Thought we'd go with twinklytoes suggestion since she's gone and got herself admitted to hospital in a desperate bid for attention .

Have left everyone on the stats for now, but will do another cull of deserters soon....

Thanks for the new thread CSWS Missed a day and a half of MN and took forever to catch up.

I've got a stinking cold so feeling very sorry for myself I've spent 2 hrs in hospital again this morning (this happens every fortnight now) to check my glucose levels, scan etc which is lovely but not when coughing & sneezing

Baby is growing a little too fast so at the next scan they might talk to me about induction not sure how I feel about this.

I asked MW about having a water birth but as I lost so much blood last time they wouldn't let me but did suggest I could have a room with a bath so perhaps that's a good compromise

Sorry not to respond to your comments personally I have read them all and found them interesting as usual.

P.S. Star Glad DH turned up ok, I would have given him what for too.

Not a drama queen Loulou. I would not have said that.. Just impatient.

I am a bit reassured that you are also getting pains. I have been getting more and more stressed as I thought I was going into early labour.

ajm200 · 04/09/2008 14:59

crampy period type pains that come and go can be early labour so better get organised ladies. If it is early labour it could ramp up at any time... Oh how exciting

Hello,

Well the drama continues....(sorry ronshar!!) the hopsital called this pm to move my appt to monday from Weds. I was a bit freaked out even though the mw said it was nothing to worry about (yeah they always say that) - she thinks the consultant just wants to keep an eye on the baby. She finally -confessed- told me that he has had to move my c-section to thurs 11th as too many on the list for friday so my weds appt for poss induction would be too late i think?

Anyway, he's not planning to keep me in monday unless he finds something i guess, which is good as i will have to take ds as as i have no baby-sitter. i had everything sorted for appt on weds with relatives arriving tues and now the bloody doctor has screwed it up becuase he over-booked himself - men!!!

I have backache and crampy pains and lots of pressure. I have had loads of rasp tea and started evening primrose oil tablets today so here's hoping i get to this the way i want.

Off to bath ds..

Loulou, if you are lucky these cramps, pressure and pains you are getting are early labour and you won't have to worry about any of it. Fingers crossed for you.

Dont apologise Loulou. I am hoping that you get the birth you would like. Will they induce you Wednesday any way and see how you get on? Surely if you dont need a C-Section then it saves the consultant time, seeing as time management is obviously an issue for him. Bless, his secretary is probably on holiday. Also if you really dont want to have a elective section then can you maybe tell them you would rather not. Not sure what the best thing to do is really. I dont envy you your next 7 days.
Looking on the bright side by this time next week you will be a mummy again. Yipeeeeeeee.

oh cripes girls I'm getting worried about these period like cramps, had back ache earlier too. Although this is my 2nd child I didn't have a labour last time so I'm expecting to be late but maybe not! Must send DH up the loft for the baby stuff.

Lozza70 · 04/09/2008 20:39

Oh kind of hoping the cramps are not early labour this week. Really, really want to get myself sorted before LO arrives! Now have bought some nappies and nappy sacks. By hook or by crook I will get orgaised

Did you go to sainsbury. They had a 1/3 off all baby stuff. I encouraged made my DH stock up on cotton wool for nappy change, nappies etc when we went shopping last weekend.
Do not actually have anywhere to put it all at the moment but at least it is here

Blimey ladies - there seem to be quite a few of you showing signs of actually having babies - hold your horses will you !

Bethoo - glad that you mentioned less movement - ds has been moving much more gently the last 2 or 3 days too, after spending Monday morning kicking the living daylights out of me!

Am absolutely shockingly knackered this evening - will be asleep by 10pm I hope. Dd has been up a touch too early the last few days, and with dh away it's had to be me getting up with her. It caught up with her today too, and she fell asleep sitting on my lap watching tv this afternoon, and proceeded to sleep for a good 2 hours . I even managed to move her off my lap and leave her to sleep on my chair, which has never worked before. Hopefully she will still sleep well tonight and be in a better mood tomorrow, as I had to bring her back from toddler group this morning for being stroppy and horrid!

loulou - you can put my c-section comment down to me being slovenly with updates, rather than a lack of faith in you . Certainly wouldn't want to make you feel by it.
