Hi

Couldn't see a Feb thread so thought I would start one as am so excited to get a faint but definately positive HPT.

Fertility friend estimates a due date of 4th Feb.

Unfortunately (or fortunately)am off this afternoon for a hen weekend in Barcelona the first holiday in at least a year and a half and can't drink. Ohh well will have to be the responsible adult..... Hence checking to see if up the duff before I went drowning myself in Sangria.

Hope to see some others on here when I get back!!! If anyone cares to join me?

Back home ladies and just thought I'd check in with you all before I crash for the evening. I ended up feeling so absolutely shattered that they totally believed my illness story and I even managed to escape early. To be honest my constant yawning was beginning to bring down the party mood.

I've been getting really weird twingey type pains in my groin and back, sort of like when you over stretch a muscle. They have been occuring in the evenings over the last few days, are they normal? I don't remember having these before, anyone else got/had these?

Davidsmom ? you are so right about revisiting the +ive test feeling. I feel great everytime i see a test turn positive and it keeps me going until the first scan.

PinkTulips · 13/06/2008 21:32

loopylula.... i got absolutely chronic 'growing pains' with dd and less bad but still freaky ones with ds so as long as there's nothing else bothering you i wouldn't worry (impossible i know)

loopylula · 13/06/2008 21:41

Thanks for the reassurance PinkTulips. Makes me feel a little better, i shall tuck myself in for an early night and not let them bother me.

PinkTulips · 13/06/2008 21:50

sleep tight

speaking of sleep, is anyone else suffering from insomnia? i'm finding it impossible to get to sleep til the early hours of the morning and then i'm so exhausted all day i'm falling asleep whenever i sit down.

i thought it was too much sleeping during the day that caused it but i didn't get a chance to doze off on the couch the last 2 days and it was even worse!

fruitstick · 13/06/2008 22:20

My DS1 has been incredibly clingy all day (he's 2). He has just wanted to sit on my knee all day which isn't like him at all - usually he is just the opposite.

I only found out I was pg yesterday. Do you think he senses something is afoot? Or am I trying to credit him with more psychic skills than he actually has!!

fruitstick · 13/06/2008 22:20

reading this, I sounds like a right sappy mare

PinkTulips · 13/06/2008 22:27

kids can be very intuitive, he might have sensed something... even if he doesn't know what that something is

McDreamy · 13/06/2008 23:26

My details seem to have fallen off the list.

Don't forget to do some pelvic floor exercises.

ChocolateEclair · 14/06/2008 09:29

mcdreamy congratulations! You must be over the moon after a year of ttc! Hope all goes well for you xx

pinktulip my sleep patterns have gone crazy since I found out! I am asleep by 9.30-10ish at the latest then awake in the early hours, then slept again til 8.30 today!

Boobs are still feeling like Jordans (wish they also looked like it!). We are off camping for the night tonight, so fingers crossed that the sunshine I see at present holds up!

I have bought DP a fathers day card for tomorrow from pip! Has anyone else done that (obviously only really asking the 1st timers here!). Thinking I might be a bit sad, but he will think it's very sweet

have a nice day everyone xx

louisebunny · 14/06/2008 10:06

Wow, if you're away for a day theres a lot of posts to catch up on!!

I'm 5 wks now, which is very exciting as this is further than I've made it before. Mapleleaf, you totally summed up how I feel when you posted on Friday - apprehensive.

This will be my first too (fingers crossed), but I had a m/c last time so I can't quite let myself believe that this one will be ok.

Being able to tell people at 12 wks seems a VERY long way away at the moment!!

loopylula · 14/06/2008 14:39

That's cute CE! He'll love it.

Louisebunny, I'm 5 weeks today too. Couldn't remember whether i mc'd at 5 or 6 weeks so am still feeling cautious but optimistic.

ruthmollymummy · 14/06/2008 14:46

Don't worry CE - I bought my DH a fathers day card last year - DD was born the following august.... and I was severely hacked off when he didn't buy me a mothers day card when I was PG!

louisebunny · 14/06/2008 14:52

Loopylula - we must be due at the same time then, how exciting! I'm optimistic too, but daren't be too optimistic. I feel like if I can just get through the next few weeks then I'll be able to relax a little bit.

loopylula · 14/06/2008 16:11

Louisebunny, I see you are due the day after me but I am adding at least a week to my date as DD1 was 9 days over due so I make my own prediction of 21/02/09.

shubiedoo · 14/06/2008 16:53

Hi, may I join? Was four days late, did a test today. My due date looks like Feb 17.
Lots of posts, maybe we should start part 2!

shubiedoo · 14/06/2008 16:55

Oh, and I already have two boys, 5 and 17 months. I'm nervous about ds2 being just 2 when the new one arrives!

PinkTulips · 14/06/2008 17:09

hello all.

i'm having a lazy day today, was given a lie in this morning and i haven't done much but sit on the couch feeling sorry for myself and reading dd stories since i got up, ds has slept for hours and has just woken up so the house has been eerily peaceful.

was supposed to be bring the kids to a party today but between the fact that i'm not sure i could last the few hours without puking and my friend deciding not to go which would leave me with not really anyone to chat to i really couldn't be arsed.

at the fathers day cards from the bumps..... i've always done it with cards, with dd and ds... bump was always included in the card. i didn't know i was preg with dd yet for fathers day though (which is weird to remember coz dd's due date was a good 2 weeks before this bump's!)

does anyone have any tips for how to get rid of headaches without painkillers? my head has been pounding on and off all week and if it goes on as long as with dd i'm in for a good 2 months of it.

I've added in my due date - I'm going to wait until much later in the pregnancy before I admit to a specific day (mind you, I know exactly when I conceived, so I expect my mw will work it out once I actually get around to meeting her).

I've not been around for a while - the name changing is such a faff...

Another potential tandem nurser here. Nipples are beginning to get sensitive, though nothing like as bad as first time round, and at least I'm not getting balloon breasts since the milk's already flowing.

And I've been sick once and feeling nauseous more and more as each day goes on. Ah well, it's all in a good cause.

I told work this week. Partly because, as a second timer, my belly is expanding on a daily rate. There's no way I can hide it until 12 weeks. I'm up 2 dress sizes already, and seriously considering a self-indulgent trip to Jojomamanbebe... Is it really unheard of to be in pregnancy trews by week 7????? The problem is that trousers two sizes too big are just baggy everywhere and look silly.

And I also told work because they are already planning stuff for next Spring so it seems somewhat duplicitous to pretend (in between nibbles of a nausea-settling jacob's cream cracker) that I'll be there bright eyed and bushy tailed when in fact I won't, I'll be on my babymoon, all being well.

I hope you are all feeling sick and tired

Anyone got food cravings yet? I cannot begin to tell you how many bowls of shreddies I have eaten in the last week...
