try this
right ladies, be my guinea pigs. Let's see if we can get these babies out today!

BabyBolat · 28/03/2009 10:18

Hello, DH and I just went for a 3 mile walk into town to get lots of lovely fruit and vegetables from the market (including a very very big fresh pineapple!!!) Have been walking for 2 hours and no movement as yet - think last nights twinges were a bit of a false start here too!!

Bleu, yay for getting things done!

Kitty - how exciting (I am mostly impressed that you can get your rings on and off, my wedding ring is stuck on and I can't get my engagement rings on!)

Tristal - it is freezing outside - my ears hurt a lot from walking in the wind!!!

tristaleejac · 28/03/2009 10:20

BB I always get that, isn't it horrible. Even on a not too chilly day, if there's any breeze my ears get really sore
Try that link for me BB, bet it'll work with you

BabyBolat · 28/03/2009 10:20

Trista I tried the first two and got a bit bored....

tristaleejac · 28/03/2009 10:21

I took my rings off the other day. Hands feel naked but I'd rather that than they get stuck on my fingers.

BabyBolat · 28/03/2009 10:23

Ma and DH have tried them all and nothing unfortunately!!!

tristaleejac · 28/03/2009 10:26

Hmmm that's pants. I was hoping they would work great and we could all have our babies today

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 28/03/2009 11:04

oooh Nutty that's not on... scratching beloved cd'S?? Pants to BIL!

As for secret to my loved-up marriage, this is my recipe for success...

Start chatting to a random stranger on Skype
Like his sense of humour so swap mobile numbers
Chat via text a LOT
Meet up for coffee which turns into cocktails
Make love on the second date - something I NEVER EVER do!!! naughty girl...
Start dating exclusively two weeks later
Get engaged within three months
Nine months later, walk down the aisle
Move to a foreign country three weeks after the wedding
A year and a bit later, make babies!!

Seems to have worked very well for me...

Although I am the first to admit that I had to meet a LOT of dodgy men before finding the diamond in the rough... It took time but I got him eventually!

Also, I think having moved over here has made us a lot closer than most, as we've had to be each others' support, best friend, family etc etc through a pretty hectic two years. Hence the bling...

bronze · 28/03/2009 11:19

I'm redesigning the ring that we were going to get me when we had some money. We don't have any money yet but it will need to be changed as its all our birthstones. Don't know yet whether it will be another diamond or an emerald though.

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 28/03/2009 11:24

Wow bronze that's such a lovely idea!! And so special too....

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 28/03/2009 11:26

bronze · 28/03/2009 11:39

I assume you're talking about the old thread

trista it worked well before as I had 5 neat colours but having 6 seems to be more difficult.

SpringySunshine · 28/03/2009 11:40

I'm fabulous, aren't I?

Morning ladies! I'm in a bit of a grump, because I've spent all week waiting for a nice weekend with DH. He was meant to have a day off yesterday, but went into uni instead. & this morning he announced that he had 2 assignments to finish, which could take all day.

I don't blame him - if he has work to do, he has work to do. & better to do it now than after the baby's here. But now I have another day of sitting having to entertain myself within these 4 walls.

Is nobody labouring yet?!

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 28/03/2009 11:40

DH is from Cape Town, I was born here in the UK but have lived all over the world. I'd settled in South Africa when we met and decided we wanted to travel... seems like it'll be more Kinderhotels than Five Star hotels but that's fine by me!!!

bronze · 28/03/2009 11:41

erm Anyone seen whats Boffs been up to?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 28/03/2009 11:42

Bronze - could you not have a central pink diamond/ruby (or whatever) to symbolise your marrige and then have the birthstones surrounding?? or similar

OP posts:
Schulte · 28/03/2009 11:44

Morning lovelies

Springy I am of you all on your own at home... just think, you can do whatever you like all day while here it's entertaining a toddler, changing nappies and trying to keep on top of the general chaos. Do you want to swap?

Just waiting for some friends to arrive with their 2 DCs so DD will be nice and busy and happy, the poor thing is already asking to go back to nursery and she's only been at home for 2 days.

What are you all waiting for by the way - go on, have your babies!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 28/03/2009 11:45

Springy you have been pipped by Boff!! nope no labours

Kitty - ooohhh how cool xx
