Conker - standard Boff chickenpox alert - remember it can kill a newborn so please tell your GP if it's in the house. If he has it around the time of the birth, some sort of anti-viral/quarantine may be necessary.

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 15:24

I like that thread title yes

Juwesm · 31/03/2009 15:25

Afternoon ladies, hope everyone is well. Anymore babies? (Will play catch up in a bit).

Went to MW this morning, and am progressing bit by bit! LO has gone from 3/5 to 2/5. GIve it another 2 weeks and we may have made it to fully engaged! Am booked for a sweep next Tues, unless anything happens inbetween.

Went for a nice stroll around town, and sat by the duck pond like an old biddy for ages, and have just been and had lunch with NCT ladies. One of the six of us has delivered, so the baby train has set off in RL too! I had the most enormous plates of nachos for lunch - num num num! It is a lovely sunny day here in Kent, and getting rather warm, which is very nice! And to top it all off, I have a lemon drizzle cake to make a start on!

Right - how many pages are there to read?

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 15:29

Just so tired today...I think Im going to be horribly lazy and lay down again to see if I fall asleep... drowsy drowsy...

conkertree · 31/03/2009 15:29

Just got sent this maths problem and am patting myself on the back as I managed to get it right first time!!!

This is a 5th grade math problem.

This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem & don't say that the bus doesn't have legs.

There are 7 girls in a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack, there are 7 big cats. For every big cat, there are 7 little cats.

The bus driver is not in the bus at this time.

How many legs are there on the bus?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 15:48

Juw - Yay for progression!! sounds like a cool day!!

Bleu - get as much sleep as you can in, your body will store it

Conker - sorry about the chickenpox, hope your ds gets over it quickly xx

Ooh Springy, thanks for the tip. mijoteuse sauteuse; nid d'ange. I shall inundate the thread with italics. Nothing will stop me now (except that it's a right faff).

Boff, good training work. Your AP may turn out to be a godsend in the coming weeks after all the previous trauma!

My mum has just called to say that MIL phoned her this afternoon (they barely know each other since they live in different countries) to "organise the switchover" after my mum's visit. Since I was hoping I could fob MIL off, because she drives me round the bend and halfway back, this is a major PITA. She has a train booked for the 27th and is overjoyed because she'll get here in time to see my mum, who is far less thrilled as MIL has just overwhelmed her down the phone with a whole spiel about what their roles are and how they need to work together to ensure DS is OK after the baby comes. I had asked DH to tell her that I might prefer to have a little break and time to myself with the kids (and the chance to use the living room without someone sleeping in it) between visits. But hey, who am I to decide such minor issues?
zut alors, merde, p*tain.

AuldAlliance · 31/03/2009 15:55

406?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 15:55

238 yay

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 31/03/2009 15:56

2748
But who cares?

Juwesm · 31/03/2009 15:57

As I was going to St Ives
I met a man with seven wives
Each wife had seven sacks
Each sack had seven cats
Each cat had seven kits
Kits, cats, sacks, wives
How many were going to St Ives?

Why alter the original?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 15:57

gah i hate maths

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 15:58

sorry mathsmummy (am a engilsh and art type of gal and have no head for numbers )

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 31/03/2009 15:58

7 x 7 = 49 backpacks
49 x 7 = 343 big cats
343 big cats + 343 little cats = 686
686 x 4 legs = 2744 legs
Add 14 girls' legs = 2758 (sorry, typo in last post)

Can I have a gold star now?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 16:00

Boff - but the backpacks dont have legs??

OP posts:
Juwesm · 31/03/2009 16:00

Boff, surely 2401 little cats?

Juwesm · 31/03/2009 16:02

Whole big mess of cats for one bus, that's for sure!

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 16:02

No you are all wrong!!!

Juwesm · 31/03/2009 16:03

Wouldn't want to clean that bus at the end of the day.

AuldAlliance · 31/03/2009 16:04

I hate maths, too. And am too annoyed about MIL to do sums!

Juwesm · 31/03/2009 16:04

Who let the cat out of the bag?
