Im having a homebirth(weeps into her cup of tea) they live two streets away (sob)
i know my midwife will go apeshit if they knocked on the door but i just know that they will. Mind you...(hastily wipes away tears) what a way to voice your true feelings, there i am mooing away in the birth pool in the kitchen and i hear "coooo-ieeee, just checking your okay?"
and i can yell "F88k off you nosy old crazy witch bastard im having a baby!" and blame it on the gas!

ruthosaurus · 30/10/2008 14:59

I told you water is wrong, even cleverly disguised. Heed my warnings and stick to hot chocolate (and yes I know where milk comes from, it comes from the fridge)!

ruthosaurus · 30/10/2008 15:03

Sorry, cross posts, that last one was aimed at Chocorange and being sick...

DW, never ever give that woman a front door key. And move house as soon as poss. Is your midwife a nice big strong woman? Most midwives I meed these days look like they could easily subdue a grandma-to-be.

Can I make you jealous? Stepmum is coming over to help DG finally get the bedroom decorated on Saturday and has asked for a door key so she can let herself in and get on with the wallpapering if I'm up at the hospital having a good moo. But no other parents have been allowed one, on the grounds that we would come home from work to find them sat on the sofa complaining about our choice of biscuits.

ruthosaurus · 30/10/2008 15:10

Owie, another one.

Sorry for insensitive and flippant comment, Choc, I am not funny and feel bad about that one. Was it basically like a reflux thing?

ChocOrange05 · 30/10/2008 15:14

Thats ok saurus it made me chuckle!! Yes, it was like a baby reflux, DH suggested the LO could be puking in my tummy and it came out via me but not sure about that one! Maybe I'm just a freak and can admit it out loud and blame it on pregnancy!

phee96 · 30/10/2008 15:14

Hi everyone. I haven't posted on here in ages but I have been trying my best to keep up with all the posts so I feel as though I know what's been happening. Hopefully I should be able to post more as I am starting my ML after tomorrow I hope I'm not too late to join in all of the fun!

Huge congratulations to all of you whose babies have arrived, am very as it seems ages away for me (my due date is 29.11.08)

Oblomov · 30/10/2008 15:21

God, you lot do have in laws from hell, don't you ?
How do you remain civil ?
Tell them to go shove their christmas plans, and all this texting updates bullshit.
You all have my greatest sympathies.

Am loving the image of you all, standing, telling baby to 'come out'. Ha ha. Love it.

ruthosaurus · 30/10/2008 15:24

I think its because you have no space in your stomach, Choc! If I lie down in bed too fast it makes me want to throw up - like the baby is catapulted towards my stomach!

I have a dilemma about going to bed tonight - the loo is upstairs but getting out of bed (which is quite high so I can't put my feet on the floor from lying down) is SO uncomfortable with the SPD that I don't know whether to just snuggle up on the sofa downstairs. However, the sofa is too small to stretch out on.

I could get the camping portaloo out but that would just make me feel very glum about being so disabled, even on a temporary basis, and I would technically be weeing in my living room. What to do...

ChocOrange05 · 30/10/2008 15:30

Saurus perhaps ignore all the drinking advice - if you don't drink you don't pee!

LackaDAISYcal · 30/10/2008 15:32

Am I missing our very first live birth? ...or are two of them going on?????

if they are real they won't stop when you move around...iirc. heartmum, my BHs got to the five mins apart stage with DD but as soon as I went for a bath or shower they stopped.

DD just awake...back in a mo!

choc im always being sick at the moment, in my sleep it comes up into my mouth its def lack of space. and how come pumping didnt hurt you? wasnt it you that has been hand expressing for few weeks? maybe you got more to pump, i had droplets and yowzer it was intense dragging feeling that makes my arse clench if i think about it!!

LackaDAISYcal · 30/10/2008 15:41

Rutho...you need one of THESE and a hose

OP posts:
ruthosaurus · 30/10/2008 15:42

Moving around, right - going to do some more laundry...

...bloody nesting, I've done it all!

Next door's baby is crying and it turns out that whole thing about crying babies making you lactate is TRUE!

ChocOrange05 · 30/10/2008 15:45

DW I have been squeezing my nipples for a few weeks just for the novelty value of watching something come out but not really hand expressing. It didn't hurt, just felt wierd - what pump are you using? I have an Avent pump - this one which has these funny suction pads on which are rubbery so they don't hurt.

Tinkerisdead · 30/10/2008 15:48

ive got the lansinoh one, its not like a friction, rubbing sharp pain its the deep drawing sensation as the colostrum came through ooooh i tell you thinking of it makes me go all clenched. seriously do you not get this toe curling sensation even for a few moments with each pump?

Heartmum2Jamie · 30/10/2008 15:57

Woohoo! Homebirth back on as central heating fixed. It is BLISS to have hot water again. The chaps were fab, in and out in just under an hour and that included picking up the 2 parts it needed. Then, because they didn't have any invoices on them, they left without taking payment, lol!

Rutho, grrrr to the weird contractions. I am pretty sure mine are BH's as they aren't lasting very long, just short of a minute each, plus I can carry on walking, talking ect through them. I am starting to wonder how it is possible to feel like baby is low down and high up at the same time, it's almost like he is completely stretched out

Choco, I am jealous of your haircut. I need one really but never quite manage to get around to it. DS2 had his turn this week and DS1's will need doing next week. I always come last, lol!

ChocOrange05 · 30/10/2008 15:58

Nope sorry, I would like to say I wish I did to make you feel better but I don't! I can't feel the colostrum coming out at all when it does.

ChocOrange05 · 30/10/2008 16:00

HM2J don't be too jealous, I only get about 2/3 a year so thought I'd better get one in now before bump arrives! And remember I am still itchy and covered in hair!

Tinkerisdead · 30/10/2008 16:01

okay choc what is your stance on wet nursing and other peoples breastmilk? reckon you'd be prepared to feed mine cos it sends me funnnnyyyyyyy!

LackaDAISYcal · 30/10/2008 16:04

I am mummy from hell this afternoon feeling quite uncomfortable and just want a bit of P&Q and for children to not be around. I've just screamed at DD (and made her cry ) as I took the tub of doublebase from her for the 20th time today. doesn't matter where I put it she always manages to find it.....and then trying to deal with older ones who just won't bloody listen to what you ask of them and won't sit still and be quiet, especially when you are having a nasty BH, isn't much fun.

MummyNic · 30/10/2008 16:04

Oh DW I have similar issues with my mum (IL's are in Scotalnd, I'm on the South Coast so a safe flight away). My mum has been creating over Xmas for a few months now. They only live a mile away and I reserve the right to decide about Xmas the week (or 2?) before. IL's are coming to stay and I'll see my parents on the day, I just don't know if I'll offer to feed them. But all hell broke loose - I'm leaving my mum out etc etc . No.. The IL's had to book a flight BUT if I'm not up to it, they won't be coming either. I'll see my parents, even if it's only 30mins as they are 1 MILE DOWN THE ROAD!!!

The jealousy from my Mum is nothing short of disgusting and resulted in an almighty row when I was 6 months pg - DH hasn't spoken to her since because she is the most selfish woman on this planet....

And breathe..........

ChocOrange05 · 30/10/2008 16:06

Well DW considering I am only earning SMP while I am on mat leave I am willing to try anything to earn some extra money!! Plus, you could bring baby down and enjoy a strawberry ribena at the same time!

LackaDAISYcal · 30/10/2008 16:22

ChocO, you have a fan!

My DS was watching our scrabble game and said you have a "very nice face and look like a lovely lady"...bless his cotton socks.

OP posts:
ChocOrange05 · 30/10/2008 16:28

Ah - thanks Daisy's DH (again, after his SS goodness!) - although it isn't as nice as it once was, baby weight has gone to my bump and my face so I am trying not to show it in public (facebook) at the moment. But despite the fat face I still think I fit the nice lady bit!!

Oblomov · 30/10/2008 16:28

DrsWife and ChocO, pumping shouldn't hurt. If it does. Theres something wrong.

Says Obs, who is pumping for her life, with a mini medela. And did with ds1 aswell. Never hurt. EVER.
