Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

Yarnie Hello lovely to see you over here missus
Playing I'm with you on the feeling rough, not quite so tired today but keeping feeling sick although I haven't been yet.
Just had a ginger biscuit at break though so feeling a little better. Roll on 5pm and my sofa!
Morning everyone else

Playingthe9monthwait · 18/07/2008 11:34

Hi Mollie, at least we can keep each other company!

auntyspan · 18/07/2008 11:34

Welcome yarnie

I have found Morrisons Ginger & Lime herbal t-bags absolutely brilliant. They really settle my tummy and they're caffiene free so I can drink as many as I want

Feel much better today (other than the fact I have a cold ) prob because I had a good 8 hours last night, which is great when you have an early-waking toddler on your hands!

Decided to go for an early scan too so will get booked in for next week I think. I'm allowed to self refer to the EPU due to previous miscarriage... not unduly worried but as symptoms seem to be levelling off a bit I'm a tad worried.

Hello all, just passing through (it's Friday night here and I want an early night!)

Citybranch - so sorry to hear about your mc. I've been there myself, take you time and make sure you're looked after.

Yarnie - hello there! I think we were on a 2ww thread a while back (I had a different name). This really is a busy thread!

Lots of stretching type cramps today but not much else. No nausea although I have been eating constantly so no time to feel sick.

Hope everyone is having a good Friday. Enjoy the weekend!

Mandy73 · 18/07/2008 12:18

Hi Yarnie, congratulations & welcome!

SunshineSmith re. what to wear in autumn/winter: I ordered this in plum as a lucky charm when on 2ww (worked! ), just got it and it's delicious.

I hope everyone's OK today.

CaptainKarvol · 18/07/2008 13:12

Hi all, and welcome Yarnie.

Can anyone think where I could get one of those necklaces that is like a little chime in a ball, that goes over your bump? I really wanted one last time, but was being v. careful with the cash. Now I have all the baby stuff, I think I can be extravagent! I can't remember what they are called, so googling has not helped me!

xxx

emma2617 · 18/07/2008 14:47

Yarnie Congrats...good to see you over here so quick!!

I am not too bad today..it could be due to the fact that I'm off work, took it as holiday cos I couldn't face another early morning and long day!!! I still have seriously sore nipples though which is not nice!

Hope everyone is okay....and looking forward to the weekend!

Playingthe9monthwait · 18/07/2008 14:51

Aunty - might have to investigate those tea bags, wonder if waitrose or tesco sell something similar?

captain - sorry I have no idea what you are talking about

Emma, I really need to take soem holiday, maybe I will later this month.

Hi everyone else

Am feeling much more like it now. Went out for lunch and it has worked wonders. I am full and feel a bit refreshed. Hope it lasts me throught till 5 but even if it doesn't at least I feel a lot better right now!

spaghettiarms · 18/07/2008 15:23

Hi can I join you?
I tested this morning and am due 27th March
will hopefully stick to this as the last two DC's were on time.

ceedub · 18/07/2008 15:35

Hi everyone,

Apologies for not posting in a while, have had mum visiting which has been lovely, but v busy. Most exciting news is that I had my early scan yesterday and saw a heartbeat! Just incredible. So my little bean is 8.4mm long and 7 weeks and 3 days old. So incredible! But the best thing is that this means a much lower mc risk - 97% likely to succeed now, so DP and I feeling very, very relieved.
Hope everyone else going well. I'm completely exhausted and can't stop burping!

ally90 · 18/07/2008 15:39

Hello!

May I join? BFP was on Wednesday, due 20th March ...I'm v excited!

Db will be db or ds for dd 2.3yr

Playingthe9monthwait · 18/07/2008 15:58

Welcome Spaghetti and Ally, Congrats on your BFP.

Wow - Ceedub, thats great news, I am so tempted to arrange an early scan but its only about 4/5 weeks till I get one on the NHS so it seems a bit premature!

spaghettiarms · 18/07/2008 16:05

thanks for the welcome.

just trying not to get too excited yet..
very early days

Playingthe9monthwait · 18/07/2008 16:20

i know what you mean spaghetti, I am still trying not to get too excited just in case. Although as each week goes past my excitment builds!

winemakesmummyclever · 18/07/2008 18:52

Hi to all and congratulations to all the new bfps!

CaptainK bola necklaces here for £15.00.

www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/detail.php?productid=ST17109&branch=IM&category=IPP71

I have one from when I was carrying ds - still wear it occasionally.

ceedub - great news about your scan. It always makes it much more real. Hope you got some good pics.

sadiemcgradie · 18/07/2008 19:34

Thanks for thoughts about working away at 20 weeks. I'm going to ask if I can go for 2 days instead of 3...hopefully my boss will say I don't have to go at all! (here's hoping...)

It's a very exciting time isn't it. I've passed the nausea stage - as long as I have a tidy supply of snax - but feel fairly knackered and a bit tearful every day or so. Anything will set me off then!

It is interesting going through it second time around. Me and my DP got pregnant within 6 weeks of meeting so year one for us was all about trying to find somewhere to live together and we moved in finally together 6 days before she was due to house without a kitchen. So for me this time around will be so much easier.

CaptainKarvol · 18/07/2008 20:00

Bola neckalces, of course, thank you wmmc.

Hi to all new BFPs, and ceedub that is so lovely. I still have my 8 week scan pics of DS, it's just great to have that reassurance isn't it?

LobstersLass · 18/07/2008 20:24

Hello all,

I've been away with work for a few days. Today I've got horrendous heartburn. It is so painful! Gaviscon isn't touching it. Ouch, ouch, ouch!!!

Citybranch, so sorry to hear about your CP. Take care of yourself. Take time to get over it.

Morning all, thank you for the welcome...now can someone tell me if I can eat peanut butter or not? What is the latest gov advice? Cannot find it officially on web...just a daily mail article...

dinny · 19/07/2008 09:10

Ally, I have eaten peanut butter for both my prev pregnancies and have been in this one, fwiw (no allergies thus far)

twocutedarlings · 19/07/2008 09:25

Morning all,

Ally90 - The current advice is not to eat anything with nuts in. I was talking about this with my MW last w/end.

The funny thing is with DD1 i still ate nuts, and she doesnt have any allergys, but with DD2 i didnt eat nuts and she does have allergys to both nuts and shell fish .

CaptainKarvol · 19/07/2008 09:52

I think the advice on nuts still depends on who you ask... I avoided last time (or thought I did until somone pointed out crunchy nut cornflakes are, um, nutty), don't know that I'll bother this time. It's not a big risk, whether it is a risk at all is still debated. Up to you, I think.

MollieMooma · 19/07/2008 10:11

Hello and welcome to the newbies

CaptainKarvol I love the idea of that bola necklace, will have to remember that when I eventually get a bump

Fearless I'm with you on the savoury, I seem to be only to eat what I fancy and anything else makes me feel ill, couldn't even watch celebrity masterchef last night! Not fancying anything sweet which is really unusual for me

MavisGrind · 19/07/2008 12:24

Ally as far as I know (and it does depend on who you ask) I think you only really need to avoid nuts if your partner has an allergy/intolerance (as if you did you wouldn't be eating them anyway) I think some study or other suggested that avoiding known allergnens could increase the risk for the lo as they haven't built up any tolorence.

So, your guess as good as mine really!

Well, I don't know about savoury but I went for high tea this afternoon and managed to knock back rather a lot seven cakes. They were small mind

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend
