Good luck FLF
Hope you are holding your baby by now LG&T xxx

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 08:51

thanks April! I'm hanging out at home for it to get unbearable. Have mum and DD being really bouncy and saying things like 'so you're not really in pain yet are you' and 'they're really far apart' grr. trying to get into the vibe and am almost thinking hospital maybe more pleasant! lol.

tinkisfourtyweeks · 16/01/2009 09:13

good luck flf

nothing happening here hoping that baby arrives over wknd

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 09:24

thank you! HKZ..sounds like you are very ready - get watching those birthing threads, I'm sure they started me off . Think its going to be a long haul though, as they are still regular and very uncomfortable/borderline painful, but am still not feeling like I'm being run over by a truck!

come on tink....

Spink · 16/01/2009 10:06

GTDAB - ooh, well I hope it ISN'T today so you get to rest some more and get reinforcements in before your lo arrives. On the other hand, if it IS going to be today, here's some good birthing vibes... and here's to a nice calm happy baby so your first 2 weeks are easy

Tink, tree & FLF I am very excited for you - looks like it could be a bumper weekend!!

EachPeachPearMum · 16/01/2009 10:07

flf- hope today is the day!

mm and misssparkle should have theirs by now too !

nothing happening here- they are coming to inspect the car this morning, to assess the damage- thrilling.
I am so tired today, even though DD slept through- I just want to go back to bed.

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 10:20

it better be! if this isn't labour, don't think I want experience the real deal!! its beginning to hot up now! apparently can be like this for hours though .

EachPeachPearMum · 16/01/2009 10:24

flf- are you vbacing? (other thread mentioned it)
I was told to go in as soon as I had any contractions I did think they were being a little cautious....

rrrayray · 16/01/2009 11:11

Morning ladies.

Am that you all agree it sounds like a show. Can't think what else a load of Bogie-like stuff would be doing down there! The next time i went to the toilet i had a little more too! But, i wish that was a real sign something was going to happen TODAY.... i mean, it could still be a week or so, couldn't it Just rained on my own parade!

Had WORST nights sleep... felt like had upset tummy/period cramps ALL night, but didn't have upset tummy as nothing happened like that, eventually took myself into spare room as was thrasing around like, well, a beached whale. Still feeling kind of Dull Achy ness, not coming and going, and no major tightenings, just there.

Bubbs still having a party in there since accupuncture.

Off to Hosp Shortly, next bout of Monitoring at 1pm. Blah Blah. Think am going to do a deal with them Cheeky i know... but i'm going to suggest that Yes, they can induce me Tuesday if i have to give birth at the hosp, but if i can convince them that MLU is still an option then they can let me go naturally. We shall see what they think of that Not sure your suposed to bargain with them!!!

FLF How crazy, you post on the Accupuncture one about it not having an effect on you... then, Wham.... Your Miss in labour! Hoping i'm following you... Please?!

Off for shower... will catch up properly later. Good luck to you all xxx

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 11:16

peach, yes I am, but they aren't being all that precious about it, and since being monitored in hospital can slow down the birth and they only give you about an hour a centimetre, thought I'd wait as long as poss . I've also had the consultant and a very experienced midwife telling me to wait for the real deal before I go in, and both of them seemed to think my prospects are good. then again, i'm a 15 min drive away!

Am in the worst, grumpiest mood today. Feel completely fed up and bored...poor DP has scuttled out the house with the dog and DD. All my serenity and patience has gone out the window!

Ray- Good luck with the monitoring...hope its not too tedious and that alls ok with the bubba.

Right...will try and will myself into a better mood, perhaps eating chocolate will help.

EachPeachPearMum · 16/01/2009 11:53

We should call this thread 'Grumps are us'!

stripeywoollenhat · 16/01/2009 12:08

grumps are us - count me in. dp has retired to the garden even though it's raining here, and i think the baby is afraid to venture out... absolutely nothing happening here

but good luck flf! and also to lg&t - didn't somebody say she's underway? perhasp on flf's labour thread?

am making flapjacks. if in doubt, bake and eat.

treedelivery · 16/01/2009 12:10

Bugger it had loads of pains then had a lie down to rest and woke up at 4am. Woke for the height of the pains and slept in between so did wonder when woke up at 9am if the baby would just be in the bed

Just had 2nd sweep, 2-3 cms and stretch to 4cms and heda lower, so more progress but not active labour. It's going to be so quick when it kicks in and I don't want that I want it calm.

Legging it over to FLF on labour thread.....

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 12:21

still waiting for it to ramp up. this one seems to be a bit of a slow burner! for what its worth, been very uncomfortable for 8 hours and may still not be in established labour, so may as well grump with you!

oWwwwwwwwwwwwcha
