Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

Thank you for sharing Mollie, what a horrible experience for you to go through. I do feel I would rather be prepared for all eventualities, there's no hiding from the possibilty of mc, all I can do is hope its not me (that probably sounds selfish) but prepare myself a little just in case.

emma2617 · 09/07/2008 15:03

Afternoon Ladies!! I have been trying to distract myself all day...hence my absence this morning!!

I hadn't heard from GP yet, so at half 2 I decided to call them just to get a rough tome when he might call...and I got a recorded message saying they were closed and there opening hours were 8.30am - 6pm...what the $%?!?! So I walked up there and there was a great big sign on the door saying they are closed today until 3.30pm, not giving a reason, just that they are closed!!

I am now soooo mad and I keep taking it out on DP, he is starting to get a little annoyed with me snapping at him

I am going to call them again at 3.30 on the dot!!

so of all you out there with m/s!! I have a real hankering for cheese and pickle sandwiches and beef paste and feeling very tired...but thats about it!! I think if I threw up I would feel a lot better

dinny · 09/07/2008 15:04

sorry you had that experience, Mollie, but every pregnancy is different, so think positive

God, I have really bad what feels like trapped wind!! really sore, can't get rid of it, an suggestions - also still feel queasy, have spent last 3 hours on sofa reading book (kids at school/nursery!)

Playingthe9monthwait · 09/07/2008 15:22

Emma, so for you, I would be worrying myself sick by now.

Dinny - feel for you and the trapped wind I had some bad wind last week and it was so painful, I seem ok now. I think sitting on the sofa is a good plan, I wish I could join in!

MKG · 09/07/2008 15:24

Hello everyone.

Mollie sorry about your mc, keep your chin up though.

Emma go kick your gp's ass.

Dinny all I can say is fiber and lots of water.

Nothing new here. It's offical ms has stopped. Which I'm happy about. In my last pregnancy all symptoms were gone by 8 weeks though so I think that's normal for me.

3 more weeks until midwife appointment, I can't wait because then it will feel like this is really going to happen.

Dh asked me last how I knew I was pregnant, because he still doesn't quite believe it. I was like "you idiot" I don't know if it was the week of nausea, no period, or the many sticks I peed on, or just the feeling of knowing. He's such an idiot

emma2617 · 09/07/2008 15:51

Well MKG I was just about to ring up and open a huge can of whoop ass...when my phone rang!!! HCG levels have risen from 472 to over 3000 in 4 days so GP is happy that is is a normal progressing pregnancy and not ectopic or failing!!!! I have to ring and make an appointment to sign forms for free prescriptions, get my confirmation of pregnancy and book in scans and midwife etc!!
I am sooo happy!! I am finally updating my stats!!!!!

Thanks for your support ladies...you rock!! Here is to a wicked 9 months!!

Fab news Emma,
Dinny, sofa and a book, sounds heavenly... I just want to sleep and sleep but spent all day having to do My Little Pony voices for DD... hmmmmmm!

dinny · 09/07/2008 18:32

Emma, brilliant news!!

I have just spend an hour trying not to vomit in a traffic jam - had to go and watch dd do a Stagecoach performance and felt really pukey, bleurgh

LobstersLass · 09/07/2008 18:49

Wow Emma, that's brilliant news!
I'm really chuffed for you!

I still have morning sickness envy. I want more symptoms!!!

emma2617 · 09/07/2008 19:00

Thanks Ladies!!!

I have just got back from fat fighters (AKA Slimming World!!) and the leader kept stressing that they will need midwives permission for me to keep attending...I didn't have the heart to tell her that I wasn't going to pay £4.25 a week to be told I was getting fat!!! I think I will just re-join later!!

How is everyone this evening? Any one recovered from feeling sick yet?!

firstduemarch09 · 09/07/2008 19:35

Fantastic News Emma your must be so pleased.

Well the sickness is still here, im still fed up its a week now that ive felt continually sick Morning Noon and night. I got up for loo last night and still felt sick.

The only way to stop is to sit and do sit do nothing .

Anyway thats my moaning for the day over, just needed abit of a rant.

nomorenappies · 09/07/2008 20:41

Just to add my details. I tried to get a booking appt with midwife today & was told they were all full & that I need to ring her in the morning & ask her to do a home visit - this seems quite strange she never came to my house last time.

emma2617 · 10/07/2008 00:37

Well, I am having serious issues sleeping! Think I slept better when I didn't know what was going on!! I have got so much running through my head! But I have to be at work at 8am so I need to sleep! but still

dinny · 10/07/2008 09:31

felt so awful last night I ended up sleeping all evening on the sofa and then stumbling up to bed and zonking out again and over-sleeping this morning

feel a bit better today though, bit less sick

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/07/2008 11:08

Morning.

I can second sleep issues Emma and Dinny - I seem to be struggling to sleep at the moment as well. I thinks its all this built up tension and excitment inside plus being thirsty so drinking more which in turn makes me want the loo more. I also feel quite bunged up and more sensitive to dust which doesn't help when you are trying to sleep.

I do not feel sick at all today which is strange as I have the past couple of mornings. Still I suppose its early days so symptoms are likely to come and go a bit.

MKG · 10/07/2008 12:02

Good morning everyone. I don't know what you guys are talking about with the sleep. I sleep like a rock. I did pretty much sleep through ds1's pregnancy though. With ds2 my need to sleep was what keyed me in to being pregnant. So I think while some women have terrible morning sickness, I just can't keep my eyes open. It doesn't help that I've given up caffeine too.

ceedub · 10/07/2008 12:10

Hi everyone,
definitely waking up every morning feeling rotten. DP keeps anxiously telling me to sit down! but ti seems to wear off by mid-morning, then come roaring back in the evening. All very strange....
MKG i admire your ability to give up caffeine...I'm struggling. have just about managed to get down to one cup of tea and one cup of coffee, but that might be the limit. Are other people still drinking coffee?
