Hi Ladies, Need some advice.. Just been to the loo and think my 'mucas plug'??? (is that what its called) has just come out....I'm 36 wks do I need to do anything?

OddEyes · 06/03/2009 22:04

evening all!
am so tired - up every hour the last few nights!
anyone brave brent cross today saw soo many bumps wondered if i was passing any of you by?
Puzzle - we are going to london zoo tomorrow morning! just a quicky for us though couldn't do 5 hours - you must be exhausted! is ds' 2nd birthday weekend so planning some time in regents practicing on his balance bike before lunch too. think is one of the best memberships we bought being able to pop in and out whenever.
Sounds like folk have had tough days - think this is the hardest stretch in pregnancy - the goal being goal in sight sometimes doesn't help either.
Quite normal to have tachycardia (a fast heartbeat) in pregnancy.
going to catch up properly now but probably not have the time to post again.
hope everyone has a good night!

BoffinMum · 06/03/2009 22:08

LOL Puzzle!

Bumpalump, no need to do anything. It could be weeks yet. But perhaps pack your hospital bag to give yourself peace of mind.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 06/03/2009 22:08

bumpalump - was it bloody?

Oddeyes- whend your ds birthday? i only ask cos dd is 5 on sunday

Swaliswan · 06/03/2009 22:08

Bumpalump, your mucus plug can come away weeks before you give birth. Even if you do give birth very soon then you should be fine as 36 weeks is so far along. The only that may happen is that you stay in hospital until the point that you would have been 37 weeks. The only other thing you need to do is have your bag packed and camera at the ready!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 06/03/2009 22:09

ignore me listen to boff

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 06/03/2009 22:10

and swali

OddEyes · 06/03/2009 22:10

is it a bloody show or just a bit of mucus? last time i had my mucus plug keep come out for about 3/4 weeks, can regenerate itself so now worries - part of cervix ripening. show can be expected up to 2 weeks before anything happens. think i told my midwife at our next meeting?

Swaliswan · 06/03/2009 22:11

It is also normal for a mucus plug to be a bit bloody. As long as you aren't actively bleeding (like AF or heavier) then there is nothing to worry about.

OddEyes · 06/03/2009 22:13

is actually on tuesday but as bike is the present and daddy works past bedtimes etc i thought we would do it when all together - can't see myself trying to help him on his bike with all my aches and pains.

BoffinMum · 06/03/2009 22:13

Overall I have had another good day, which I am sure is down to the glutes being massaged regularly. DH is going to start getting up earlier in the morning to do it then as well, as it seems to make so much difference. My mobility is so much better than it has been for ages and I am less tired as well because of this. I can only hope it lasts.

Anyway, I have to offer up my bottom for further attention now.

Night night all, and a special night night to Frekkles and Ginger, everything will be fine, we promise. xx

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 06/03/2009 22:15

Lol Boffin enjoy you bottom loving Night Night x

Oddeyes - aww bless have a lovely time this weekend sounds like a good plan

bumpalump · 06/03/2009 22:15

Was a bit pinky more than red with mucas attached. Had a busy day so maybe good excuse to rest. Thanks ladies. xx

Swaliswan · 06/03/2009 22:20

Pinky is also completely normal. Oh, I would refrain from doing any cervical self examinations from now on though. Best not risk introducing infection.

Swaliswan · 06/03/2009 22:22

Right, I'm off to bed now. I hope that my infection will magically clear up overnight without the need for a trip to see a doctor and get ABs tomorrow. If not, I'll no doubt be moaning all day tomorrow.

Sleep well everyone x

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 06/03/2009 22:22

Night Swaliswan xx

PuzzleRocks · 06/03/2009 22:23

Boff - There were indeed tapirs, I like them too.

Swali - Ouch. If it's preventing you from eating properly you certainly need to go to the doctors.

Bump - Tis fine if it comes out, could still be a few weeks before things kick off. Have you joined our buddy system?

BabyBolat · 06/03/2009 22:23

Mucus Plug??? I am sorry - what is that?
