ahh - i have finally got round to making my 1st midwife appointment - blimey the doctors receptionist was not impressed with me as I can't see her until the 16th June - yes but you really needed to see her before that (me - ohh) but i just don't have anything else. You really needed to see before, you should have rung before (me: yes)....I swear the woman hates me!

Hi everyone, I haven't posted for absolutely ages and ages. Have my scan tomorrow morning so looking forward to that and will report back on Friday (not coming into work tomorrow and don't have internet at home).
Keep having dreams about twins - highly unlikely as none in my family and only one set in DH's distant family. Would be a bit of a shock if it came true!
Anyway, looking forward to hearing from everybody else as the scans come round - anyone else tomorrow?

I am not convinced about my dates as my cycle is very accurate and surely that means i have had a period since i was pregnant???!!!
ANYWAY..... am busying myself with exciting things like looking for maternity clothes and prams!!!!!! I got a bit obsessed with prams with my dd and ended up with 5.......ooooppppsss. Am going to wait though to actually buy one.

Hiya
Hope it's ok if I join you all. I have been lurking on this thread for a couple of weeks now, but only now feel able to post. Had 3 early scans as they thought I had an ectopic pg.
Had my first proper scan today, and baby is well lovely strong heartbeat and leaping around all over the place. I am due the 18th Dec. I am having another scan on the 9th June as baby was too small for the downs test. I already have 3 dd's aged 2, 6 and 10.
I will probably mostly just lurk here as I find these threads a bit hard to keep up with.
I hope you all have healthy pregnancies.

Ok...
This might sound stupid, Im 13+4 and I swear to god standing at work today I felt the bubbly popping sensation to the left hand side of my very small bump, Ive been tapping my belly ever since but nothing else has happened.
Do you think Im imagining it?
It wasnt like I was thinking of the baby at the time I was watching people buy duvets off the market actually...
It might of been the way I was standing because most things are all cramped in my torso because of the curve of my spine but surely this is FAR to early to feel anything?! I didnt feel DS until about 17 weeks.

Baisey - I have heard other people saying they could feel the 2nd pregnancy as early as 12 weeks. It could be esp if you are slim. Don't think I've felt anything yet though I did wonder the other day. BTW aren't we due on the same date (the 4th)? I think I'm 12 + 5 not 13 - have I miscalculated?

Welcome fairywing and aunty purple (do add yourself to the list even if you might not be posting much).

Sparkly - is there any way it could have been an implantation bleed rather than a period? I'd stay here anyway now you're settled here. You may well end up being in Dec anyway and it's much nicer being high up the list rather than seeing everyone get to milestones that are weeks away for you.

Weighed myself last night to find that I have in fact lost weight since I've been pregnant! Only a little - about a pound - but given that I think I've had about 3 Dominos Pizas this month I was quite shocked! They seem to be the only thing I can face the thought of when I'm really sick for some reason?!?

According to my pregnancy book, you're supposed to put on 2-3 pounds in the first 12 weeks (I'm 10 weeks now) but I lost weight the same with DS and he's OK so I'm not too worried. I definietly made up for it in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters with him!

Sarah - I lost lots of weight with dd and only put on 1 and half stone all pregnancy and she was 9lb 12 oz so clearly wasn't too affected by my lack of eating...

This time - I am 11 weeks tomorrow and have already put on 10lb I'm just constantly bloody hungry and thirsty

Thanks Tilly I definietly lost weight at the eginning of my pregnancy with DS and ended up putting on about 3 stone and having a 7lb 9oz baby.

Was still trying to shift the last bit of weight when I found out I was pregnant this time!

I'm sure all will be fine

It's funny you should mention Dominos pizzas SarahL2. I was desperate for a Dominos pizza on Mon evening and discovered they don't deliver to our new house! Aagh, nothing else would do so I was distraught!

Oh No Beffnal! (un)fortuneately for me, MK seems to have more Dominos than it knows what to do with!!

I love cheese. One of my favourites being a plain, mild cheddar.

Just gone to make cheese sandwiches for me and DS and I can't stand the smell of the stuff! Smells like old socks. It only got delivered yesterday so I'm sure it's fresh!

Very strange. I never had cravings or intense dislikes to food in my last pregnancy.

Anyone else having a very different pregnancy to thier last??

BTW, it tasted OK. Had to eat it as I'd made the same for DS.

Oh hell yes completely different pregnancy, the last one had no symptoms at all I just got slightly larger in the stomach area. With this one I only have to think about a milky cup of tea and im hurling.
Plus I feel drained, Im sure last time I had the energy to skip through fields of rapeseed...
I dont have as much guilt with this one though. When I was pregnant with Ds I was a smoker and recovering from a drink problem so I had the added "ohhh god I need a drink/cigarette soooo badly" feeling.

I wonder if this means we're getting DD's this time Baisey?

Sparklycheery definitely stay here! I am due 28 Nov too and I feel like I have one foot in and one foot out! As someone said to me, on MN it's good to be an early in the month rather than late as you don't have to watch all those other mummies pop off and deliver while you're still waiting around!

Fingers crossed we will be the early ones on this thread!

Plus, reading November, I feel really behind everyone, they all had their scans WEEKS before me (lots of early ones too) and I felt like nothing was happening.

i ma back to yoga next week - my teacher told me to stop until 12 week mark and I am now 13+4 so it's back to the mat for me!

I've put a stone so far & I'm only 12+4. I only put on 2 stone in total with ds which is not looking likely this time. I feel & look totally different this time round & also keep getting told it means I'm having a girl this time round. Having had my first scan I'm now impatient to find out what I'm having.
