hi i have just found mumsnet again so thanks for the prompt to this thread..... have hidden the other one and joined the gang here. I have a dd who is 7 and I am due on 5th December. Am off work already with high blood pressure and sickness. feel lousy and rather tearful but am ok. I heard today that sickness may result in baby having higher IQ ........ know its rubbish but its a positive thought when i am feeling sooooooooo ropey. seeing midwife next monday for my first appointment but havent had a scan yet.... my dates are accurate and i am quitre positive about it all. treid to scrounge a 12 week scan but doc said i porb wouldnt need one....... thought about having a private one but as long as i hear the heart beat i am not worrying about the rest. Just sent my dp out for sea bands and sour sweets ...... apparently they are going to help!!!!

I know what you mean, alexpolismum - kind of difficult to keep quiet about being pg if your daughter keeps telling people 'my mum's got a baby in her tummy'...! Maybe shouldn't have told the kids about it - but it's really sweet how excited and interested they are.

having to remove myself from the list as the scan yesterday showed no heatbeat , it was the size of 6wks, and i was suppose to be 9 wks plus, i guess this is why i had no morning sickness. ( I thought this pregnancy was a bit easy, now i know why)

am now waiting for my body to catch up and do it naturally if not then having a procedure next week.

I'm not getting a scan till 12 weeks - I'm petrified!

just changing my EDD, had midwife appointment last friday. Still waiting for a scan date, hope its soon as i can not wait until i can tell people, i am finding it really hard this time to keep quiet.

Gotten myself all worked up this afternoon cause I'm not feeling very sick at the moment!!

Never thought I would miss feeling nauseous!

I don't really feel very sick either, maybe just a little if I'm hungry. I'm worrying about that, particularly because of Looby's post. I have a really bad feeling about it all.

Tyring to convince myself that I am just maybe (hopefully) over analysing after looby's post. If I think back, afternoons have not been so bad all week - I think. I felt absolutely awful this morning after all!

I can't wait for the next 5 weeks to be over so I can have my scan...

this is why i am hanging away from thread until later on....others news can be a bit much sometimes.

I was sicky a few days ago, but it seems to have gone too. I am left with bone shattering tiredness though, and sore breasts. MS does not affect everyone; this is my 4th baby and i have never once been sick whilst pregnant.

To those who are feeling crappy, see me raving about vitamin B6 here, it's made such a huge difference so definitely worth a try. Started on the Spatone today too so will let you know how that goes. Anyone got any more remedies they want testing, I feel like a right guinea pig here!

Sorry x-posts Marla, I hope it's nothing and you get your symptoms back soon. Do you have a date for a scan yet?

Marla - any spotting, cramping? have you mc before, and you are over analysing? some days are better than others

Marla - I'm sure it'll be fine. I don't really have many of the symptoms you described either.

And the MW told me the tummy pains are normal as long as they are not in one side or accompanied by bleeding.

Marla, i got caught in that testing trap it may make you feel better, anyway.

I don't know, I've never used one and tbh all the posts I've ever seen about them seem to be people saying 'It says 1-2, it should say 3-4, what's going on??' and causing more worry than reassurance! Do you have a walk-in EPU near you? We don't have one here so I have no experience of them, but if you do have one, perhaps they could do a scan for you?

Maybe it's just your cold changing the way you feel? [hopeful]

or if you can go privately?
