CONGRATULATIONS DIZZY CLAN Finally a girl to keep those boys in order!

Been to meet friends for lunch and to the gym for the very lastest time - they syggested I didn't come back as I was scaring people!!! Apparently someone so pregnant should not be doing more than the unpregnant ones! Also had hydrotherapy session at hospital for pelvic pain - like lhing in a nice warm bath whilst someone wriggles your legs and hips, then leaves you floating peacefully for 10 mins.

Bealcain - Part of me hope this one waits until September so is in the next school year - I work at a school and know how some of the very young ones especially boys struggle in the first 2/3 years and then suddenly catch up where as the older ones have had the extra time and cope better with it all. The other part of me wants her OUT the sooner the better!

Well after feeling utterly crap yesterday today I have managed to walk around Toys r us, Next and Sainsburys. Where did that energy come from? Of course I'm thinking it's another sign of labour as you 'supposedly' get a burst of energy.

Could just be that DP and I can't look at each other at the moment without arguing and walking around the shops was a lot more peaceful

Don't bother with pineapple ! I ate so many with DD1 I actually made my tongue bleed. We had one for desert a few nights ago and nice as it was it did bugger all. DH made a lovely hot chilli a few nights ago to no avail so tonight we are moving on to curry.
DH referred to me as Shamu earlier so we wont be trying the sex option !!!!!

bealcain and oops - I have a friend who is obsessed with conceiving her first child at the 'right' time. Apparently she is adamant that she won't run the risk of having an August baby, as they have an ever so slight statistical disadvantage when it comes to going to university etc. I am fully hoping for anticipating an accidental slip up and an August baby for her

To all those tired ladies out there, have you had your iron levels checked recently? I've just had a call from my GP surgery to say that my iron is low, which is why I am so wiped out by the tiniest little thing. Iron scrip for me tomorrow. Yay

Hi all,

Sorry for not coming back in the last few days. We finally got Saul discharged from the neonatal unit on Monday lunchtime, but had to go back for another blood test (jaundice) on Tuesday. However, he is all clear now and we don't have to go back.

The last couple of days at home have been lovely, but tiring. He basically sleeps and feeds and poos He will sleep for about 2-3 hours after a feed in the day, but last night fed every 1.5 hours. He is sleeping in bed with us so at least I am not getting up, but still .

The midwife did a home visit yesterday. She totally ignored the fact that he had been on the neonatal ward on a drip for 2 days with no feeds at all, and another 2 days on very limited tube feeds - she weighed him and was concerned he had not regained birth weight. She also ignored the notes from the unit saying that he needed no further tests for jaundice and commented how jaundiced he looked. She won't discharge us to the HV and wants to visit to weigh him next week. She sat there watching me feed him (after me telling her I am a bf counsellor) and commented on his good technique

Anyway, congrats to Dizzy on another girl! And good luck to ChaCha for today.

Sleepless...MIL's been here right about 10 days now. Things would've been perfect if she'd kept her opinion (that I didn't ask for) to herself.

TS I had my old name by accident, not changing. And I don't have a new date - though I am telling myself Monday, Monday, Monday. Surely my steely mental will should be enough even if the reflex doesn't work??? If your MIL leaves this w/e will she come back for the actual event?
