i got a couple from greenbaby they are organic ones. they were quite good except that i thought i would be a bit jammy and got large ones which he kind of had to grow into. that wasn't too bad but when he got close to being the right size for them (about a year old) he was also moving about a lot and didnt like being confined by them. so would recommend just getting the size you need for now and then assess as you go along. also make sure you get the ones that zip up from the bottom easy for changing nappies in the night.

Thanks Turnip and Emma I've been looking online at Boots at a few things but would like to actually see them in person before I purchase... But I guess I could always order online and if I don't like it send it back.

Had my 2 week check up today and everything looked good, however, they think I might have a UTI. Should know for sure tomorrow or the next.

Hope everyone had a good day!

i just watched a homebirth dvd my MW lent me and have been in tears, was really lovely, didnt try to make it look like a walk in the park but was a nice reminder of what happens and well the husband was really lovely he was this gorgeous japanese guy and he was the perfect birth partner very calm and present.

Tried and failed to properly catch up. Just saw your sleeping bag thing we used them with DS and they were fab. He was swaddled for the first month or so and then I put him into bags. The only problem I found was that I worried about him slippimng down as the arm holes were so big so I used to saftey pin him in.

Indith good luck.

Back in a bit dinner ready.

veggie was your video about a mexican woman who delivered in a big pool/bath type of thing? Sounds very much like a vid we saw the other day with the ante-natal teacher, she was amazingly calm even if a bit eye-rolling in the second stage! it was amazing when the kids climbed into the pool to join with the new baby - and the way the baby just slipped out! I'll have a labour like that please

Report
Veggiemummy · 06/11/2008 20:19

yeah it is i didnt want to mention the kids cos i thought i would start crying again. How sweet was her hubby, yeah the eye rolling was a bit spooky but in a way kind of showed it wasn't all easy peasy, without being too into the discomfort bit.

I have decided i will have a birth like that but with the G&A pipe hanging out of my mouth for th first bit. In fact DH will be walking in front of me like her hubby was but he'll e carrying the G&A. Actually DH's hair looked just like his until he went to australia, i ddnt mind and he looks good with his new haircut but i suddenly wish he had long hair again.

Kim re Boots near you have you been to Galleons Reach tis very near you and they have a massive boots.

Verso poor oyu are you feelingg better now?

Baby and mummy cinema sessions if oyu go to the websites of the majors cineworld etc they normally will tell you which of their conemas do the screenings. Also what I found was htat quite often the major cinemas would only show films classed 12a and under something to do with company policy and young children attendin. But if oyu go to the independent cinemas thay normally show 15's and 18's.

Katie poor you hope oyu get abetter nights sleep toinight.

ZJ woohoo for new carpets.

Oh Effie head this way I live sort of halfway between Colchester and Chelmsford tis lovley round here very farmy.

Right blimey have I managed to cover everything in all my random posts this evening?

Sorry if I have missed anyone out.

oh arse arse arse. for those of you interested in the fantasist blogger, i decided to ring her up, tell her i read it and ask her to go out for a coffee to discuss it. she didn't answer her mobile, so i left a really pleasant, but to the point message saying just that. i have just received a text message from her saying: "I missed your call?" am i to understand she hasn't listened to my message? is she playing silly buggers? and why oh why does it upset me so much?

went to preggers yoga and found myself sobbing because everything was so calm, lovely and caring. how dare she use this pregnancy as ammunition against me?

apols for the feel sorry for me post

WG poor you she sounds like someone you need to cut out your life. I am a firm believer that just because you once were maybe good friends doesnt mean you will be friends forever and things happen people drift and at that point you divorce said friend this one sounds like a defo cut out your life. Dont allow here to upset you.

Report
Veggiemummy · 06/11/2008 21:00

oh WG it is understandable that it upsets you, it is a really horrid thing to do. Apart from everything else this person is a friend and well it is sad to be disappointed by someone you care about. I'm sorry your going through all this at the moment, it's very weird and just not very fair.
