Detsy - can you imagine the fuss if I'd let DH peg out on the floor in front of his mother though ? I don't doubt your niceness!

frazzledoldbag · 12/02/2009 22:01

Yup detsy similar fanjo feeling here. It's definitely bigger / puffier (uck, sorry) than it is normally so I guess that's it. Mine's a fou-fou by the way.
[snigger]

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:02

Used to spend a fair bit of time in 'boro as ex PIL lived there so am familiar with the day wear in the town!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 12/02/2009 22:03

Detsy

I could probably get some form of leopardskin sling-style pair of knickers from around here - I know what you mean about the ten-ton fanjo, 'tis very strange, I wonder if it's weight pressing on it?

Bet Lynch!

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:05

Ahh glad about the big puffy foo foo - do you get the falling off feeling?! I'm a foo man chu.... (dobbing one at the mo...!!)

Rek lol oh yes, I can imagine the fuss too if my MIL was here whilst he was flopping all over the floor... He laughs about it now but still thinks I'm rotten!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 12/02/2009 22:05

Frazz

DD1 has a 'fou fou', I had never heard that before. DD2 has a fwuntbum as she puts it.

Momino · 12/02/2009 22:05

hi all.
just had my 4th fairy cake of the day. I'm in a fairy cake craze and it's the second batch i made this week. what a weird craving.

belgian, you do have a lovely bump. mine seems so much bigger! i can't wait to hear what MW says tomorrow at check. Also have anti D tomorrow. can't wait for that either .

llareggub, hope you get some peace. i don't know what I'd do... i don't know our police tel number but should have it posted somewhere visible. i am thankful we have a dog who would probably make a lot of noise.

i'm sick of maternity wear also and am living in shapeless jumpers. i have a couple of nice wrap dresses to wear but it's just too cold at the moment and what would be the use wearing something like that around the house or to playgroup? i'm not motivated to make an effort to look nice but would love to change that. maybe tomorrow for my anti D injection appointment.

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:09

Yese please to the sling arrangement. I've even started wearing BIG pants to help with a. terrible stress incontinence from coughing (helps keep the sheep size tena lady in place) and b. support. God the joys of pregnancy - i used to be so neat and trim in that region Wouldn't recognise it in a line up now

Jennster · 12/02/2009 22:09

Hello everybody. Hope you are all well. Lots of things going on at work and home. I'm very tired and looking forward to my 29 week appointment next week. Also got my gtt and anti-d.

Belgian, sorry to bother you a quick question. Every single urine sample I've 'donated' has had ++blood, so they've been sent off and all been clear of infection. I had it towards the end of my last pg, and nobody was too bothered about it. Now I saw a different mw last time and she was thinking maybe it should be checked out. Have you any experience of this? A friend (non health professional) said oh you've got a pregnant kidney.

Momino · 12/02/2009 22:09

detsy, I've got the same fanjo feeling as well and glad you mentioned it as I wasn't sure I was alone... wouldn't have been able todescribe it as good as you did...

Momino · 12/02/2009 22:11

Jennster, you just reminded me i have to get a sample for tomorrow's visit. almost forgot. hope belgian can answer your question.

goodnight everyone. prob see you tomorrow pm with a sore leg from the injection .

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:11

Momi am entirely with you _ i cannot be bothered to look nice at any time. Not helped by having my super trim, ultra glam best friend here all week Currently in bed socks and dressing gown and aforementioned LARGE pants

Jennster · 12/02/2009 22:12

Ocado are late I just want to go to bed.

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:14

Jennster - I have that too - they keep sending off but comes back with no infection. MY MW says its just kidneys struggling and I need to drink more (ie pee myself more) seriously considering a catheter...

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:15

God I hope Ocado are putting stuff away in fridge/cupboards at this time of night!

Polony · 12/02/2009 22:18

llare I agree thats terrifying pregnant or not. My mother was (as a single mother when I was in my teens and my younger brother was still a little boy) always paranoid about intruders, so she would sleep with an enormous dagger under her pillow to protect herself and us (and we lived in the most mundane middle class suburb, not the ghetto). It was terrifying if I had to wake her in the early mornings for something or other because she always woke with such a panic that I was worried she'd accidentally stab one of us! She's really very civilised. Most of the time. Anyway its reassuring the police got there so quickly, I hope you get by tonight without too much stress. Have you got a neighbour you can call as well, just in case?

rek sympathies also. I hope your fella is alright and that it really was "nothing".

Thanks for the opportunity to moan earlier today, it was all I needed. Thanks for the hug momino!

My cat thinks he's hiding behind a piece of bubblewrap. I've tried explaining to him that its see through but he's not having any of it.

frazzledoldbag · 12/02/2009 22:18

momino maternity wear sucks. It's so hard not to look like a frumpy whale.

ROFL at 'fwuntbum' - so cute grumpy
My DD2 has an 'ouf-ouf' - she gets fou-fou confused.

Which reminds me of when DD1 was little and was watching me getting dressed in the morning one day. She pointed at my 'fou-fou' and said 'woof-woof'. Maybe it did need a bit of trim!

Sometimes my fouf does feel like it's really heavy. I live in dread of varicose veins in it (don't have any but I know people get that - would be awful). Have a stunning varicose vein in my left thigh though which appears to be spreading downwards in bobbly purple splendour. Uck. Hope it disappears again after. (had it with DD2, then it went away).

pulapula · 12/02/2009 22:23

DH was doing DSs nappy this morning, and i looked and said "his balls look a bit red" and my DD was very curious "where are his balls?". We showed her and she said "I want some balls" lol. Kids eh.

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:24

lol frazz at woof woof - my DD has just started taking an interest and made a grab for me this morning - no sound effects tho

hhmmm to varicose veins in nethers - OMG that wwould be terrible - please no no no no.

I'm off to get my cake and stop worrying about FMC horrors

Night all, talk soon x

frazzledoldbag · 12/02/2009 22:25

Right, will shut up now and go to bed. My eyes are very tired and DH very neglected due to all my Mnetting. Hustle was good though!

frazzledoldbag · 12/02/2009 22:26

Cake, you have cake?
Night x

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 12/02/2009 22:26

I'm off to bed to probably dream about being pusued by gigantic leopardskin slings or being burdened by my own giant foufoufanjo.

Detsy, you manage to get across the glamorous side of pregnancy so well, I wear the same old shit all the time, because I can't even be bothered to make much of an effort for work, apart from eyeshadow, of which I am a devotee (purple today, glittery green yesterday, blue Tuesday, teal tomorrow). My current 'lounging' outfit is some ancient trackie bottoms, a really bobbly sweater/shapeless sack and minging bra.

And of course the leopardskin pants, tomorrow may be the ones DD2 thinks have fireworks on in a fetching red/lace/sparkle triumph of tastelesness. Or the vibrant orange pair with a picture of a roaring lion, yes I am one very classy lady.

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:26

Yup pula these are exactly my worries - I have no idea what to do with a baby boys bits - do you put cream on everywhere just like a little girl?

detsy · 12/02/2009 22:30

Think we should rechristen grumpy hotpantsbetty!!! (bet lynch...)

Yeah ginger cake (but really need some custard - the posh, full fat real vanilla one from a posh shop - which I haven't got)

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 12/02/2009 22:30
