Polony

the vvv comment was obviously not about your cat........

pulapula · 12/02/2009 22:38

Detsy- i think boys are easier than girls from what i remember - you just slap cream everywhere. I remember being when DDs poo used to end up in her fou fou- much harder to clean.

SpangleMaker · 12/02/2009 23:00

oooh you're talking so fast every time I've read through one page another one appears! I've been in Brum today recruiting for our grad scheme; fun but long & intense day. dh has been sweet & got us a Chinese (anything rather than cook!)

at the thought of big leopardskin pants holding in fanjos. (my first thought was a vision of leopardskin lycra leggings a la 80s glam rock - luvverly!)

Not too worried about fanjo falling off yet, but am finding the big kicks down there too weird - feels like he's going to stick a foot through any moment.

loving the bump pics. i'll try to get one up at the weekend

Morning all. Have a late today, so I thought I'd see what more was said tonight.

RE urine samples: I've got no idea really what causes blood to appear and lab results negative, except that it's quite comon. I think it's just one of those things.

To all of you with the heavy feeling in your fanjo (including my : I've got 3 words to solve your problems: PELVIC FLOOR EXCERSISES! Yep, it's your pelvic floor sagging unfortunately and it needs strengthening a.s.a.p.

Can't believe your mum got you leapard skin pants. Underneath a bump they must be quite a sight .

Right better go and produce my sample now before my mw tells me off. After all somehow it's even worse if I forget it, because I should know better

LoobyLou36 · 13/02/2009 10:19

Morning ladies

I too have a heavy fanjo . Re: pelvic floor exercises - I never know if I'm doing them right and can never keep a straight face when trying...

I've got the day off today as we're quiet at work and I've got a few days holiday left to take before April. Still haven't been paid much

DH took me for a lovely valentine meal last night. Indian - my favourite. But then when we came home carried on drinking - something I notice more when I'm not obviously . He got thro 3 strong ales, a bottle of red and then started on some Pimms we had in the cupboard.

I was really tired so I went up to bed at 10, he said he was going to watch a couple of songs on one of his Pink Floyd dvd's and then come up. The music kept getting louder and then he finally came up to bed at 11.40. Then the snoring started, eventually at 2.30 I decided to get up and try and get to sleep in the spare room but DH decided to instead. Then I had to get up at 7 to wake him and make his sandwiches - some day off!!

Hence I'm having a very lazy day..had yummy scrambled eggs for breakfast - fresh today courtesy of Delilah and Florence 2 of our chickens. I am going to have a good sort out in the house today and get some more crap things listed on ebay.

Sorry for the rant

Belgianchocolates · 13/02/2009 11:07

looby Know the scenario, luckily it doesn't happen to often with us, but if you can't drink yourself then, a drunk DH is extra annoying. My DH also snores when he's drunk and it's very very annoying. It's a shame it happened on your valentine's meal though. So you're entitled to a good rant. You're too good to your DH though: mine needs to make his own sandwiches, I'm not his mum! He does complain about it, but I keep telling him that I'll make his sandwiches if he makes mine

I just discovered that I hadn't sent out an eBay item I'd marked sent, so I suppose I'll be getting bad feedback about that one. I received a very complicated question about a pair of maternity jeans I've got on eBay too. I've got this mole on my back and the waist on the jeans is adjustable with a button and elastic system, IYKWIM. The button keeps rubbing the mole, so I got myself a different pair of jeans and decided to sell that one. This person e-mailed asking about the max and min waist measurement and hip measurement and so on. I don't get it: it's a 12, so if you're a 12 it should fit. I bought it from a catalogue too without all these measurements. Why do people always have to make things so difficult? It's enough of a pain to put things on eBay, let alone to go and measure things I don't even know how to measure rant over.

Got back from my mw appointment and as expected I'm a bit large for dates, plotting a nice cm above the 90th centile on my posh personalised growth chart

Belgianchocolates · 13/02/2009 11:12

Oh looby we've got chickens too. Daisy and Laisy (because she was slow starting to lay). Nice to get eggs, but they are seriously getting on my nerves with their pooing everywhere, because we still haven't got a gate for the decking and it's covered in it. About twice a week I'm sweeping it all off with a deck brush as for some reason DH never thinks of doing it, even now I'm pregnant.

LoobyLou36 · 13/02/2009 11:20

Mmmm know what you mean about the chickens - was DH idea originally tho I love them. I'm the one who usually cleans them out - he doesn't do it properly.

We've got Delilah and Florence (Warrens), Gertrude (Cuckoo Maran) and Daisy (Rhode Island Red).

That reminds me I must pick up some Layers Pellets today.

Belgianchocolates · 13/02/2009 11:24

Same here: DH wanted them and I'm the one cleaning their pen. Though he's the one locking them in at night if he's at home. We had our first 2 chickens eaten by a fox, so we're quite strict about locking them in.

SpangleMaker · 13/02/2009 11:46

Right I've posted a couple of bump pics on my profile. Not very good but the best I could do on my own with my short arms!!

Working from home again today... I feel a bit guilty not going in to the office but I've done a lot of travelling this week & woke up feeling like my body was made out of lead. Unfortunately I've just realised I don't have anything for DH for valentine's day, well I have a card but normally get him some posh chocs from Hotel Chocolat or similar. I've got some heart shaped cookie cutters so maybe I could make something.. hmm... off to look for recipes.

OP posts:
divedaisy · 13/02/2009 11:58

I know all about poos from non-humans. And DH never sees it to clean it up - mind you he never stands in it... We've 2 dogs and my back garden/patio is just one big toilet which is really getting on my nerves. DH jsut wants to hose it all - but where to?? Always the lazy easy way to do something which means in the end it'll take longer and won't be done properly. If I could bend over easier without getting breathless I'd do it myself - but why should it always be down to me to do?

Momino- re my 40th - I'm really not in the mood for anything special! A nice massage would be lovely. What are you planning?

Grumpy - My hair is coloured coppery at the minute and I have a horrible regrowth at the roots which is darker and streaked with silvery greys! The greys are abundant above my ears! I will phone my hairdresser this afternoon and discuss and then let you know what can be done!

Sausage - I love Harriet, Alexandra, Jemima, Megan & Charlotte.

Rek21 - hope your DH is OK. We had to take DS to the hosp one night when camping as he woke with excrutiating abdominal pains. Had to get an ambulance too cos we couldn't get out of the camp site!! Anyway, it turned out to be wind!

Ilare - oh that is scary. Glad the police came quickly. But yes, I'm like the rest of you - very anxious, protective etc... I had a very horrible dream last night - DS was not answering me and I went to find him - I found him underneath a duvet or sleeping bag (??) but he had clingfilm twisted around his neck which I released. He said 'I couldn;t get it off me mummy'. God it wasnt nice. But after he ws born I had even worse and more disturbing ones.

Detsy & everyone else - yes heavy feeling here too in the fanjo, foofoo, oofoof, woofwoof, etcetc and I do do my pelvic floor exercises!

Looby - there's nothing worse than someone getting so drunk it ruins your enjoyment and memory of a special evening... At least he woke up enough to sleep in the spare room! Hope he has a rotten hangover!!!!!!

Anyway will catch up again later. Having to stay in to await the man from Sky coming out to fix my box (!!!) It has been whistleing at me and then I lost my satelite signal! I'm being charged £65 for him to come out. We did try a freeview system but we don't have coverage here...

Have been tidying up DS toy storage and am knackered! SO having MN to read through has given me a nice break. Away to get more done!!

divedaisy · 13/02/2009 11:59

And all this talk of cake reminds me that a cuppa tea is in order with a slice of Raspberry Brulee (and before you ask no I didn't make it... Tescos Finest!)

Momino · 13/02/2009 12:49

Hi all.
Just got back from AntiD and MW 29wk appt. antiD fine, the mw said i was relaxed (i hadn't felt so) and it really didn't hurt. if you have needle probs (i normally do) my advice is to breath deeply and pretend you're somewhere nice and be sure the arm muscle is totally relaxed. i can't believe it wasn't too bad.

i'm defn going to try similar practice (ie buy those relaxation/hypnotherapy CDs) for the birth. I don't expect labour to be pain free but relaxing will help. this is where i went wrong with dd2s birth.

My MW appt fine. Belgian, i too am measuring bigger and mw wants to see me back in 3 weeks so they can be sure baby isn't 'too big for my frame'. this is a as dd1 was 5lb 10, dd2 was 7lb 7 - normal size. i guess that is where all the fairy cakes and choc ice cream have been going. my bump is huge.

Momino · 13/02/2009 12:54

frazzled, my vericose veins are acting up this pregnancy. i've had some weird veins appear in back of my upper thighs and a bit sore. asked MW about it and she said to go to GP to get the tights prescribed... I thought the socks were bad enough .

guess my age is catchingup with me.
divedaisy, for my 40th (in July), I wanted to get a cottage somewhere in cornwall or northumbria and just relax away from home with the children. but we would like to get a new kitchen this year (ours dates back to the 80s) so might have to skip it. otherwise, not sure....

Momino · 13/02/2009 12:57

ooh, i keep thinking of things to say after i've finished a post.

about leopard skin: i have a bf bra that is leopard skin and would go lovely with those pants! it was the only one left of the type and I was desperate so bought it. It makes me smile now as the pattern is so different to what I would normally buy (conservative when it comes to nursing bras).

divedaisy · 13/02/2009 13:11

I used to have a leopard print chimeese (satin nightie thing!!) Meow!! Roar!!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 13/02/2009 13:13

I'm very happy my leopardskin pants have been a popular conversation topic. After consultation with DD2 (who announces every morning at nursery which pants she is wearing), I am wearing the firework pants (DH always gives me a sceptical loook at this and complains there are no fireworks in there any more ).

I am just about to eat a French Fancy and a piece of caramel shortbread.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 13/02/2009 13:15

Divedaisy

you sexy, foxy laydeeeee!

frazzledoldbag · 13/02/2009 13:42

I don't have any sexy pants.
May have to remedy this though as am feeling a bit left out now
Have just been doing my pelvic floor exercises whilst reading this belgian - can't believe I'm 'sagging.' Was appalled to read this news! However am bored now so have stopped.
Met some friends and their children this morning at a local play centre place and at the end one of my friends looked at me sideways and said 'You did say it was a big baby didn't you?'. Er yes, I said. 'Hmm' she replied still looking at me critically. 'Are you sure you still want that home birth. Might be a ten pounder judging from the look of you'.
Er, thanks for that.
Is she saying I'm fat? I must be looking abnormally pregnant today. Not happy.

divedaisy · 13/02/2009 13:46

I have some sexy pants, though I find then uncomfortable at the minute. I need sensible knickers - Bridget Jones type! Even my shorts type are cutting me low across my bump and towards the end of the day it is uncomfy - I just want to rip them off!! I bought some cheap ones from Tescos and the elastic is so thin on them they are nasty - I had to stretch them a bit!

I'm off to find the list and update it.

frazzledoldbag · 13/02/2009 13:58

Save your cheap Tesco ones for after the birth. Then you can use them and chuck them away straight after and not feel guilty!

God this list is so long! I think when I get a moment I'll amend it so that there is only one date to change with everyone listed below each date.

anyway - hope I've calcualted them right again. And it's great to see we're all finally well over 24 weeks!!!

divedaisy · 13/02/2009 14:13

frazzled - yes these nasty knickers are going into my hospital bag! I can;t wait to have an excuse to throw them out!! Anyway not too bad for £2.50!!

frazzledoldbag · 13/02/2009 14:32

Perfect.
And I've been thinking about baby names and am too scared to post this question in the baby name section as they can be a bit, ahem, evil so thought I'd ask you lot instead what you think of it. Bay for a boy? Or is it just too weird? (I know it's what Kirstie Allsopp called her first boy and I think it's lovely). Honest opinions please, and I'll try not to huff too much if you all hate it! (My girls also have slightly unusual but not ridiculous names - don't want to say what they are on here tho).
[wonders maybe I have already?]

frazzledoldbag · 13/02/2009 14:35

BTW dive thanks for doing the list. You are a star.
