Anyone else out there? Just got faint, but definitely there, BFP.

Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

Scrumptious - thank you for your lovely words, one of my friends once said the same thing as you re:timing and even if it is a struggle I am sure (well at least I hope) it will all be worth it.

I haven't gone off chocolate yet - I'll stick with the sore boobs instead I think!

diddle · 19/08/2008 21:42

scrumptiousbumptious, i'm due the 6th April first day of last period was 30th June and i'm 7wks +1 day

We're waiting 12 weeks to tell some people, but most of our family and close friends know already. i'm a terrible liar too, and also made the mistake of telling people we were trying for number3. We're only telling people that we're happy to tell any bad news too as well. Bit hard to miss now though, feel enormous and ahve even had to buy maternity jeans because mine have started digging into my tummy, not very attractive

welcome littlelady lots of luck to you, know how you feel, bit wary of being excited so early and getting your hopes up. I'm from Stourbridge, West Midlands. Yes stretchy pains are normal i'm having lots, one minute i'm worried the next i'm getting used to them

welcome littleduck salbysea so sorry to hear of your tesco incident. very exciting about the scan

i've taken a shine to rich tea biscuits, and also Gu chocolate tiffin delicous

bethdivine · 19/08/2008 21:49

thanks for the tips littlemy
by the way i've dropped off the list, so will try and update tomorrow eve, unless somebody beats me to it - please add me if so
due 7th

bethdivine · 19/08/2008 21:50

by the way, why really is it called morning sickness when we all suffer all day long? - is it really worse for some people just in the morning?

surprisenumber3 · 19/08/2008 21:58

just the word 'meat' makes me feel sick at the moment.....and I can't stand the smell of nail polish remover!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 19/08/2008 22:00

bethdivine: I think we've got the same symptoms! boo hoo Constant severe headaches and all day sickness (feeling sick w/out being sick, so far) - no fun! Certainly not when you have 2 very active toddlers to still be a mum to! LOL

The headaches tho are sooooo bad - I can hardly think or cope. Haven't taken anything for them, but finally today took a couple of paracetamol but didn't seem to do anything. Also feeling very, very tired - basically not sure I've ever felt so weak, exhausted and miserable ever before! After months & months of telling my husband how much I missed being preg & wished I was, now I'm telling him I feel I'm about to drop dead!! Just wish there was some magical remedy to give me some energy!

SalBySea · 19/08/2008 22:02

surpisenumber3 - shall we ask mumsnet to block the "m" word?

The thought of it made me throw up my breakfast earlier - I am going to have to have the vegetarian option on my wedding day cause just thinking about the starter and main we have chosen makes my body go "NOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY"

I am usually such a carnivore!

chloemegjess · 19/08/2008 22:05

Hello. I haven't read through all the threads as there are so many

Just wanted to say, I found out I am preg yesterday and I am due about the 23rd April.

JemimaPuddleduck07 · 19/08/2008 22:06

Hello, can I join in please? Had BFP yesterday and still can't quite believe it as nearly 41, still breastfeeding DD2 (who is 11mths) and first month TTC No3! Thought it was going to take ages to get BFP.

JemimaPuddleduck07 · 19/08/2008 22:08

Oops, forgot to say, think i am due 24th April. DD1 (who's now 9) was an April baby and it's a lovely time of year to have a baby.

SalBySea · 19/08/2008 22:17

hi new BFPs

My partner and I are both April babies so are very pleased to be adding another one to the house

According to chinese astrology they will be Earth Oxes

chloemegjess · 19/08/2008 22:46

This thread is quite hard to work out who is pregnant and who is not? How many people do we have for april due dates? Have I missed a list somewhere?

JemimaPuddleduck07 - I am breastfeeding too. My DD is only 7 months and I am preg again! nice to know I am not alone with the being pregant and breastfeeding thing. Are you planning to give up or carry on?

StorkExpectedInApril · 19/08/2008 23:02

JemimaPuddleduck07 - welcome to the thread. You and I share several things in common: I am slightly younger than you but am pg with my DC3 who, like your dc3, was conceived the first month of trying!! DC2 was also conceived the first month too - in fact we weren't even trying with her !!

Dear Easter Bunny Mummies, I'm off the list I'm sad to say (and I hope this is the latest! if not could someone else take me off the latest please).

I will be thinking of the April ladies. I hate to leave a party so early, especially as I have yet to properly circulate!!!! I'm a little teary today for my little would-be-baby. Fingers crossed I'll be on the July or Aug 09 thread. Hope you have blissful pregnancies.

I will drop in in a few months to see how you are getting along.

Love JenJam

chloemegjess: you're not the only one breastfeeding - in fact, I've never stopped bfing since my first one was born, and I'm now preg with baby #3! I got pregnant with my 2nd one when my first was only 7 months old - it's such a lovely age gap being quite close and they're great friends and don't want to ever be apart. I've been doing tandem feeding with the two (tho my 2.5yo is only getting a short feed at night to go to sleep, and will soon be totally weaned). Still bfing my 17 month old son tho - will have a much bigger gap this time (2yr 1 mo) - just happened naturally, so they're all different.

StorkExpectedInApril · 20/08/2008 08:35

JenJam, so sorry to hear your news. I hope you have all the support you need at this time. Best wishes for ttc in the coming weeks and months.

V1KK1M · 20/08/2008 09:03

Hello,

I was hoping to join you ladies. I am not sure of my dates but I think I am due on 30th April.

I had a positive pregnancy test (a cheapy boots one) 1 week before my period was due (this thursday) so I'm not really sure how far along I am as it shouldn't have shown up and I was just taking it to put my mind at rest.

This is a complete shock as my 1st baby was born on 9th April 2008!! It's weird that I was on this thread for last year too! (Not sure how we are going to manage with 2 1 year apart).

Feeling sicky already and have a lower back pain and cramps. I have a little girl and don't remember feeling like this with her (and if I could choose would love another girl). As always I am worried but think I will be until the 12 week scan (Had a mc jan 2008 so understandable).

Anyway I'll stop writing now but will speak to you all soon!

DungunGirl · 20/08/2008 09:17

Jenjam...really sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself.

StorkExpectedInApril · 20/08/2008 09:19

Hello V1KK1M - you will certainly have your hands full this time next year!! Perhaps the change of pg symptoms means that the new baby will be a boy... but I do know of women who have had very dissimilar pregnancies yet do not have a change of gender....

FlirtyThirty · 20/08/2008 09:40

Morning ladies!

I'm still symptom-less. I am beginning to wonder if my boobs are slightly bigger and tender..but then, that could just be from me squeezing them to see if they are feeling different!?

I have to book my 12 week scan this afternoon - just waiting for 'choose & book' reference number form GP. I'm jealous of all you ladies who get to se your babies earlier. Have not been told when I will see a midwife...certianly isn't before my 12 week scan though. Is this normal?

Flirty x

Due: 24 April

hopeful1 · 20/08/2008 09:43

Storkexpectedinapril - I had an early scan as I have has fertility treatment to get pregnant and they routinely scan you at 6 weeks (or 2 weeks after posistive pregnancy test). I did get a picture but only very tiny and cant really see much. I am so happy I get to go for another scan in 2 weeks as I get to check everything hopefully is still okay!!

Jenjam - So sorry to hear your news, will keep my fingers crossed for you for a 2009 summer baby x

I am sooooo tired and have sore boobs and have gone off meat apart from that feel okay so far!!

evs34 · 20/08/2008 10:44

bit sad as had scan yesterday. i should be 7 weeks tomorrow but the scan showed an empty gest sac of 4-5 weeks, nothing else to see. not sure if i have had a missed miscarriage. have to wait for another 2 weeks for re scan. has this happenend to anyone else? want to keep hopes up but will be upset all over agian if nothing has changed in 2 weeks. at the same time if it is ok dont want to send the litle thing bad vibes. aggghhhh horrible.

hope you are all ok. x

BabyBolat · 20/08/2008 11:03

Hello and welcome to all the new BTPs - I only joined last night and already feel like an old hand!!

ScrumptiousBumptious - I think it's all to do with cycle lengths, so I am just going by what the doctor told me although I thought I was only 7.5 until my appointment yesterday.

SalbySea - I feel your pain - I made it as far as the back garden this morning and then on the side of the motorway on my way to work.... pleasant! Would like to keep it a secret as long as possible but not sure how feasible that is going to be! Thought I had found some wonder foods but what worked for me yesterday is making me worse today!

I can't wait for the 12 week scan - if nothing to just put my mind at rest! I only registered with the midwife yesterday tho so hopefully they will contact me soon!

Hope everyone is surviving today - anyone else just not able to concentrate at all!!!

Claireykitten · 20/08/2008 11:05

Well the all day morning sickness seems to have kicked in full force the last couple of days. I suppose thats what I get for worrying about having no symptoms! I have also been having to have a nap with DS in an afternoon so I definitely feel PG now. Phoned the docs this morning about sorting my booking in appointment and have been told to just go fill in some forms and they will contact me with an appointment for after 8 weeks so its all starting to feel really real now. I think I am finally starting to feel excited about being pregnant again so I am just trying not to think about it all going wrong as that is just not how I want to be feeling.

Clairey
