DH has fallen asleep on my legs on the sofa and he keeps farting and they stink.

And now he is snoring.

I am tempted to throw him off onto the floor.

lardybump · 30/10/2008 19:44

MS what are you waiting for girl!!! That floor is calling for him....

spottyshoes · 30/10/2008 20:00

Up near the Skeg Roundabout - 3 up the bypass from the Carholme one.

Woohoo a Lincoln MN group - that'll be 3 of us then when you get here!! (bit isolated up here MN wise )

mslucy · 30/10/2008 20:16

MS. Just write some rude words on his face with your lippy.

dinkystinky · 30/10/2008 20:21

Throw him off and claim it was a huge kick from the bump that dislodged him, Markstretch...

OP posts:
MarkStretch · 30/10/2008 20:38

Not as isolated as ME spotty!

Small sob.

chilledmama · 30/10/2008 20:56

Is no one down soaph. I know there's a Kent meet-up looming but that's a massive drive away...anyone closer to Portsmouth...I thought there were a few in Surrey?????

dinkystinky · 30/10/2008 21:01

DH has just really annoyed me. He was complaining because I suggested that he take DS to a swim class and possibly also a music class on one of the 3 days holiday he is taking in December (as he has these left to use up before the year end) and he was complaining about having to spend his hard earned day off doing toddler things while we have a nanny to do these things - my suggestions were so he could spend quality time with DS doing things DS enjoys and he NEVER gets to do with DS! And never mind the fact that he has 3 days extra holiday to take because I ALWAYS have to take holiday to look after DS when our nanny is ill/away as he is apparently too busy to do so. Ggrrr

Think he now realises he is in trouble so is trying to appease me with cake and tea........

OP posts:
chilledmama · 30/10/2008 21:42

Bloody DH's.

Do they think we are here to do everything?? Utter emotional vacuum!!!!!!!!!!!!! v

LittleMissNorty · 30/10/2008 21:42

Evening all

Dinky, up until this week I've usually taken the time off work to see to DD as well.....she's had D&V all week and DH stayed home on tuesday to look after her ...long may it continue! She's better now and back to nursery tomorrow ...I need a break!

Saw midwife today. 25+4 now and I'm measuring 27cm....don't let it worry me. I was always bigger than my dates with DD and she was only 6lb 7oz at birth so not the most accurate measurment....as long as it increases with time, then the baby is growing.

chilledmama · 30/10/2008 21:43

Sorry dinky...my DH clearly in doghouse too.

chilledmama · 30/10/2008 21:47

I said I was planning to have a couple of days off...been really tired and just needed to slow things down. I knew he couldn't get time off work but told him of my plans for a day out with DS...he said that was silly and a waste of money because we pay for nursery you know!!!!
The idea of spending time with your child because its enjoyable seemed to be totally missed on him!!!

spottyshoes · 30/10/2008 22:03

Oooh arrrr MS Norfolk border aint far from us - come join us! Too many 'Londers' for my liking, we need to gang up and make our own little meet ups [sticks tongue out and runs as doesn't want to offend the Lundun massive]

My 1 other Lincoln MN'er has just been to Norfolk for a few days so for a moment there you had the majority

swampster · 30/10/2008 22:09

Ooooooooh aaaaarrrr! Far too many Norfolk Broads on this thread!!! I'm offsky!

Cocodrillo · 30/10/2008 22:37

chilledmama, is your spookycrossface emoticon flicking the vs?

rosieposey · 30/10/2008 22:55

Lol MS thats what they told me to do - take some paracetamol too and to be honest that pain that im getting across the bottom of my uterus isnt the sort that paracetamol will sort out. All i can say is that it bloody hurts and the tightenings were so bad yesterday that the doc that was scanning me could see them, sods law though that they eased off when i got into delivery suite - very glad they did though. Does your ligament pain last for a while too? mine seems right stretched across my uterus and hurts for about 10 mins to half an hour?

Mrsy i think they offer all diabetic ladies a cardiac scan plus i was born with a small hole in my heart which went away by the time i was 4. Because they reckon i have been diabetic for a while before i got pregnant without knowing it they have to check up on Lo's heart because they think i had high (ish) blood sugars when i was first pregnant and that they were unchecked so that can cause heart defects. Now i know i am probably permanently diabetic if i ever am fortunate enough to do this again i will ensure that my sugars are controlled before conceiveing again.

TBM glad you and tiny tink are still hanging in there The scan yesterday was kind of nice because its the most active ive ever seen him - cant believe that we are all this far along!

swampster · 30/10/2008 23:09

Paracetamols are ACE, rosie! They made a HUGE difference to the pain from my caesareans - I gained an all-new respect for them.

I'll be having a scan at Tommy's around the same time as you, mrsy, look out for swamp-monsters.

TinkerBellesMum · 31/10/2008 00:32

Thanks Rosie, I'm not allowed to have this baby till this thread has finished (did you see?) We're almost a third of a way through it after less than a week, so not long to hold off!

I've got my scan at 9am tomorrow, so rather early start for me!

mumoverseas · 31/10/2008 05:22

morning all,
TBM, good luck with your scan this morning.
MrsY (and others worried about fundal height) try not to worry about it, I'm sure it evens out in the end and perhaps the way that the baby may be lying makes a difference (it might be standing up when measured????)
chilledmama, I'm south(ish) when in UK. Near Gatwick so easy for Bluewater (woo hoo) but also my mum lives near Portsmouth so sometimes venture down that way.
Shocked by some of the houseprices quoted on here. Around £150 for a 3/4 bed? We can't even get a 1 bed flat for that where we live. Starting to think we can come home after all, move to a cheaper area and afford to send kids to school. Methinks I'll be on rightmove today! (where is Lincoln!)
Hope everyone has a happy friday x

mrsy · 31/10/2008 07:43

Morning! Yay mumoverseas - join the Lincoln collective!

stinky - don't you swamp up the sonography stuff...

mrsy · 31/10/2008 07:44

oops, I meant "swampy - don't you stink up the sonography stuff..." it's too early

MarkStretch · 31/10/2008 08:12

Ha Mrsy- that was an amusing mix up!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Today we are adventuring again.

Waxing at 10- only the face, I still haven't built up to the fanjo.

Lunch at 1pm with an old friend over from New Zealand.

Spooky Halloween walk through the woods tonight with DD and her friend. They are going to take torches and dress at witches and there is fireworks and food and skeletons on stilts.

I am very excited!

Rosie- my stretching seems to have subsided a bit today. Bizarrely I remember feeling rotten and in pain in my 25th week when pregnant with dd. So rotten it really stuck out in my mind, and it appears to be the same this time round. I obviously just don't like week 25. Week 26 tomorrow so maybe it will get better!

spottyshoes · 31/10/2008 09:10

Habby Hallo'een

We are supposed to be going to parties today but haven't gotten dressed yet! Both me and DS are feeling rotten and I have strechings too

dinkystinky · 31/10/2008 09:16

Thanks all for supportive words. I pointed out to DH that I am/have taken 2 and a half weeks of my precious 5 weeks of holiday to look after DS, and while I love spending time with DS, it is not a one way street and he has to take the slack too as and where he can and NOT whinge when I suggest he does nice things with DS on his days off (particularly as he is always complaining that only the nanny gets to do the fun things with DS) - he now totally appreciates he was a total f*ckwit and peace reigns in the dinky household (except for DS who is clearly having a little testosterone surge and is having moments of being the incredible sulk (like the hulk but smaller and less green) this week)...

Markstretch - dont think the London massive have even suggested a meet up yet but that gives me an idea.... Oi, London lot, you wanna meet up?

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 31/10/2008 09:17

Ooh spotty - drink some fluids (find the stretching pains are worse when dehydrated) and take it easy lady...
