BabyBolat · 28/01/2009 20:43

you can't go anywhere with P from portsmouth - choices are:

  • Bilbao
  • Caen
  • Cherbourg
  • Guernsey
  • jersy
  • Le Harve
  • St Malo

also Isle of Wight

Oh mumbles - I'm feeling tired just thinking about a 3 year old AND a 2 year old. My not quite 2 year old is sooooo tiring. And at the moment all I want to do is curl up with a hot chocolate. Impressed that you can still daydream about skiing.

LOL at the'hole'.

LuLuBai · 28/01/2009 20:45

I really want to go to Bilbao. Never been and v. much want to see the Guggenheim.

mumblemumhome4lunch · 28/01/2009 20:46

We went walking in the Lakes when 5 mths gone with no1. Was fab as did loads of low level walks or just very gentle inclines we'd never done before when the big hikes are sooo tempting !!

to all you SPD-ers out there just sounds thoroughly naff and horrid and makes me feel guilty that I love being preg so much . Mind you can almost guarentee my birth/immediate post birth will be pants, on past experience !! It gets you one way or another

Thank goodness DD is still too little to ask those questions. TO be honest I don't think she believes that I have a baby in my tummy. Babies live in prams, not tummies, silly. Everyone knows that.

mumblemumhome4lunch · 28/01/2009 20:50

I've been waiting for the where's it come from question since the how does it get out but have managed to divert conversations so far !!

Mind you he did ask, in the middle of Saisbury and much to the amusement of the older lady shelf stacker next to us, why did new babies have to be so small and couldn't the baby come out more his size so they could play straight away [wince at THAT thought}

LuLuBai · 28/01/2009 20:51

Oh so sweet that he wants to play with it straight away.

BoffinMum · 28/01/2009 20:53

DS2 said to me recently, "Mumy, do you know what you have to do to get the baby out? You have to push really hard like you are having a big poo. Then it will come out". How do they know this stuff?

He did ask me in the summer how the baby got in there, and I wimped out and told him to ask his father. What an educationalist, eh?

We have the perfect nextdoor neighbours in that they have a boy same age as our and girl same age as ours. They had no3 last spring and my two have adored her from the word go - it's kind of been baby by proxy and the best "practice" for them !

Mind you never quite the same as the real thing

BabyBolat · 28/01/2009 20:59

Nutty does your DD want another little sister or brother as I could do with help in that area!!!

LuLuBai - am so gland dd has now started preschool two morning a week, luckily I've found one just down the road where they take the 2s in with the 3/4s. It's the only one around here that does so I've moved ds from where he was. dd has settled pretty quick - I think having big brother there, and our neighbours two has really helped.

Ahh........those few carefree hours twice a week

What Bliss !!

This is indeed true, BB, but in my defence we were in a water theme park at the time, lying on the jacuzzi beds, surrounded by people grinning and dying to hear what I would say next.

He is still baffled because we told him later but he can't quite make sense of the mechanics of sex. Thank god. However thanks to the graphic midwife book we got lent he knows how the end product happens.

Anyway, off to bed now. Night night everyone.

Ladies, have just discovered that MN are stealing our professional advice and publishing it in books, and been rude to them in another post, so if I disappear it's because they've pulled my account.
