Hope we are still on here...??!! dandy agree about the list loads of people on it that we never hear from - ever! (Hope you'll keep me on tho )

Daisy I have the same monitor and i still use it now as I find it reassuring to see my LO flashing at me when she's gone to bed. It was a godsend when she was tiny as I was so surprised at how still newborns are when they are sleeping - used to poke her and wake her up

Febes · 21/02/2009 21:03

I also feel more comfy with a nursing top to hide my G cup boobs.
List trimming is a good idea. My eyes go blurry when I see that thing.

chocolatebunnies · 21/02/2009 21:04

ooooo lovelly fi am looking forward to it!

belgian when do i have to let my midwife know? is there a cut off point?

You may be able to help me actually on the chat re pethidine, when I had my dd, i had pethidine as i walked into hospital as i was panicing, i distinctivly remember the midwife who administered it told me that she had mixed it with something to stop me being sick? is this correct? what would it have been? and could I have it at home for home birth with pethidine?? unfortunatly i dont have my notes from first pregnancy!

Hope your ds is ok, my dd had a rash come up when she had the flu and they told me it wa just a poorly rash! as in she had it because she was poorly, it was all over her shoulder, bright red, raised and very hot but they told me not to worry and it would soon go as she started to get better, but if your ds isnt poorly other than rash, thats prob not much help!

divedaisy · 21/02/2009 21:08

With all this talk of trimming things... er... how are you managing to keep things 'in trim' in the lady garden???? I have a battery operated trimmer and nearly trimmed off more than I bargained for!! that and the angles I had to get in to to try and see what I was doing - even with a mirror! (Not a pleasant view!!!) Going for a bikini wax is OK, but you can't ask for a 'No 1' like you'd do at the hairdressers!!! And I like it short!! It this rate I'm going to need a strimmer!!!

divedaisy · 21/02/2009 21:10

Well Casulty is over - supper time and then BED! I am so tired it's unreal - I feel sick...

chocolatebunnies · 21/02/2009 21:11

divedaisy im thinking on investing in a strimmer trimmer what type do you have??

Febes · 21/02/2009 21:12

What I can't see can't hurt is my motto at the moment. Poor DH. I'll have to sort it soon though as I want to take DD swimming again this term.

detsy · 21/02/2009 21:15

I had a full on Brazilian in time for my birth and was very disappointed that no one commented on my fancy trimming. I swim every Friday with Lotti and at the moment I'm assuming that I don't have a gorilla effect hang out - God I hope not but being a red head I guess its not so noticeable (i hope....)!!

detsy · 21/02/2009 21:17

Hmm i think i'd better check before next Friday and face a full length mirror and some angled views till I can see what I need to!

FiKelly · 21/02/2009 21:20

divedaisy LOL! i've been waiting for someone to mention the lady garden (great phrase ) IKWYM and was laughing so much at the strimmer bit dh wondered what on earth i was doing! back on phone as he's nabbed laptop. struggling with maintaining a manicured garden at the mo.. bump getting in the way of the view. by the end of pregnancy with ds last time dh had to help with neatening..

Belgianchocolates · 21/02/2009 21:26

lol at the trimming. I was looking at myself in the mirror last night and thinking I might ask dh to do some trimming for me as I can't see down below anymore and he did offer to do it when I'd stop being able to do it myself. I think he might be hoping it leads to somewhere, IYKWIM

NHS direct just got back to me. They think it's a bit of a viral rash, because he has had a touch of diarrhoea earlier in the week and he's been having this cough for the last few days. detsy thanks for the suggestion, but he had chickenpox about 4 years ago now, so it wont be that.

chocolatebunnies let your cmw know a.s.a.p. Your next appointment should be OK. I think realistically speaking 34-36 weeks is the latest that I would leave it, but in theory you can change your mind up until the last minute. I don't think our cmw would be happy about that leaving it that late, though + you really want some time to get your house in order too. Your mw would have given you an anti-sickness drug with your pethidine, because nausea us a side effect of pethidine. The drug would have been called stemetil.

FiKelly · 21/02/2009 21:39

belgian what a relief for you.. our ds has had those viral rashes a couple of times.. they always look so worrying and angry.. but do go relatively quickly

pulapula · 21/02/2009 21:39

Lol - all the lady garden chat is making me snigger- DH must wonder what i'm up to.

I like to keep my garden trim, and i think last time I had to resort to the mirror- no idea what the state of affairs is at the mo but DS still keeps pointing and laughing (toddlers eh).

pulapula · 21/02/2009 21:45

Belgianchocs- it does sound to me like a viral rash too. DS has had a few viral rashes now (DD never seemed to get them) - one which needed 3 GPs (at the same time), 2 SHOs and a consultant at the local childrens hospital to look at, as it was so unusual.

chocolatebunnies · 21/02/2009 21:55

belgian im not due to see my midwife again until 34 weeks, do you think I should ring her and maybe speak to her about it before then?

Would I be able to have that anit-sickness drug avliable for a home birth??

Glad your DS is ok.

LoobyLou36 · 21/02/2009 22:01

Untidy lady garden is a bit of a worry

I too like it short. having great difficulty seeing what I'm doing in that respect now.Was thinking of getting waxed but have never had it done before.

I'm shattered tonight, took my stepdaughter shopping today with a friend and foolishly wore boots with heels. We walked miles (at least it feels like that) she enjoyed it tho.
Paying for it now - my ankles are very swollen tonight. I am lying on the sofa with my feet up.

detsy · 21/02/2009 22:09

Just posted 2 new bump pics as had a growth explosion...
Look very grumpy as well but am not really (don't think...)

detsy · 21/02/2009 22:12

I'm wearing heels tomo for coffee with Spangle as will otherwise get soggy jeans but won't be walking far! So out of practice with heels nowadays

FiKelly · 21/02/2009 22:21

detsy what double chin?! great bump and our lounge looks exactly the same when ds is up and around

detsy · 21/02/2009 22:24

Thanks fi only our lounge still looks pretty much the same now DD in bed!! Nowhere to put all the big plastic stuff - need a mansion

FiKelly · 21/02/2009 22:25

here is the link to the next thread again just to make it easy for everyone to find

detsy · 21/02/2009 22:26

Guess we'd best move over to shiny new thread but no Frazz on hand with her frozen mojitos! Where is she when you need her??!

FiKelly · 21/02/2009 22:31

heading over myself... before dh nabs the laptop.
