rrrayray · 17/01/2009 17:35

i don't watch BB either, but think the idea is quite Appropriate.

Had a very lazy afternoon doing nothing.

Tree- have you tried all the tricks to get bubba to move? whenever i've been for monitoring they've recommended hot chocolate and a cheese sandwich????

MissHairspray · 17/01/2009 18:00

Evening ladies

rrayray and tree both good title ideas, can't believe almost on new thread already.

stripey sounds positive, good labour vibes to you

moosemamma and lg&t congratulations and gorgeous names. Glad both labours were quick if a bit ouch (massive understatement I know!)

40 + 10 here and still no baby, however just been in for another sweep and although cervix still v difficult to reach has started to efface and dilate so they were more positive about my chances of going in to labour naturally. They are letting me wait until Weds when i'll be 42 weeks before they induce, so I have some small hope now that baby will have arrived before then.

tinkisfourtyweeks · 17/01/2009 18:10

miss h - it is frustrating isnt it good luck i am sure that your baby will be in your arms soon.
i am 40+2 and getting impatient. going in for a sweep mon if nothing has happened

treedelivery · 17/01/2009 18:44

Come on MisHairspray babba!!

Come on jnr Tinks!!

hkz · 17/01/2009 18:46

just checking in quickly....any more babies? Any news from FLF?

Nothing happening here...

stripeywoollenhat · 17/01/2009 19:04

bouncing on labour ball as can't get comfortable anywhere else, have had more show (i think), but imagine nothing all that exciting is going to happen tonight - have some wince-inducing pains but not regular or particularly close together. hoping that this is it, though, even if it takes a while

msh, tink, really hope it kicks off for you soon - and that it makes up its mind for you, tree .

no word from flf?

treedelivery · 17/01/2009 19:08

Hope so too for you Stripey. wince inducing sounds pretty good, I'm now so zoned into every little thing that even a squirm is like ''o o o ois is this it'. Wa s so much more relaxed with 1st.

Gonna get dd to bed nad go for monitoring as bubbs quite despite sugary coffee and a bagel. No doubt will do the rumba on walking on to the unit.

stripeywoollenhat · 17/01/2009 19:12

tree, sure your small one is fine. hope it doesn't take too long

Spink · 17/01/2009 19:18

tree - hope the monitoring sorts you out. Maybe you'll get there, they'll find out you're 8cms dilated and you'll pop out a bub? it could happen, right?

hkz · 17/01/2009 19:22

Hope monitoring goes ok Tree and doesn't take forever.

DD1 was on time... this waiting is completely driving me round the bend! Have treid everything...guess he/she just isnt ready yet!

at all your shows! Who would have thought i would ever feel envy at the loss of another woman's vaginal mucus plug?

treedelivery · 17/01/2009 19:23

I'll try that Spink, least this bubbs could do for my trouble. It's cold windy and rainy and I don't want to go anywhere!

Want your wince inducing ouches stripey!! Just got the dragging feeling here. Hey Ho.

Ooooo wonder how FLF is?

Who is the most overdue? They shoud get the honour of starting new thread!!

stripeywoollenhat · 17/01/2009 19:38

msh? i am 40+4, so not me. overdue enough for my liking, though

fymandwhenisthisbabycoming · 17/01/2009 19:40

I think we should go with the "this is davina...." brill!

on a slightly different note ouch ouch ouch

I don't think it is going anywhere as it is a bit irregular but been having pains for nearly 2 hours, all thanks to a bit of bedroom activity, some pineapple, some raspberry leaf tea and a sniff of clary sage (not all at the same time I hasten to add

treedelivery · 17/01/2009 19:43

You do new thread then as the official one in state of ouch!! Especially bold ouches.

Is ouch worse than wince?

Come on Stripey and fym....labour pom poms may be needed!!

EachPeachPearMum · 17/01/2009 19:47

Well- I actually have had some pains now!
Not contractions, but he was moving about really low in my pelvis, and causing me agony.
DD wasn't impressed poor thing- she has been very clingy this evening, and wouldn't let Papa do anything- wanted Mama only
I think it's really hard for her, because we can't tell her when DS is going to arrive....

hkz · 17/01/2009 19:48

I like the ...''it's eviction time from the big mother house ''... idea too...

I'm only 40+3...but lacking in patience. And not impressed that the house currently stinks to high heaven of clary sage...I am not going to miss the raspberry leaf tea either.

Book Galore- I know...it's slightly depressing checking your pants for a big glob of slime every time you have a pee (which I have to say is quite often)

oh now there's a good affirmation for labour - no more raspberry leaf tea!

MsSparkle · 17/01/2009 20:10

Hello,

Just popping in to say i had a baby boy, Finley on Thursday morning! I didn't have to be induced in the end because i went into labour on my own at 9.30pm on Wednesday night. He is lovely and very contented.

He wieghed a whopping 9lb 8oz I stayed in hospital until lunchtime today. Very happy

oooggs · 17/01/2009 20:15
