Hi

Couldn't see a Feb thread so thought I would start one as am so excited to get a faint but definately positive HPT.

Fertility friend estimates a due date of 4th Feb.

Unfortunately (or fortunately)am off this afternoon for a hen weekend in Barcelona the first holiday in at least a year and a half and can't drink. Ohh well will have to be the responsible adult..... Hence checking to see if up the duff before I went drowning myself in Sangria.

Hope to see some others on here when I get back!!! If anyone cares to join me?

Hi. I cannot read 630 messages to catch up with this thread!
Just had a dating scan and am at 5/6 weeks, so can I join you all?

TinkerbellesMum · 16/06/2008 15:39

Hello, think I'm joining you! Although I will most likely have a Christmas/New Year baby as I don't carry to term. I've got an antenatal appointment next Friday (if I can't wangle an EPAU appointment in the meantime) so will know more about dates next week.

I haven't had a period for about 6 weeks, but I'm still nursing my 23 month old and my cycles are all over the place. I only tested today because I haven't had a period, don't feel like one is coming, my nipples feel bruised, I was a little travel sick yesterday.

I have very symptom free pregnancies, but don't hate me, I am a very high risk pregnancy as I have Hughes Syndrome and have lost triplets at 8 weeks and had a live 20 week birth before I had the wonderful Tink! I like to think that my body knows I'm having a hard enough time without being sick and feeling terrible all the time!

BumpVLump · 16/06/2008 15:44

Hello all,
I have been reading this thread for a couple of weeks and have decided to be brave, jump in and join.
I am due 12/2/09. My first! BIG suprise.
We have been trying to get pregnant for ages but with no joy. I signed up to see a fertility clinic... then a few months ago I got wierd abdominal pain which wouldn't go away. I knew something was wrong. Scan revealed a large ovarian cyst which they wanted to remove.
Was a few days away from my op. when I found out I had something else in there!..(thought my period not showing was due to my cyst messing with hormones)
I am very happy, but just so worried as it is still so early.
Had a scan today and saw the little yolk, no heartbeat though as yet. Also today found out my cyst has shrunk so V happy!
Feeling sick all the time but no actual sickness yet. Hope everyone is doing ok...
Good luck to all! x

TinkerbellesMum · 16/06/2008 15:47

Oh and Lily-Hope, my first was due mid-February 2006, so not sure how I'm going to feel about it all.

littleboyblue · 16/06/2008 15:48

BumpVLump
How lovely for you! I had san today too and when saw dr after he said the best way to be is to know it ok right now and I can assume that until I get symptoms to tell me otherwise. Think he's right but hard isn't it.
I'm scared too, so you're not alone there. X

BumpVLump · 16/06/2008 15:52

Thanks littleboyblue.
yeah, Im trying to be positive so sending positive vibes to my belly! Sad to waste my time worrying, I should be so happy. Its so nice to be able to tell people here. We are all in the same boat...

MarkStretch · 16/06/2008 15:53

Congrats to everyone!

Bumpvlump - love the name! Weird isn't it, we have our first fertility appointment this Thursday and suddenly I'm pregnant! The GP was not surprisd as she said it happens lots. She has also advised us to still go on Thursday and they won't be surprised at the clinic either. Feels a bit cheeky though.

littleboyblue · 16/06/2008 15:54

Absolutely, it's not time wasting to worry, it's natural. Just a long waiting game, but it is nice to know that the people on here have all been there and done it kind of thing.

LittleMissNorty · 16/06/2008 15:57

Congratulations to all the newbies

Bumpvlump....ditto! I was due to have gallbladder out last Monday and as I couldn't remember LMP, the nurse told me to take a test.....and here I am....gallbladder still intact.....and baby

MarkStretch · 16/06/2008 15:58

It is a waiting game. The midwife at my surgery didn't have any appoinments available until 11th July- that seems miles away........

BumpVLump · 16/06/2008 16:00

It is wierd.
My man and I know, because I was pooorly with cyst there was literally ONE time this month...and I got pregnant... yet before we were TRYing- timing, taking temps and stuff. Its crazy!
Feb feels like such a long time away...

beanymum · 16/06/2008 16:29

Amazed at the length of this thread already! Just got back to work (3 wks ago)after year long maternity leave with dd2 and now find i'm preg again due 11th feb. Don't know how i'm going to break the news (obviously if things don't go wrong - had a couple of miscarages between dd1 and dd2). I am a teacher and by the time I am far enough in to tell them the summer holidays will have kicked in and I will be about 4 months.Hope to be able to stay on this thread but remain guarded as early days yet. good luck to everyone that has managed to get this far.

babyignoramus · 16/06/2008 18:56

Can I join in please? Just have BFP this weekend (well, 3 to be exact - call me paranoid!). My book estimates due date as 26th Feb.

No other symptoms, yet - bit tired and feeling a bit queasy after food but that's it so far.....

Bit shell-shocked still as this is my first and we conceived second cycle!

oooggs · 16/06/2008 19:06

so sorry CE

welcome to all the newbies

Clarabumps · 16/06/2008 19:32

so sorry CE

i phoned in sick today- naughty i know but couldnt be arsed. Havent had a day off from the wee one since Christmas..well new year to be precise. It was great- put the baby in nursery and went to see sex and the city movie. Pick n mix and everything. it was immense..felt like i had no responsibilities for the first time in ages.
hello newbies!! welcome welcome.. bump v lump you're due the same day as me. Its sometimes a bit scary to join a thread i think. I know that might sound odd- but i feel like its the first day of school again and you want to talk to the popular kids. That my ridiculous pregnancy paranoia i know..

question: i've never used a sling. does the baby get used to it and want to be carrier about in it all the time? do you get tired carrying the baby plus pushing a buggy?what happens when it rains..(i live in scotland-it happens a LOT)

LuLuBai · 16/06/2008 19:43

Hi Clarabumps - I just used the sling here and there - e.g. if I wanted to pop out for a pint of milk and didn't want to get the whole pram out and once or twice to go across London as prams on the tube are a nightmare.

My DH liked it and used to use it a lot to go for a walk and to take her out for 20 minutes in the evening when she was colicky and I needed a break.

She loved it but also loved her pram.

And when it rains the baby is as protected as you are by an umbrella.

Clarabumps · 16/06/2008 20:03

i think i'll get one..and save it for dry days.. dunno how i'll manage pushing a buggy with ds1 in it and manage an umbrella, whilst dc2 is in a sling. might be a bit of a task..i cant steer at the best of times.
i'm off to bed.. shattered!!
night all..x

Evening ladies and hello newbies! Your day sounds perfect Clarabumps. I have just had two weeks off and have to go back to work on weds ? not looking forward to it as my mind has sort of slowed right down and I've got to get the enthusiasm to sort out everything around the house before I go back. Really cannot be arsed if I am quite honest!

I've got a maya sling but I never plucked up the courage to learn how to use it! Maybe this time around I will.

Am very bloated today (sorry if tmi!) and nervous about returning to work with a pot belly ? all the women will suss me out right away. They did last time, when I finally announced at 12 weeks that I was pregnant they all screamed 'we knew it!' and then proceeded to show me the months worth of emails that they had been sending between each other speculating on whether I was up-the-duff or not.

loopylula · 16/06/2008 20:12

Hi Davidsmom, nice to hear from you. Are you well?
