Jools- was so sorry to read about your bleed- thinking of you lots. Really hope that the scan goes as well as possible and you find out what's going on- I sometimes think the not knowing is even worse as you can't start to even process any emotion... But it's so hard

Tilly- thinking of you too- any joy from your midwife on getting a scan?

Don't want to seem insensitive but had my early scan yesterday and all is fine with the bean, and dates agree. Have CVS date booked now- 29th May- which seems like forever away. It's going to be a very hard wait Started aspirin again too (due to previous PE)- it all seems very real and pretty scary now.

I had my first mw appt yesterday and have told my boss this morning. Huge weight off my mind now. Last time I was pg I wasn't treated very well at work and I'm determined it's not going to happen again.

Well - midwife won't refer me to EPU unless I have more bleeding and/or pain. I haven't bled any more since Wednesday but I can't help thinking something isn't right. My boobs aren't sore any more but I am still getting nausea and dizziness occasionally. The most alarming thing for me is that my "bump" has disappeared. I know it sounds ridiculous but I had a noticeable bump earlier in the week (because I have lots of large fibroids, I start to show really early), but from having the bleed on Wednesday, it seems to have gone right down

If there is no more bleeding, I think I'm going to book a private scan some time after 7 weeks because if it is a mmc, I don't want to wait until 12 weeks to find out.

I have to say on Wednesday I was 99% certain it was all over but every day I'm feeling a little bit more positive. I just want to know really...

Hello all! Can I join in? I'm due Boxing Day. Already have 6YO DTs so really hoping for a singleton this time. Strong early result and sod's law might suggest otherwise though....

As expected, complete mc confirmed this morning. I feel strangely OK at the mo - relieved the pain has finally gone and am not suffering the shock and hormone crash I had with the 12 week mc last year. Hopefully I can bounce back quickly from this one. Am on hols next week - you never know what might happen

jools so sorry But in a way at least like you said it's happened a bit earlier without such a hormone crash- small consolation though. Hope you can manage to enjoy your hols as much as possible and focus on trying again- wishing you all the luck in the world xx

Jools So sorry. Glad to hear you're feeling positive though. I know exactly how you feel, I had a mmc before dd and just felt like I'd "wasted" so much time iyswim ? At least when its early, you can move on and try again quickly. Onwards and upwards and hope you have a lovely holiday next week. Look after yourself xx

Hello all, hope I can join your group.

I found out a couple of weeks ago that I'm pregnant with my second child - DS is only 7 1/2 months, and I've only had one period since he was born, so this was somewhat of a shock! There I was thinking "Well, I guess I'll be a bit irregular for a while until my cycle sorts itself out" - no, not irregular, just knocked up.....

Anyway, have been feeling very scared and overwhelmed for the last couple of weeks, all very different from when I was pregnant last time. I don't know if anyone else has felt like this? I guess the thought of having two babies only 15 months apart is just a bit scary.

However, have woken up this morning feeling suddenly positive about the whole thing ! So, here I am - looking forward to sharing it with you. x

can imagine that was a bit of a shock! My best friend has two which are 17 months apart, quite similar. I think she found the first few months hard work, but now it's brilliant because her two are so close in age they are really good friends. A bit like having twins I suppose? Good luck with it!

Hi Penny, my DDs are only 17.5 months apart, and yes it is really hard work when #2 arrives, but it's SO worth it now! They play together really nicely and will only be 1 school year apart. It's hard when they're both in nappies but now they're best friends

Thank you both, that's so nice to hear! My brothers are only 14 months apart, and have always been incredibly close.

It's silly, because we definitely wanted more, and quite quickly, but I suppose I thought I'd have another 6 months. Oh well, I know I should look on this as the blessing that it is. It took us quite a while to get pregnant the first time, so I am grateful that we are able to have another baby.

Hurrah! Time to get excited now!

My son Jimmy was born on the 1st March - I had a "slip-up" with my partner on 2nd April and took the morning after pill 9 hours later. But to no avail. Was found to be pregnant at my six week postnatal check.

I'm 7'ish wks with number 2, DD5 and absolutly over the moon to be pg as we never thought it would ever happen given my history. Still can't get my head round it lol, but looking forward to sharing the journey with you all.

Saw HB last week which was just brilliant and allowing some excitment to creep in now No idea on due date yet as for once I didn't keep a record of last period, doh!
