Obv meant done not dine!!!

PetitFilou1 · 04/08/2008 09:15

FHLH Ohhhh your dh - mine would have copped it bigtime if he'd done that! In fact I think he'd have known to go to bed in the spare room and eat a lot of humble pie in the morning....

TS Good luck with your appt, I guess you are going a bit mad by now! And of course, we need you to be sane for stats updating purposes

VG Glad you enjoyed the fish and chips. Ours were lovely! Btw it was me whose dh said that I chose to have another baby. Agree with you, pregnancy is something you have to suffer to get to that point.

Stillhere I'm fine about the homebirth. The only thing I am nervous about is if this labour is not quick like the others - but you can't have any control over that so will just have to ride with it.

preg1 Don't worry that you haven't engaged - it means very little. I have been engaged, unengaged and then engaged again since about 33 weeks and four weeks later he's still in there. TS is on her second baby so you can't compare to her anyway! You may find your lo doesn't engage until labour. All that matters is that they eventually do it.

TwilightSurfer · 04/08/2008 09:16

P1....ewwh yuk!

Foghorn boys will be boys you know.

Sazzles, woke up very uncomfortable thought a shower would help. On my way back to bed.

PetitFilou1 · 04/08/2008 09:17

Stillhere If you have drugs in your homebirth kit they should be in the fridge but you might not have any in there (they may bring them at the time) so don't worry about it!

oooh - sorry, I missed your thread foghorn. I cannot believe you are being so patient, I would have strung him up by the balls . Hopefully his hangover will be horrid (and perhaps you need to pop out for a pedicure and leave DD with him?)

congratulations Mrs Magoo... hope you recover quickly!!!

FHLG... your dh sounds a bit like mine... although he is kind of behaving himself at the mo but thats only because all his mates are away at the mo... you have scared me with the thoughts of another potential 17 days of being pregnant..i will not survive that long arghhhhhhhh ....

pregnancy1 · 04/08/2008 09:47

oooh - v excited. Just got my first appointment with a reflexologist this afternoon!!! Two girls on my road have raved about her for during their pregnancies. Hoorah.

TS How long til your mw appt?

cyteen · 04/08/2008 09:56

Congratulations MrsMagoo! Wishing you a speedy recovery, I'm sure having lots of cuddles with Elijah will help

Good luck at your appointment today TS. You definitely deserve to be next on the delivery list, seems like you've been in pre-labour for months

pertelote · 04/08/2008 10:24

Morning all, congratulations MrsMagoo!

TS, hope today is the day for you. I'm getting a bit impatient myself now seeing all these births clocking up! One of my antenatal chums 'stole' my due date on Friday - hers was today so I'm hoping that we've just swapped and any minute now something will start happening! Nothing yet... My other daft superstition is that I have six pregnancy vitamins left in the bottle, so obviously I have another six days of pregnancy to look forward to

Oh SazzleA, well done for being so brave.. i know that has been a hard decision to come too... just think, if nothing happens before then, this time enxt week you will be getting ready to meet your new dd!!! Huge hugs xxx

oopsacoconut · 04/08/2008 11:01

SAZZLES well done you - I think you needed to make a decision and now it's done you can relax and enjoy some time with DD before baby comes. Now you also need to get a name sorted - or have you managed to brow beat persuade DH the Emma is the chosen name?

congrats to MrsMagoo
When is ideal time to get measured for nursing bras?

cyteen · 04/08/2008 11:08

Sazzles I think you've done absolutely the right thing for you and your family. Anything that makes you feel sick with nerves can't be a good foundation to embark on something as huge as giving birth, so I think you should just give yourself the time between now and then to totally relax, be kind to yourself and enjoy the last run of days. The date thing is a shame, but hey, in another sense it will make it all the more special!

pertelote lol at pregnancy superstition...I woke up this morning with a strange expectation that, having got to 37 weeks, my waters would have broken during the night and I'd go straight into labour If only life was so predictable. Still, am being very organised today - have sent off university deferral form, booked a haircut for this week, done a load of washing and arranged with the birth centre to go in this evening and book ourselves in with them. Am shortly going to go upstairs and pack my hospital bag, cos now it's all getting a bit real.

Oh, and after all my whinging last week about not wanting iron tablets cos they would make me constipated, I am delighted to report that in fact they seem to be having the opposite effect. Thank god I was forewarned about the, um, discolouration effect - would have been rather a shock otherwise

Sazz it's the midwife-led centre we looked at a few weeks ago. After vacillating over homebirth/birth centre/hospital we've settled back on birth centre. It's a lovely place, so I hope things go smoothly enough to let me have my baby there.

poppysocks · 04/08/2008 11:28

Congratulations MrsMagoo! Sorry to hear you had a rough time, but glad Elijah is with you now and look forward to hearing from you.

Hope all well with you SKYTV. Wonder if you have your LO with you now...? That'll be me this time next week. Eek!

Good on you Sazzles. Hope you feel more settled now that you've taken matters into your own hands. I def. feel better about my c-section being when it is now and am really relieved not to have the worry of the birth, childcare etc. Sorry the date wasn't what you wanted. We got the choice of any day next week - v. odd - and have wondered whether we got that right - whatever that is!

Wonder if Buckets makes it to her section date tomorrow, or gets/has got her VBAC?

FHLH - Oooohh. I would be expecting some serious grovelling now .

My DH is in v. good books today, having got DD up and taken her to nursery so that I could have a fantastic lie-in. Must go now actually as I have finally come up with both a 'to-do' list AND some motivation to tackle it. By lunchtime I WILL have the hospital bag packed!

Sorry you're still here sans enfant TS and Sarah. I just can't be much longer.

for you oops. So rude!
