Hello!

I'm starting a Due in Nov thread! A bit early maybe, but hey! By my calcs(!) I'm due Nov 3rd, are there any other ladies out there around the same time? I'm sure loads for Nov haven't even missed their period yet!

Anyway, I'm 27
pg no 4, dd1 born ar 26 weeks, sadly didn't make it, but now happily have dd2 age 5 and ds age 3 next week. And 1 lovely dp of 7 years!

Sorry if you've read this for a 2nd time but was advised by sallie to post on here!! x x x

Ok, not a good day today. Now feel so emotional and can't see the point in anything that I am back in bed. Can't stop crying and just want to go away from everything and start a simple life somewhere else. Sorry to whinge but feeling crap. Does it get better? Can't see any lights at end of any tunnels at mo.

Diddle · 08/04/2005 12:22

Enthusia, don't worry it will all be worth it at the end, just look after yourself and if you want to stay in bed then do it. you should be your number one priority.

ChaCha · 08/04/2005 13:18

Afternoon everyone

Yingers, you mentioned something about cleaning, I usually go mad with the duster just before AF but today there's no stopping me!!! Have cleaned the kitchen which i have avoided entering for the last week and yesterday scrubbed the bathroom tiles!! Is this normal then?

Enthusia - awwww..poor you! Set your laptop up and watch a good movie from bed, have to hand a nice big cold drink and some snacks. I did One whole lesson plan this morning - that was such an achievement I can tell you - its awful isn't it? What does your DH think about you working next week?

Diddle, I watched the first 20 minutes and recorded the rest. I felt totally puke while watching it and had to go and lie down - think it was all too much for me.

Need to lie down now...

Enthusia · 08/04/2005 14:03

Just off to drs again. urine is back from booking in and they grew e-coli from it, apparently this is quite common, need to pick up yet another prescription. Then off to get Bachs flower remedies - apparently they are great for lifting mood and completely safe in pg. Here's hoping.

ChaCha - my DH just wants what is best and thinks work may take my mind off my mood, but he would be supportive if i couldn't go.

BEKsmum · 08/04/2005 17:41

Yingers sorry for not answering you, can't help with the m/c as luckily have no experience.

These first twelve weeks are a nightmare emotionally and physically and are probably the worst part of the whole thing. One minute you'll feel fine & the next you'll feel rotten, sickness can come at anytime so don't kid yourself that if you get up feeling fine you'll stay that way. I find mine kicks in at tea time - great when I need to cook ds & dh there dinner, think a peg on my nose might work though

As for the cleaning I can't remember if you wanted to do it or not but just follow your body it will tell you what you can and can't do. I personally have an ironing mountain to rival Everest at the moment but have absolutely no inclination to do it, so as my firend says with regard to dust & grime, what doesn't kill fattens and the dust will be there tomorrow if you don't do it today and ultimately it will be there tomorrow even if you do do it today so sod it let it mount up and make all the effort worth while . Hope that helps!!!

I watched up to 33 weeks on that program last night before falling fast asleep and it was fascinating, I was a bit peeved with some of the commentary though as it was bit vague, the one thing that really played on my mind was when they said that 50% of babies don't make it and amongst other things which could lead to problems was if you had already given birth to a boy, but then they gave no reasons why - does anyone have any suggestions on this? I personally couldn't think why this would be. I did love seeing the ten week old foetus as that's where I am now and it really freaked me out that it looked so real already if you see what I mean.

Better go as ds is driving me mad, he had a friend to play this afternoon who he totally ignored, then as soon as he went he wanted me to play with him, we are now going to play football in the lounge with an inflatable ball and if he whingingly says mum one more time today I think I am going to scream, thankfully his dad should be in any minute.

Hope you are all well and have a good weekend.

rodeo1 · 08/04/2005 19:21

Hi all,

Have taken dd, ds and dd's best friend to our local farm today. Saw all the baby lambs, they are so cute!! I want one! There's a big free range chicken barn where they all come in to lay their eggs where the children can collect them. came home with 5 dozen (yes, 60!) eggs! will distribute them between family! Only 1.20 per dozen too - bargain!

Kept dousing my hands with the alcohol gel every 5 mins to keep the toxioplasmosis(?) risk at bay! Very strange weather here - snowy and sunny at the same time!

Yingers - don't really like the Marian Keyes, Maeve Binchy Catherine Cookson (heehee, surely only OAPs read Cookson!! Sorry if I've just really offended anybody!) type books my friend gave me about 20 to read saying they were brill, but I found them a bit boring and couldn't finish any of them, recently read Shadow of the Wind by Carlos someone which I would recommend, The DaVinci Code, The Lovely Bones (thanks Enthusia!) erm, reread Angela Ashes, and A Monty Roberts book. Might get The Time Travellers Wife. Oh God I've written an essay, should go to a book group forum

Have read all the Dan Brown's, absolutely excellent - all of them, esp Angels and Demons, better than DaVinci Code. I also like Michael Connelly - but they are american cop thrillers, and that might not be your thing!

dangirl · 08/04/2005 20:35

rodeo1, time trraveller's wife is great! I really enjoyed it. A little bit difficult to get the hang of in the beginning though. Have also read "The lovely bones" - a powerful book.

I have just arranged to go abroad for 3 months to work, leaving in a few weeks time (when I am 12 weeks).
Unfortunately my hospital of choice (queen charlotte's) can't see me before I leave. They had only arranged for booking in app. on 10th of May when 14 weeks (a bit late I think). Therefore I will miss my scans, which I am a bit upset about. They don't do them routinely where I am going (will try and angle one though).
Sorry, just a general moan.
9 weeks tomorrow. Can't wait for the 12 week line!
Have a lovely w/e all.
Hugs, Dangirl xx

koalabear · 08/04/2005 20:47

where are you off to, dangirl?

BEKsmum · 09/04/2005 08:43

Wow dangirl, that sounds very brave, shame to miss out on your scans though. Where are you off to?

Tex are you ok? Are you still out there? I've just reread some of your messages and saw that your sister was coming over from Teaxs at the beginning of this month so hope that's why you've gone quiet, not because of your post 6th April.

Diddle, hope you get the weekend of r&r that you are planning, we've got a swimming & a kids party today and then we are going to Southend with the grandparents on Sunday for a bit of sea air. have a good weekend all.

HellKat · 09/04/2005 09:00

Morning all,
Yippee 10 weeks today. Hard to believe just two more weeks and it'll be the 3 month stage. By belly has ballooned! I already look 3 months gone. After dropping weight when I was ill (could'nt afford to in the first place) I told Dp I now resemble a famine victim! (all bloated tum and stick legs). Luckily though, appetite back to normal so hopefully will fill out soon.
Beks- sorry to hear you were sick. Are you feeling better now?
Diddle- I watched that programme but think I may be the only person who did'nt rate it much. The graphics were astounding and had me enthralled but the commentary did my head in!
That's what dp and I did Beks, waited for the 10 week foetus. Amazing to see that's what they look like.
Rodeo- We had the snow and sun yesterday to! Bizarre or what? Full blown blizzard, then bright beaming rays.
Ds2 seems to have started terrible 2's a year early! The little sod will throw his ball, balloon, toy etc into places he's not allowed to go just to try and get it then will scream and strop when taken away from kitchen, doorways etc! Will be getting stairgates soon (can't wait). Bless he's pulled himself up next to me for snuggles!!! Awww.
Have a fab weekend girls! Take care and Fingers crossed Diddle you get your special weekend.

Enthusia · 09/04/2005 09:10

Hey - I have some good news!!! HOORAAAYY!!! As well as completing 9 weeks yesterday I also got my scan dates through, first scan is on 27th April, which doesn't seem that far away. Gives me something to look forward to. Also hopefully by then this spontaneuos sickness will have subsided and I will have a fresh smelling carpet again.

peepee · 09/04/2005 09:11

Hi guys,

Not been around for ages. Had loads of stuff going on at work. I have started to have another show. I am just over ten weeks and have my first antenatal appointment on the 18th. This is crazy. I don't feel unwell. No cramps etc like last time. DH is being really positive. It's my birthday tomorrow and I am dreading it. Am going out with 13 mates and none have been told about the pregnancy. So i have to smile and just get on with it.

Diddle, I watched the other night. I thought it was amazing. I recorded the programme as I knew i would fall asleep. Unfortunatly i set the timer wrong. Did anything out of the ordinary happen after 26 weeks? I thought the images and the poems were great. Only cried a few times.

DH is taking me out to Earls Court today to the 'Taste of Italy' show. Aldo Zilli will be there sharing his culinary delights!!

Lets hope my weekend is a good one and that my little present stays put for at least another 6 months.

HellKat · 09/04/2005 09:14

Happy birthday for tomorrow Peepee! Try not to worry. Easier said than done I know. I've had spotting now 4 times with this pg and after 3 mc's you can't help but worry. As long as it's not heavy and you don't have pain you should be fine.

Enthusia · 09/04/2005 09:15

PeePee - here's to your body just getting rid of some unneeded gunk and nothing serious!

Hope you have a wonderful birthday and can enjoy being treated by your mates - at least you will be able to remember this birthday - as I would imagine alcohol will be short supply for you!!!

Hope you also get some rest and enjoy the fab weather coming our way!

peepee · 09/04/2005 09:18

Thanks Hellkat. That makes me feel loads better.

DH has just informed me the show I am going to is 'La Dolce Vita'.......If only!!!!!!

Enjoy the week-end.

peepee · 09/04/2005 09:22

Enthusia, just got your message.

You are right about the alcohol thing. DH slapped me on the hand the other day when he caught me with dunking my finger in his beer whilst he was glued to the TV. The plan is to pretend that DH took me out tonight and I got really drunk and therefore am not interested in booze! Hope it works.

Thanks for your support!

Enthusia · 09/04/2005 09:24

OOOOHHHHHH - BEEEEEEERRRRRRRR - I make my DH give me the first little sip of his when he comes in. HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diddle · 09/04/2005 09:41

Done a pregnancy test this morning just to see if we can get an answer before next monday, and the test came up "not pregnant" so i'm afraid my worst fears have come true and all hope is lost. Feeling really disapointed but relieved that we don't ahve to wait another week to know anything. Still keeping my scan date for next week and i'm going to ask them to make sure its all gone. I've stopped bleeding now so hopefully my body will ge back to normal. Still have a big belly though, need to start working out and getting my body in good condition for the next time.
I will keep an eye on you all, and i hope that it all goes well for you. As soon as i have another due date i will let you all know.
Thank you all so much for your endless support, you're an amazing group of people.
All the best.

Diddle

Enthusia · 09/04/2005 09:52

Sorry for your disappointment Diddle - I think focusing on getting your body in great shape for next time is an excellent idea. Just think if you lose loads of weight now then you won't have to worry so much about stuffing your face when you are pg next time . Oh and please have a large beer or glass of wine for me!!! Please let us know how you get on at your scan and of course your next due date!!

Will the drs etc. help you with the pg more next time, or look into any medical reasons etc, just thought that might put your mind at ease!

Hope you have the fab weekend you wanted, esp as the weather is sooo good. Just think of all the soft cheese ploughmans, washed down with a cool glass of chardonnay and followed by a huge mountain of sofy whippy ice-cream you will be able to enjoy!

All the best!!!!

Diddle · 09/04/2005 10:02

lunch sounds lovely, my mouth is watering at the thought.
Doctors have said that they won't investigate until i have had 3 m/c's. Lets hope we don't get that far. But i am going to ask them if i can be classed as a higher risk pregnancy, as i was still low risk this time.
I think this will give me a kick up the arse to start working out more, as i do nothing at the moment. Might join a gym.
trying to stay positive, and look forward to all the fun of TTC again.

HellKat · 09/04/2005 10:21

Glad to help Peepee.
Sorry to hear that Diddle but you're right. Better knowing now rather than a week of agonising. I agree Enthusia, Diddle have a very, very large glass of wine!
Weather here too is gorgeous! But after getting up at 5am yesterday and having a late night, I'm going to have a nap later then indulge in yet more baby programmes on LivingTV!
Enjoy it all.

HellKat · 09/04/2005 10:22

Diddle- Forgot to add, please keep us up to date and fingers crossed you won't have to ttc for long! Throwing heaps and heaps of babydust your way! All the best. Take care hun

Diddle · 09/04/2005 11:47

thanks hellkat, i hope that your pregnancy goes smoothly, i know how worried you must be after the previous tries. didn't take us long to conceive the first 2 times. had some advice from a friend who has done a lot of research, and if you have sex every 3 days then you have a very high chance of conceiving and it worked both times for us, after just one month. so hopefully i'll be back on this site soon.

Enthusia · 09/04/2005 11:53

ChaCha - How are you feeling about returning to work on Monday?
