BabyBolat · 26/02/2009 16:17

Nutty you CAN'T change your name as then you would be called Stiffy and I can't bring myself to say that!

BoffinMum · 26/02/2009 16:19

It was Springy.
I didn't do nuffink.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 26/02/2009 16:21

oh ok i will stick with this one then lol

PuzzleRocks · 26/02/2009 16:36

I just had a bath for two hours and it was wonderful. Well, except for DD shredding loo roll all over her bedroom.

Due April 2009: Episode 15 - Barbarellys Babies Break free & BB waits paitiently (lol not)
This one gets my vote. Sorry BB

Stary - You thought Nutty's email was viagra spam.

Brettgirl - What a pain. Did the letter give you a timescale for the work?

BabyBolat · 26/02/2009 16:39

Could you imagine the posts...

'Hows your morning stiffy?!!'

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 26/02/2009 16:41

i could change it to spunky that would be worse

BabyBolat · 26/02/2009 16:52

Oooh puzzle nice soak -

Am staying at a friends tonight (who at 6 months pregnant put me on the sofa to sleep!!!) so hoping she will see me tonight and realise this is not practical!!

Brett, we'll just have to have lots of meet ups over the summer so you can escape the building!

PuzzleRocks · 26/02/2009 17:02

BB - Please don't settle for a sofa, it's terrible for your back at the best of times.

OP posts:
SpringySunshine · 26/02/2009 17:16

Ooh, 2 hour bath - nice!

& Boffin, it was not me at all! It was all you. Don't pull that innocent face!

BB, when we visit the ILs, DH & I have to share a single bed. Last time I did that at 30 weeks or so, I vowed never to do it again. Especially as it's a 6 hour round journey to get there & they don't bother feeding us because it's more washing up

bronze · 26/02/2009 17:17

Just wanted to say hi and I hevnt forgotton you. I've read it all I've jut had a couple of mad days and I'm too tired.....

BabyBolat · 26/02/2009 17:27

I don't get why people do that - she is not blind or stupid and is genuinely a caring person! OOoh and single bed - we did when I wasn't pregnant but now we get mum and dads bed!!

Anyway I wont be settling for the sofa believe me!!!

brettgirl2 · 26/02/2009 17:44

In terms of the engagement - my mat notes say '3/5 = lower but most is still above the brim, 2/5 is engaged, as most is below the brim'. I can't see that the numbers actually mean anything according to that. It makes no sense though, because it would be far more logical the other way up. Haven't we all got the same NHS green booklet - it 'explains' it on page 12. It is measured I think from the proportion of the head that the MW can still feel above the pelvis.

I think the building will be starting in the summer holidays - I have talked to my neighbour though (who always knows everything) and she says it is more round the back than directly in front of us so hopefully it won't be too bad. No point in worrying really, because it's going to happen whatever.

I am about all the single bed sharing. I can't share a single bed with my DH whether or not I'm pg, we've tried it, but he says he's rather sleep on the floor!

brettgirl2 · 26/02/2009 17:45

Haha - that first paragraph makes no sense, I worked it out as I was posting

PuzzleRocks · 26/02/2009 17:46

What's the NHS green booklet?

OP posts:
brettgirl2 · 26/02/2009 17:58

OK - obviously it is a local thing then. It's where all our pg notes are recorded (scans, blood tests, appointments). It also has some brief info explaining terms and medical stuff. It just says 'NHS' though - and is printed by the perinatal institute in Birmingham?

PuzzleRocks · 26/02/2009 18:10

I filled in a feedback form for my hospital about the ante-natal care I have received and one of the questions asked whether I had received a pregnancy handbook. I didn't this time nor last time.

Lulu/Schulte - Did they give you one?

mrsfossil · 26/02/2009 18:15

hello hope all is well sorry i've not been on catching up. Been feeling very tired and swollen. Popped in to see mw last week for extra check as was worried about swollen ankles etc. She was so lovely checked me all over bp is normal although she said i look a bit pale so took some blood to check iron. Said i needed to rest which is hard as i run small B&B. But parents came up and cleaned house from top to bottom etc and helped get nursery ready, dh has also been great and i'm trying to get some naps in as i am waking every 1-2 hours at night due to bladder, aching hips. Definately getting to old for all this i'm quite happy that this is the last baby and my family will be complete. Just counting down 6 weeks to go and can't wait.

brettgirl2 · 26/02/2009 18:18

It isn't just a handbook - it also contains all of our personal medical notes. Turn up fully dilated to the labour ward without it and you are apparently turned away

PuzzleRocks · 26/02/2009 18:23

Our notes round here are in an A4 white booklet but it doesn't contain any advice. The handbook (whatever it is) is a separate entity. I was supposed to get one last time and never did so I have no idea what it looks like.
