Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Swaliswan · 31/03/2009 13:58

I'm PMSL at the goose fat posts!

I'm sat on my birth ball in a dress I was up all night with period pains and a little bit of back pain. I have a horrible feeling that this baby is moving from LOT to OP position.

Is anyone else getting phone calls from people that are basically 'have-you-had-the-baby-yet?' phone calls. I'm getting fed up of people trying to guess when this baby is going to be born especially as I still have another 3.5 weeks to due date!

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 13:59

oddeyes thats what the hospital said - yes it is all happening but could be a long wait!!! ouch re big big baby!

bleu yanbu! just say no!

conker - there probably is but you know queue jumping just isn't very english!!!

just had a text from nutty her DD is ok thankfully and sure she will be on and indulging in some goose action soon!!!

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 14:01

schultes lots of gunk but dont think its show just yet - sorry if its tmi - actually what am I saying you lot were just talking about goose semen!

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 14:02

Oh Swalis! YES! I'm thinking 'give a girl a chance!' though I'm much closer than you are...Which is where my evil plan comes into play
hahhahahahha!

Plus I've put a note on my facebook page to say that I've not had it yet... seems to have helped actually. Though tomorrow if I enact my dastardly plan I'll need to update that too...

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 14:03

swali - all the time - I threw a strop on sunday am as had 4 texts when i woke up, no how are you or anything just is the baby here grrrr...

conkertree · 31/03/2009 14:03

great news about nutty's dd - poor wee thing must have been in a lot of pain.

queue jumping bb- i'm all right then as i'm Scottish . i remember i watched loads of Friends episodes in early labour cause they passed the time and didnt need to concentrate much on them. fingers crossed its not days more of waiting though.

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 14:06

Thank goodness nutty's dd is alright I was beginning to wonder.

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 14:07

phd your poor DH... and YOU. Must be frustrating.

Schulte · 31/03/2009 14:08

Gosh just realised I am full term today that's right, at 37 weeks yes? Mumble having had her baby is a bit scary because she wasn't due until mid April! And that reminds me, big CONGRATULATIONS to Mumble and little Orson! One of DD's friends is called Orson too and he's very cute.

Schulte · 31/03/2009 14:10

You do know that to breed turkeys you've basically got to masturbate the males to get the semen don't you... I guess that's how the goose semen is collected too - yuk yuk YUK.

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 14:12

now HOW? do you know THAT? Schulte?

SpringySunshine · 31/03/2009 14:12

Oh Nutty! Vicks in her eye? Ouch... I hope to finish reading this & find out that she's totally fine. Must've been painful though! Okay, I just read BB's update. Poor girl. The whole family could do with a break!

OOOOOOOOH! BB! EARLY LABOUR! OOOOOOOH! I'm genuinely very excited

Auld, you have to put '^' around each word individually, for some reason.

brettgirl, good point about the library. For some reason I don't think of the library being somewhere to get fun books from these days - just uni stuff! & I was intending to order things online - I don't want to have to leave the flat! But you're right - I shall investigate

Oh my gosh! Mumble! That was a shocker! Wasn't expecting that Wow, it really is all kicking off! It's like the popcorn analogy is actually right! Yay!

Christ, Boffin - I love you all & would do almost anything to help you bring your babies into this world, but please don't volunteer my vibrator to other people - that's taking it a little too far You're all welcome to borrow my servants or geese, though?

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 14:13

DH just texted saying he went to the pub for lunch so he won't be home until later...

I told him I finished off the crisps and Lion Bar ice creams...

So I guess it's fair play...

phdlife · 31/03/2009 14:14

yes, Schulte, how DO you know that???

SpringySunshine · 31/03/2009 14:15

You women aren't half full of strange information.

So, who's going to get Rebecca Loos on the phone?

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 14:15

Hey springy - yes all very exciting / frustrating - the pain does calm down a bit when I move around so going to go for a walk when I have finished my cheese on toast!!! You are not as excited as DH who is calling me every 5 minutes even when I told him I was sleeping it off!!!

Where have you been hiding this morning - hope you and DH weren't 'encouraging' some early labour of your own!!!

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 14:17

I hate that woman!!!

Schulte · 31/03/2009 14:19

What do we need Rebecca Loos for?

I don't know how I know these things... I think DH told me...

SpringySunshine · 31/03/2009 14:21

Haha, bless him. I can see why it'd be irritating, though. How far away is he at the moment? I'm still sticking with my Thursday. It was a pretty convincing dream. Although last night I had a pretty convincing dream that I got covered in really creepy insects & I woke up trying to brush them off me - that'd better not be some sort of foretelling.

& yes, I hate her too. She's a good example of what's wrong with society.

SpringySunshine · 31/03/2009 14:30

Our 'need' for Rebecca Loos.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 14:30

Ok quick update on last nights drama then i will catch up ......

DD had been quite ill over the weekend with a chesty cough, she woke up at about 11 last night, gave her some calpol then dh popped in to see her and put a bit of vicks on her chest and back as she was still coughing up a storm. DH left her room to come to bed next thing you know all hell has broken loose dd screaming blue murder (she was itchy so rubbed her hands on her chest and got the vicks all over her hand and rubbed her eyes), me and dh raced to the bathroom, rinsing her eyes getting the worst away while being fought off by dd, showered her off so no vicks remaining. her eye was still very bloodshot and swollen, rinsed some more, phoned out of hours doc who seemed to take forever phoning back then drove to a&e.

Waited 2 hours to see the triage nurse, who put litmus paper in her eye, cue more screaming, then another 3 to see the doctor just to be told that the ph was fine and that we had managed to act quick enough and rinse thoroughly enough to avoid any damage to her cornea (thank god!!!!)

dd is skipping round the house today!!! so definate improvement and her eye seems fine Hooray.

Me on the other hand ...... lol amazing how the pain is unnoticeable when your kids are in pain and you need to fix them all supermum last night dashing!!!! around, driving!! to a&e and back. this afternoon i cannot move a thing (well apart from the involuntary shaking) DH has had to lift me from my bed and put me on the sofa and is carrying me to and from the bathroom bless his heart. Tis a morphine day for me today! poor dh is dead on his feet too. dd is very happy as she has had a load of chocolate and treats for being so brave.

OP posts:
Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 14:31

uh huh Schulte...blame your poor DH when he's not here to defend himself...

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 14:32

oh nutty you are supermum!!!

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 14:33

Oh Nutty! What drama! Thank goodness everything is OK with dd! hugs
Go to bed nice and early tonight if you can.

SpringySunshine · 31/03/2009 14:33

Oh Nutty. So pleased that DD is okay & that you & DH acted quickly enough to save her from any lasting damage (even damage for more than a few hours!), but for you being in so much pain today. How horrible. I suppose at least you managed to be okay for long enough to sort her out, but it must be pretty awful today

I'm impressed by your DH's ability to carry you around at this point, though
