Welcome lynny! You seem to have the finer points of the June philosophy well sussed out.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, is your 15 year old being a complete Kevin the teenager about a new baby coming along?

just wanted to say thank you to everyone for saying don't go, etc. It is nice to feel wanted after feeling so got at. I really want to be part of your crazy gang, will have to make notes to keep up with it all! I still feel upset this morning but have decided to stick everything in the charity bag as a few quid isn't worth how I felt last night. I was even forced to eat a cornetto and 5 chocolate chip biscuits!!
Have to take DD for her photo in a few minutes but will be back! Thanks all, you are fab.

welshmum · 10/03/2005 09:47

Morning all - especially Lynny - climb aboard the June express lady and welcome - where are you based - are you going to come to our next meet up?
Thanks for missing me Cooperoo - I don't get the chance to post much on Wednesdays as dd and I pursue a very packed social schedule. Real sorry I missed yesterday though given the excellent standard of chat - and now I have that picture of Lippy in my head to contend with
KVG I'm with you on the 'rudies' front - the fear of another m/c did keep dh and I quiet for a while although he has featured in most of my outrageous dreams Things seem to be resuming on that front now although I am still a bit trepidatious (is that a word - should be)
I also missed out on the name conversation. I've got some fabulously obscure Welsh names to inflict on this little one - can't wait. Anyone here able to comment on Welsh names?
Nab - please don't worry about some contributors on other threads(haven't read it)but in my experience I think MN is just like a girls school complete with the different 'types' you'd find there. No need to deprive yourself of the excellent quality of conversation you find on here

nab · 10/03/2005 09:47

Lynny70 Welcome! As you may have read our stuff you will know this lot are very mad and very supportive!

MrsWednesday · 10/03/2005 09:55

Nab, I missed it all last night, have had a quick look and I'm sorry you feel upset. I know I would have done too, it's completely understandable. Mumsnet is a dangerous place out there at the moment, stay in here, it's warm and cosy with plenty of chocolate.

Lynny70, welcome! Must be like doing it for the first time with such a big gap. So pleased you de-lurked.

Charleypops - I'm the same, none since conception either. Have got close in my dreams a couple of times, but that's about it. Poor DH. I was the same with DS, I feel like my body is busy doing other things (growing a baby!) and I don't have the energy or inclination for anything else. Sorry for bringing it up again Uwila . Cooperoo, you're right, it is definitely better post-baby (finally, a positive thing to say about having children!!!).

I hate not having a computer at home, I'm missing out on all the great evening gossip. Will try and get it fixed over the weekend.

Oh my virgin eyes... wherever will I go now that this thread has sunnk into the gutter.

Just because I'm a loud opinionated American really doesn't mean I want to know you lot's intimate sexual desires and positions. Oh, yuck! I might have to just do my work today.

And,I can't leave because you guys are near the only friends I have on mums net. Nab, they did the same stunt to me, by the way. Someone posted a thread with a title like "everyone who loves Uwila, sign here" No many takers. Then people started pointing out the lack of takers. Then, they all started posting other threads about how they all loved each other. And THEN, they started saying that I had posted the original thread for myself... Oh, and then they started umping the bloody thing to keep it alive. I finally wrote mumsnet and said enough is enough, but they wouldn't delete it. Said it was better just to let it die on it's own. Some people just have nothing better to do, I guess.

welshmum · 10/03/2005 10:20

I can't reveal what I'm having as dh has asked me nicely not to so here are my girl's names - Bethan, Carys, Enlli (too hard for non Welsh to say I think), Ffion. Boys - Dyfed, Osian, Taliesin (Tal or Tali) Ioan, Aneurin (Nye).....
Lynny - meet up details are on a seperate meet up thread with ante-natal clubs.

welshmum · 10/03/2005 10:22

That reminds me Lynny - my brother and his missus went for their 20 week scan last week (it's their first) Brother said to sonographer 'Are those testicles I can see there' Sonographer replies 'No those are its eyes'.......

I hope you notice how I tried to inject a note of decorum into the thread for you today Uwila. (Didn't work but at least I tried).

Lua - NTL are just bloody awful. My fave thing was the first thing the automated system would do is ask you to type in your full phone number. Why, I do not know, since they could perfectly well detect this for themselves. Then after wading through 100 menus you would get to a real person and their first question was always "what is your full phone number?" arrgggghhhhh. I also loved the way it would take you through 100 menus before telling you the Customer 'Service' Centre was closed. What a great company.

Cooperoo · 10/03/2005 10:59

Hi all
KVG - Please laugh about the seive. I have to. Gosh if we couldn't have a sense of humour about certain aspects of the whole pregnancy/child birth thing we would be in a sorry state!! The midwife was very discreet by the way and i only really found out what was going on by asking DH after although I had my suspicions (!).
Lynny - Welcome welcome, you are going to fit right in ha ha. Make me lol about fantasising about DH all day and then not wanting it. Exactly how I feel most days!!! Look forward to your posts.
Nab - So glad you are sticking around. We would miss you and I want to know how you and your little baby are doing.
Uwila - I had no idea about that thread. That is outrageous. What a bunch of pathetic bullies there are. Juvenile. The school analogy is very appropriate. Glad you are made of stern stuff as you would have been missed.
Trib - I had a travel system last time and lol at your Mums comments about strapping in just for a walk. It does look a bit odd when you think about it. I am going for the opposite extreme this time with a huge coach built silver cross pram with a toddler seat. (And a double Maclaren for the car). I wish I had had a pram last time and I missed dd facing me as I didn't like putting her in the car seat and so would put her in the lie down part of the pushchair which obviously faced away. It so depends on your lifestyle though. If you have to drive a lot then travel systems are great. I can walk most places and so the pram will be lovely for me. I know Uwila is getting a Maclaren Techno classic which seems to be the ideal choice for London transport etc (please forgive me if wrong Uwila) and she can't wait to ditch the big buggy. I have gone the other way so it is horses for courses. Hope this helps a bit. Prob not!

I'm still here. I'm just in a really sour mood today. DH and nanny have both managed to anger me. But, I've been on here ranting about life for the past few days. Figured it was time to give you lot a rest.

That, and do have to do some work occassionally.
