twice, sorry

FattipuffsandThinnifers · 07/04/2009 21:07

Hello all

I did post on the previous thread but not often so no-one will know me! But I've added myself to the list.

Am feeling absolutely bloody awful, 100 times worse than with ds. Anyone have any tips for continual nausea??

Iggypiggy I am so sorry to hear your news.

I know how devastating it is.

I posted on your other thread about ERPC/natural mc, I'll check there again to talk further.

xx

Adding me to the list... (sorry I'm a bit slow on the uptake, blame it on the pregnancy!)

iggypiggy so sorry to hear about your scan. Take care. x

brightonbaby · 07/04/2009 22:49

I'm so sorry iggypiggy. Take good care of yourself. x

helips · 08/04/2009 07:42

iggypiggy i'm so so sorry to hear your sad news. Take care of yourself and I wish you all the luck in the world for the future.

turtle23 · 08/04/2009 08:19

Having recently gone through a "I dont think I am pg anymore" blip two things reminded me that I am. First, decided at 7 weeks to take a test again. Freaked as the line was fainter on one side. Then realised that it was the control line looking pale in comparison to VERY PG line.
Second, last night was eating olives(which I hate unless pg) with feta and drinking blood orange juice and remarking to DH how fab they tasted together....
[disclaimer...feta was pasturised!)

tigger32 · 08/04/2009 08:44

iggypiggy so sorry your scan confirmed the worst, please do look after yourself and take some time out.

I have had some bad news myself this morning, a very good friend of mine's mum died in the night I really want to be there for her but I can't stop crying, someone please give me a kick up the bum so I can do what a friend should be doing at these times

BeckyBendyLegs · 08/04/2009 08:53

Oh tigger I'm so sorry, that's very sad. I'm sure you're friend would want you to cry with her rather than alone. She might just want to cry with a friend.

iggypiggy · 08/04/2009 08:58

Thank you all so much xx

pedalmonster am planning on buying some camembert and blue cheese asap - and had a beer last night and will prb have a huge glass of wine tonight.

Tigger32 - sorry you had bad news - I have been crying so much more with all these hormones (before my own bad news I mean) so is understandable. x

May pop back every once in a while to see how you are all getting on x
