Fikelly,

Trouble is DS was born in June so his clothes will probably be the right season so I might as well hang onto them all for now.

We haven't completely ruled out going for no. 4 either, so it will be hard to let things go. I think if we do have another it will have to be before i'm 40 which doesn't give us long...WHAT AM I SAYING- COPING WITH 3 WILL BE HARD ENOUGH!!!

Jennster- hope the car is OK- shame about your IKEA trip

I know Dandylioness, what was i THINKING!!! must be pg brain. I just feel really energised at the moment- not sure why

FiKelly · 09/02/2009 12:33

jennster oh no on the bright side at least you can MN instead and not wear yourself out battling your way past all the fellow ikea shoppers

FiKelly · 09/02/2009 12:38

pulapula convincing dh to do #2 was hard enough.. as he's worried about another birth going wrong. i would love more but i'm 39 in may and will have to wait and see how #2 birth goes. think i'll have a very hard time convincing dh for more..

Well we had a cancellation with cavity wall insulation people so they came and turned around and said they couldn't do it any way as we don't have a damp course. At least I can go next Monday (when they were meant to come)

I've just found out the antenatal yoga at the local leisure centre has switched to a Monday, my day off, so can go! Just need to make sure I can get there. Might swap cars with dh, and pick up the dc on the way home.

I've managed to loose my keys though. Can't find them anywhere.

WRT 4dc, we've ruled it out and think it will be best for dh to have the snip. He's spoken to somebody who has had it done, and you need to give 2 semen samples to check it's worked.....Having emptied the testes forty yes 40 times in the 2 months after the procedure!..... I can see there being an accident, it being twins, so we'd end up with 4 & 5.

FiKelly · 09/02/2009 13:15

I love the idea of more than 2dc's but it would be just our luck to go from 2 to 4.. they do say twins are more likely as you get older! it would also be likely we'd have to move house again too.. and on one salary that would be hard to finance anything larger.. i think it more likely we'll stop at 2. so in our post natal thread to be just remind me

FiKelly · 09/02/2009 13:18

jennster at the 40 times!

pulapula · 09/02/2009 13:22

Fikelly,

I'm sure in the postnatal thread just my posts will be enough to convince you that 2 is the perfect number! Although DD is getting so self-sufficient now she's not much trouble (apart from her whining and fighting with her brother) so i'm hoping it will only feel like i have 2 DC to look after (wishfull thinking lol). Roll on Sept when she'll also be in school.

I am sure if we were in a smaller house, we wouldn't even consider it, but as we have 5 bedrooms it is feasible without having to move.

Dandylioness- my DD and DS share a room and it works really well, so i'm sure yours will enjoy it too.

divedaisy · 09/02/2009 13:24

LOL at Jennster's 40 times!!! Give him a dirty mag and tell him to get on with it!!

I'm gonna be 40 in a few weeks time, and I would love #3 also. There are 3 of us (I'm eldest) and DH has an older bro, so he thinks 2 is enough.

Sometimes when I witness the relationship dh has with his bro I worry about having more than one kid - their relationship is stressful. His bro is a liar and a emotional burden with red hair to match his hot temper. I get on ok with my bro and sis, though don't see much of them. Still no matter what the realtionship is like, it's nice to know there is family there... sometimes!!

I'm getting really kicked now too. Yesterday watching TV tummy was like Alien! Told DH to watch - he saw one thump and went 'ok then' - that was the peak of his interest!!!! Anyway I could watch it all day! Seeing MW this afternoon so will see if bump has moved position.

Away to close up shop. Time to get home and help DS make a valentines card for 'his wife'!!!

And YES - it is the best feeling in the world when DS comes and gives me a hug and tells me he loves me and I'm the most special mum in the world! Well he's the most special boy in the world too (to me!!)

pulapula · 09/02/2009 13:26

I think my DH has been put off having the snip, as someone who works for him has just had it done, and was in a lot of pain (although he joked that his wife's sympathy was running out as it was nothing compared with childbirth etc etc). But then he developed an infection, and a blood clot in his leg the size of an orange or something .

FiKelly · 09/02/2009 13:30

divedaisy my belly was an extra in alien too yesterday.. think she wore herself out as not so full on today.

frazzledoldbag · 09/02/2009 13:45

Hi. Am giggling at the 40 times! and at the blood clot the size of an orange as a result.
Am also being kicked - a lot.
Fed up with being pg today - hate all my clothes, look like a whale. Went to be measured for a proper maternity bra as all mine are underwired and hurting me. Came out of the shop with a hideous white bra - size 40D. 40!!!! Am usually a 34. Have been wearing it for about 2 hrs and its not even comfy. And it gives me strange Madonna-esque pointy nipples. Yuck, it may be heading for the back of the drawer. Or even the bin. It was only £12. (maybe that's why it's a bit rubbish, but it is a Royce one from Debenhams so I assumed (wrongly) that it should be ok). Am going to go on HotMIlk later and order something pretty to cheer myself up.
Ordered some Mama Mio body cream and shower cream on Sat as my skin is getting a bit tight/itchy and I loved the Mama Mio stuff last time. Expensive but it's bloody good stuff.
Am mildly grumpy also as DH is being a bit rubbish (don't feel as if we are getting on very well at the mo, possibly due to lack of sex (my fault). Plus am tired. And have gone off all the baby names I previously liked which has made DH grumpy and now he refuses to discuss it. I also have an overwhelming desire to go and buy STUFF. Just baby STUFF that we probably don't need and shouldn't be wasting money on. Like an Amby Hammock and new blankets and just STUFF. And also should be doing some work (but my head is just not co-operating today).
Anyone have any funny stories to cheer me up?

Sorry for moaning. It's just one of those days for me I fear.

Jennster · 09/02/2009 14:05

Isn't thought of getting pregnant with twins, having had 3 already, while dh has had a vasectomy even mildly amusing? No perhaps not. I jest now but I swear it will happen to me.

Momino · 09/02/2009 14:13

hi all.
frazzled, hope your day gets better. I agree that the maternity clothes/bra etc is a bit depressing. my kind DH asked me the other day if i'd like some clothes (valentine gift?) but I've lost all interest in new clothes as I can't bear to buy more maternity.

I'm deciding whether to 1) clean the kitchen, 2) eat another bowl of ice cream, or 3)pick up work tel messages. I'm leaning towards the ice cream and could possibly sneak it by dd1 who is in 'quiet time' in the lounge watching the Wiggles.

about work, i'm seriously contemplating becoming a full time mum after no. 3 arrives. my pay has gone down and only covers one child in nursery so incoming/outgoing doesn't make sense. i just don't know how i'd cope with not having a 'day off' from the children... but i guess that sounds selfish, doesn't it? oh, i suppose it's only for a few years before DC3 goes to nursery. I never thought we could afford it but now it looks like the other way around: we can't afford the childcare for me to work. ironic eh?

had my blood test for the anti D this week. i didn't look at the needle and chatted away nervously. i felt the pinch but happily didn't pass out.

Who else is getting AntiD this week? Or is it next?

Jennster · 09/02/2009 14:17

I'm getting a GTT and AntiD next Thursday. Got the whole day off as I am def. not diabetic, the GTT sends me hypo and I am not a nice person to be around when I go hypo, and the Anti D has to be done in the same week so got them to make the appointment in the same day so I don't need to farting around with lots of different locums covering my absence.

FiKelly · 09/02/2009 14:25

frazzle i hate my maternity bras too they give me a monobosom shape, my boobs end up sticking together... and if i get sweaty i then need sudocream to stop the chaffing! I've only got a v.v.v.small choice in my size would love a hotmilk one... but will have to hope they expand their cup sizes. I too have been feeling the skin across my belly is v.taut/tight I've never tried the mama mio.. maybe as i can't get glam underwear i should splurge on that instead?

frazzledoldbag · 09/02/2009 14:26

jennster - it is amusing, but only slightly as it's one of my biggest fears too! As someone about to have DC3 and (very vaguely) thinking about the remote possibility of DC4 I too am convinced that if I did go for DC4 I'd get twins and end up with 5 kids. And really, I just couldn't deal with that . No no no no. Probably best just stop at 3 then!

frazzledoldbag · 09/02/2009 14:32

ooh yes get mama mio stuff Fi. The website I ordered mine on has a special offer if you buy 2 products you ge their 'Boob Tube' cream for free. Will check what website it was and you can have a look. It's also cheaper on there than on some others.

And just thinking about multiples I have a two friends who (in that last few years) got pg accidentally. One of them had twins (a shock, but not too bad). The other one had triplets. Triplets! Now that's a serious shock. And she didn't even know she was pg for about 4 months (although to be fair the poor girl did look like a weeble by the end!).

And yes, maternity bras are so hideous and that monoboob thing is awful. It's like having a shelf. Gross. Blah.

frazzledoldbag · 09/02/2009 14:35

The website for the Mama Mio with the special offer is called BathandUnwind. My stuff should hopefully come tomorrow. Can't wait. The body cream is delicious.

Jennster · 09/02/2009 14:37

Triplets [feints]

frazzledoldbag · 09/02/2009 14:39

Here
www.bathandunwind.com/brands/mama-mio

Hope that works, never done a link before!

FiKelly · 09/02/2009 14:47

with triplets i expect tandem feeding went out the window! can't even begin to comprehend how you'd manage them.

Had a quick peek at the BathandUnwind site. so many mama mio products to choose from... what did you go for?

MrsExton · 09/02/2009 14:54

Anyone had morning sickness symptoms come back around the 24 week mark?
I have started feeling sick and spaced out about 10 am, feels like I did in early pregnancy and the only thing that seems to help is eating something (although at the time it makes me gag!)
I thought it was meant to go away!!
