Morning everyone,

Well i have been sick this morning Gross.

I ate so much yesterday, i was just constantly hungry!

tinkhasabean · 19/06/2008 15:37

how many weeks r people
cant believe i am 10 weeks on sat already

Periwink · 19/06/2008 17:13

Hi ladies back from my dating and nuchal scan. Baby is well and everything is as it should be - so feeling positive and happy. Confirmed I am 11 weeks 5 days, baby due on the 3rd January. Also had bloods done - they do a combined blood and scan for teh Nuchal tranlucency test - so fingers crossed all ok. Still no Midwife appointment as yet - called hospital yesterday to ask about my appointment and was told they had no slot for me as yet - gotta laugh!

LittleSquirt · 19/06/2008 17:19

What wonderful news periwink!!! Totally outrageous about your MW though! I would be VERY cross if they said that to me!!

Tink - I am either 10 weeks tomorrow (according to my last dating scan) or on Sunday (according to my dates - that's the one I am going for, I know when I ovulated so it's unlikely to be wrong I reckon!) and I agree that time does seem to have gone quite quickly actually. I just can't wait to be at my 12-week scan (and to be told that all is well hopefully, obviously!)

MsSparkle - sorry you were sick today, at least you know your pregnancy hormones are raging which is good for your bean!

tinkhasabean · 19/06/2008 18:17

gr8 news periwms s hope you are better now
ls we are the same then ye

MsSparkle · 19/06/2008 18:40

Evening all,

Periwink that's wonderful that your scan went well

I am feeling better, it seems i feel worse in the mornings.

I am off to my aqua natal class this evening! I hope it's good.

ellasmum1 · 19/06/2008 18:54

Just hijacking ths thread to say Happyathome I finally got your latest message! Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I have left a reply on the other thread xxx

chefswife · 19/06/2008 19:15

i have finally found two midwives which i see this week to see if we gel. both are into home births as well. what luck. it's been a tough two week search since being back finding one because over half the births in Victoria are with midwives. plus it seems that everyone is having end/beginning of year babies. the race is on for the first new year baby. one of the radio stations has a big prize for it. although i due date is jan 6th, maybe my mosheshe will come early.

periwink, great on the scan. can't wait for mine. it's all getting very exciting.

well, i'm off painting. ciao for now everyone.
(man i'm just a little chippy today... )

MrsMagpie · 20/06/2008 07:52

Hi All. So wonderful hearing about all of your scans. I had my first appt with the Midwife yesterday got to hear the heart beat because it's such a long wait until my first scan it's reassuring to know that my Bean is really in there. MW had a good feel of my tum and she thinks i might be further along by as much as 2/3 weeks! Also as i am quite short (5ft) she doesn't think i'll go tooo overdue even though it's a first. Has anyone else heard of this?

tinkhasabean · 20/06/2008 08:12

morning

mrsm glad midwife went well
chef good news about midwifes

mrsmontano · 20/06/2008 09:06

morning ladies I've been lurking around here for a while, so i thought i'd finally add myself to the list, i'm nearly 10 weeks now. still not heard from any midwife or got a scan appointment or anything....
Lovely to hear of all these good scan results.
this pregnancy was a huge shock for us, i was on the pill :S but i'm finally getting my head round it.... but now i'm at the stage where im absolutely terrified somethings gonna go wrong because i know if it did, we definately wouldnt try again.
im currently stressing about my morning sickness easing off, being a sign that somethings wrong, i should be happy to be feeling a bit better! there's no pleasing me

Hi folks, just skimming past to say 'hello'

I've been vaguely skimming when I get a moment so it is good to see all the scans going well.

I'm starting to feel a bit better, I think, but I won't talk too soon!!

elkiedee · 20/06/2008 10:13

MrsM, I wish I believed your midwife - I'm not exactly tall and was induced 1st time round. Sorry! But it's good to think you might be 2 or 3 weeks nearer to having your baby, anyway, and some 1st babies come early too.

moosemama · 20/06/2008 10:15

Hi all

Just dropping by quickly, great to see the lovely scans and hear everyone's positive news.

mrsmontano welcome to the list, I'm not around much but I'm sure there will be some regulars along to welcome you soon. Try not to stress about the symptoms, most people find they come and go at different times. Try to make the most of any times you aren't feeling as sick to get some food down your neck, you never know when that lovely nauseaus feeling will hit you again! If you feel so stressed that you really can't relax and you can afford would you perhaps consider having a private scan. That's what I did when I had a scare earlier on and it was a huge relief to know everything was ok. Different places charge different amounts, but my viability scan at around 9 weeks was £70.00.

I would check with your GP surgery about not hearing from a midwife - I had to contact my midwife myself rather than the other way round.

Almost daren't say it, but I think I might be starting to feel a little bit better. Going by ovulation, I will be 12 weeks on Tuesday so maybe that's why. Still feel nauseaus, but nowhere near as badly as before and a lot of the food aversions seem to have subsided as well. Still ridiculously exhausted but I can handle that compared to the last few weeks!

Have booking in appt at hospital next Thursday. Haven't had a scan letter as such, but the letter about Thursday's appt just says 'you may be scanned at this appointment'. So who knows whether I will or not. Apparently the birth rate has suddenly shot up round here so maybe they just don't have any slots available and are going to see if they can fit me in? Its my own fault for leaving it so late to book in really.

Anyway, better get on, got DS1 of sick from school today and want to spend some time with him before DS2 gets back from Nursery.

happyathome · 20/06/2008 11:01

Welcome MrsMontano.
hope you're all ok.I had midwife booking yesterday and she rung up and got 12 week scan for me.It's 10th July.At last!
Still tired, but food aversions slowly going too...still can't hack meat much though.
mrs magpie..glad you heard the HB.
moosemama-glad things have been smoother for you since the scare.
we won't get an NHS nuchal apparently.Don't think i'll bother as my risk is 1 in 400 and odd anyway and they don't give you a definate yes. Will just have nuchal bloods done.
ellasmum-great to hear from you...have left you a message too in antenatal list.
take care everyone
happy and Snugs xx

tinkhasabean · 20/06/2008 11:49

hi
mrs m

i am 10 weeks tom are dates are very close.
i wouldnt worry about symptoms they can vary at this stage and come and go.
10 weeks is a great stage to get to one quater of the way there
i would ring the drs though and get an appmnt or private scan if that would reassure you.
i had my scan mon was great to see bean

mm ye for nearly 12wks

food adversions are horrible dont remember having that problem with dd1 feel nauseous on and off all day. dont fancy much to eat

nooschmoo · 20/06/2008 13:07

Just having a quick look on - so nice to hear about all the positive scans, and people's sickness symptoms subsiding!! I seem to be eating for England in the mornings then feeling so, so, so sick in the evenings, (although that could just be due to the morning gorging...) but I swear I feel like I'll keel over with hunger if I don't stuff myself silly. Have a fridge full of strawberries, blueberries, peaches etc - just a shame it's only the muffins that fill the hole....and I don't think I've ever been this exhausted in my life, not even with DD1. Am keeping my fingers crossed it'll go in the next couple of weeks though - I'm 10+4, (I think) finally feeling calm about it all, and really excited about my scan, on 2nd July!

Hope you're feeling better HappyatHome - I've been thinking of you, glad to hear you have your scan date!

Hi all - I've taken my name off the list as I had a scan this morning, which showed that the pg hadn't progressed beyond 6 weeks.

I'm gutted as this is my second mmc/blighted ovum, and at 41, I'm beginning to think I don't have much time left to get pg again

Anyway, good luck to you all for the future and I hope to be back on an ante-natal thread soon.

LittleSquirt · 20/06/2008 14:07

NoNickname - how sad for you I am really, really sorry and sending you big .

I hope that you can get pregnant again very soon and that you have a healthy sticky bean next time.

Take good care of yourself. xxx

Spink · 20/06/2008 14:57

nonickname I'm so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you.

moosemama · 20/06/2008 16:19

nonickname so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself.

Try and keep the faith, a friend of mine had her first at 43 with a similar history to you - and has since gone on to have another.

Mum always says 'you have to co-create your dreams' so don't give up hope, keep looking forwards and try to be as positive as you can at this difficult time.

Sending much love and light your way. xx

Teuch · 20/06/2008 16:33

Sorry to hear that news. If you want to talk then feel free - I have had a mmc in the past and I understand what you are going through. The miscarriage threads are also a haven of support.

I wish you all the best for the future. Keep well.

stripeywoollenhat · 20/06/2008 17:13

nonickname i'm so sorry to hear your news, i had a mmc in january so know that it's a really tough thing to go through. i hope you (and your oh) can take some time to be nice to yourselves and that you will be back on one of these threads in the not too distant future.
