Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. (MOS am sticking my fingers in ears re Burger King ) All I want is a lie-in and back rub and someone to do the mountain of ironing for me! DH is at work, DS has been up since 6 and is really clingy and whingy for some reason. I am sitting backwards on a dining room chair trying to massage my own back as having horrible cramps this morning. Sorry for the TMI but they really bear everything down on my cervix and feel like i'm going to do a ten tonne poo - nice eh? Ah the joys!

Btw, Anyone know why you cant use Tens before 36wks?

No news on Ooogs on t'other thread.

Hello everyone.
I'm steering well clear of the raspberry leaf tea, sex, pineapples and even curry. Well maybe not curry. I want to keep this baby IN until my elective on 2nd Feb.

Had the obligatory fanjo waxing this morning and bought some breast pads. Also ordered some more "bumgeniuses" - surely the best name for a product evah? Still no hospital bag packed and I need to clear out DS's old cot, which has become a dumping ground for all sorts of crap, but I'm slowly getting there.

spotty I know what you mean about the ironing! I rang an iroinging company yesterday and they are taking all my bedding and DH's work shirts once a weeks starting tomorrow! Yay!!!!!

Mslucy why did you choose bumgenius? And where did you get them from. I really want to use cloth nappies. Swampster has been a great help but I still haven't ordered any

mslucy, your elective is on my due date. I have just eaten all the sweet things in the house, am feeling very emotional, I guess it's partly that the ECV is over and partly that the section is booked. dd is being very good and cuddly but we've been talking about sharing mummy milk and she's getting less keen by the day. Little sister is NOT allowed to share Mummy's lap either....
Any tips from those who have 2 or more already?

I have sent out my ironing for years and don't even know where my iron is these days.....I have to say, it would be the last luxury I have to go as well.....

Its not actually that expensive either....I pay £9 per hour (and they are a lot quicker than I am) and usually pay £25ish per fortnight. My DH says its worth it not to listen to the moaning

RE ironing, I dont do ironing dahlings... purely because I am so crap at it. DH used to have to iron his own shirts (or I'd get our cleaner to stay an extra hour and do them for him) but now our lovely nanny irons them when DS is napping (sure its pregnancy paranoia but should I be slightly worried DH may run off with her - she cooks, tidies the house and irons... I dont and now snore, look like a dumpy little idol and have the hairiest legs in christendom )

I can't find a cleaner so sending my ironing out is the next best thing. I'm struggling with my housework not just because I'm pregnant but for the last 3 years while we lived in Cyprus I had a live in Filipino housemaid - bliss!

So it's not just the weather i've had to get used to since coming back to the UK!!!!

Spotty, I think no TENS before 36 weeks because there is a slight worry that it might bring on labour (as in no nothing before 36 weeks just in case you blame it). Happy Spotty Day!

Sorry Dinky but I had to at the nanny/dinky comparison. You are growing his child though which means there are no comparisons .

Will try the heat on back, I have CS belt and one of the inserts is cherry pips that you put in the microwave. So will get that out and wear it back to front!

Thought it could be that Swampy, thanks. I am 35 weeks today so may just risk it once the machine is delivered in a few days. The hospital put me at 4 days ahead anyway at the 20wk scan so should be near enough by then.

at you ladies of leisure - what do you do with yourselves without ironing May have a google what is in our area, even if it's just for a month or two when baby's here.

Right, geared myself up for it, pulled the washing machine out ( I really have to clean things I can't see day to day, gross) and I didn't have any bloody washing powder, so ds is now having lunch, we'll have a nap and then I'm doing it. Might get ds up there with me too for a laugh!

Just bumped in to my neighbour who has told me where meters are, I spent ages (well 3 mins) looking this morning. Our is all overgrown in weeds so have to get dp to have a look.
I was supposed to do ironing last night but I sat on here and the phone instead. Will def do tonight. I also really need to do some housework, my foot just stuck to the floor, ds likes to tip his drinks over the floor when I am not looking. I just don't know where to start, I normally do an hour a day and just do 1 room but with dp on nights I have come out of my little routine and the whole place is a mess, there are at east 2 bath toys on the floor or each room , cars and trains everywhere and don't even get me started on the books!

Is everyone doing the lady garden tidy/waxing? I wasn't gonna bother, is that really bad?

still getting random cramps but nothing that feels overly productive, although kung fu panda has gone quite calm.... still moving but none of his usual madness.

gave in to dp and had sex last night as i figured he'll be cut off for long enough after the birth and was hoping it might get things moving.... fat chance!

hope i'm not in for days of this like with dd, wish it'd either stop or turn into labour!

read half way through but gave up so sorry if i've missed anything momentous.... is anyone imminent? have we heard from oogs? is anyone else awol?
